AC Hotel Istanbul Macka

Staff steals from the hotel rooms: We stayed at the AC Hotel in Macka on our trip to Istanbul in June 2024. The hotel itself is fine, also the gym, etc. are ok for the price. Unfortunately though hotel staff stole from our room. We had a shopping bag with new clothes in it in the room and when we came back from our day trip, the bag was gone. At first we thought perhaps someone from the cleaning team thought it was trash. We then asked the manager at the reception and he said he would check the cameras. After apparently doing so, he said there was nothing visible on the footage. They said they checked the trash and there was nothing in the trash either. This to us means it was stolen from the room — otherwise it would have been visible on the foyer cameras that they put a bag in the trash. We asked the manager around 5 times to give us a solution, since items were stolen from our hotel room in their hotel. He refused to help over and over. At some point we told the manager there that we wanted to be reimbursed for the value of the stolen items and presented them with the receipt. They kept on saying they would get in touch with us but never did. When we left Istanbul I called twice and they did the same thing. Would not recommend this hotel if you don‘t want things to be stolen from your hotel room and then poor customer service.
