Comfortable stay at Amber Hotel old city, Reception staff is very helpful and friendly. delicious breakfast on the rooftop, rooms are clean and fairly new. beds and pillows are comfortable. 10min walk to the tram station/grand bazar Our first two nights they offered us LG floor rooms which were in a bad condition and really dark with some funny smell. we could not sleep properly.

Thr room has very poor lighting. The decor red sheet at the bottom of the bed fell on the floor from 1st night yet they put that back on the bed instead of putting it for wash. I removed it and gave it to the receptionist. The headboard had dust on it. Wasn’t cleaned before we arrived nor was it cleaned during our stay. The room is small, very tough to open bags and move around the room. No space to keep luggage. The hand shower fell on my son’s head once and the shower room was also leaking making the entire bathroom floor wet. For $60 more, you can get a better hotel with cleanliness and more space. Our itinerary changed so we had to checkout one day early so they did agree to refund the 3rd night back which was good. Would I stay here again? Nope. Won’t recommend either.

Visited this hotel in January for first time. It was very good, comfortable Really close to all the mail places of interest . The staff are very nice , friendly ,especially Halil. We recommend to stay there, because we really enjoyed Thanks for good times, Amber hotel See you next time 🕰️

I would like to highly recommend the intimate Istanbul Amber Hotel. Beautiful interiors, very clean, friendly and attentive staff, professional service. Delicious breakfasts. The hotel is good.
The receptionist is great and very active, Ali is the best.
Breakfast is nice.
The emplacement of the hotel is good too.

Very good hotel. Located in the old city walking distance from all the big monuments, however be prepared for about 6-8 minute walk up the hill to reach the main road( grand bazaar, mosques).
The rooms are cleaned every day and provide with water also daily. Reception so helpful and accommodating for everything. Breakfast on the rooftop is excellent with some different options daily and very tasty. We had an issue with the fist room given to us but they changed it immediately and helped us. Rooms are ok for a 4star hotel and we definitely recommend it!

Went from the 30th April to 6th May. Staff are lovely and knowledgeable, informing us of the historic sights to see. Hotel was very central to main routes especially the blue mosque, tram line and grand bazaar. Will miss Istanbul, especially the hotel cat we made friends with who slept on our bed every single night. To whose that stay in room 207, please leave your windows open and look after her with plenty of cat treats and food.

Definitely not a 4 stars! Rooms are not what advertised- smaller, TV didn’t work. Beddings weren’t changed, just towels! They only tidied up the bed- and replaced 2 complimentary bottles of water! Breakfast wasn’t very hot- scrambled eggs were always cold! No fresh juice, coffee from the machine tested awful, but when asked for Turkish coffee- had to pay 100 liras per cup. The staff although in the breakfast area was very helpful,polite and nice, especially Karina! The reception staff gave our room to someone else on our arrival and we had to sleep first night in the room next to reception on the ground floor where no windows with natural light, curtains were falling off and all night you can hear receptionists talking, doors banging etc! Location was ok for the old city, but to get to the tram towards the Sultan Ahmed square we’d to climb very steep street- so for those who have mobility issues is not very helpful!

Me and my family was delighted for having stay in this hotel. It was a great stay. Thanks to Mehmet Ali in the reception for helping us in each and everything like getting taxi, book cruise day tour, shopping recommendation etc. We enjoyed the Turkish Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant too 👌
