Root Karakoy

Such a shame as I really wanted to like this hotel, but the room we were given on floor 2 was small and dark and nothing like the rooms from the pictures on the booking. We politely asked for a different room - one that was the same as on our booking information but the staff weren't interested in helping. Further, our room lights were broken - we asked if they could be fixed seven times over our 2 day stay and then gave up. The tv wasn't working either - I asked four times if this could be fixed then gave up. Breakfast on the terrace absolutely great and the best thing about the hotel... let down again by having to ask staff several times for basic things like water. The water jug on the table was empty for 2 days - my wife eventually gave up asking and went to the kitchen area and filled it up herself. Location brill, but I'd book somewhere else. Staff do their best but it feels like a bunch of people/kids thrown into a situation of running a hotel with no guidance or management or experience - a real fawlty towers set-up.

Very disappointed!

The location is indeed in the centre of the city which is very nice. HOWEVER:

-The bedroom is extremely small. You don't have space even to put your suitcase. Claustrophobic people will certainly have difficulty.

- Also the bedroom is pretty dark, even in the morning and the bathroom has almost non-existent lighting which makes it extremely difficult to put on makeup.

There are much better options in the neighbourhood with the same budget.

Our first room was very small and someone had obviously smoked cigarettes in the room. When asking the reception for another room because the room smelled like cigarettes, they did not believe us. Only the day after someone else actually listened to us and we got another room. The other room was almost as disappointing. There is no functioning AC, and therefore the rooms were very warm. Opening a window didn’t improve our sleep due to the loud noise from the street. The only positives about the hotel are the breakfast and the location. Otherwise, this hotel is not worth the money

The location of the hotel is really good 💯
But the size of room is white small and the room service for foreigners is quite slow and poor.
The breakfast is the worst thing in this hotel ,
Like you don't have any good choice
Even i asked for hot milk they even don't have that,
Won't recommend anyone for stay
Waste of money.
