Ancient Town Hotel

Let me start by saying that this hotel is a scam.

I would like to address my disappointment with the experience at this hotel. The representations in the provided photos were significantly misleading compared to the actual state of the establishment. Upon arrival, the pervasive uncleanliness was immediately noticeable, detracting from any sense of comfort.

My wife and I intended to stay for two nights but opted to leave after the first night due to several issues. The room was extensively unclean, exhibiting dirt on various surfaces such as the ceiling, bed, walls, mirrors, and floors. Lack of water during our arrival made it impossible to shower or utilize the facilities, posing a significant inconvenience. Furthermore, the bedding provided was insufficient, with a single sheet that did not stay in place, leading to discomfort during the night.

The absence of basic amenities, such as slippers, a refrigerator, or even drinking water in the room, added to the overall dissatisfaction. The promised breakfast, while included, was disappointingly basic, with unclean cutlery and limited options. The attempt to have an omelette resulted in discomfort due to the excessive oil used.

The structural conditions of the building were subpar, characterized by narrowness, unpleasant odors, and the absence of an elevator. Additionally, upon departure, the lack of staff presence at the reception created a situation where we had to leave the keys on the table without any formal acknowledgment.

This experience compelled us to seek alternative accommodation for the subsequent night, adding further frustration to an already unsatisfactory stay.

In an attempt to secure affordable accommodations for an additional two nights, we sought out a budget-friendly hotel with a focus on value for service. Regrettably, our efforts resulted in unexpected increased expenditure. I advise against reserving a room in establishments that enforce a non-refundable policy. This hard-learned lesson underscores the importance of careful consideration when booking accommodations.

Hello everyone, the beautiful pictures of this hotel is a fake, because, the really size is very small, and you'll have a little bathroom without washing machine. So I put only 2 stars, only one plus it's cheap

My family and I stayed here for three nights in September (2022). The only good things about it were that the staff on reception were generally friendly, the wifi connection was speedy, and the rooftop views of Istanbul were lovely. Other than that, it was an utter disaster. The rooms were extremely cramped - one of them had literally no space to even open our one suitcase, and the bathroom was a tiny wetroom (no separate shower cabin). The rooms themselves were dirty, even the towels felt sticky and disgusting to the touch, and the water in the bathroom had very variable pressure (just a trickle of water at the worst of time). Insofar as I could tell, we only got housekeeping on one of the days that we stayed there, and it left the premises even dirtier - there was a dirty cotton bud on the bathroom floor (which didn't come from us), and there were urine stains on our toilet seat (which we did not leave there!). Breakfast was meagre and of very poor quality. Fresh coffee was unavailable, and the soluble coffee on offer looked like it was way beyond its sell-by date. One of the family members I was travelling with had medication that needed to stay refrigerated overnight - there were no minifridges in our room, and our only option was to keep it in the cooler in the breakfast room, which was, I kid you not, an antique piece. Finally, there is no lift in this tiny so-called hotel, and the only staircase is very narrow and quite slippery, so carrying luggage up and down the stairs is a torture. Anyone with mobility issues will not be able to navigate these stairs. This is a place best avoided, unless you need an emergency overnight stay in Istanbul.

Friendly staff, good rooftop view, good location , narrow stairs , old & small rooms, not recommend if you have luggage or with family but if you single then good place for day or two !
