Nice and comfortable hotel, close to many places of interest and clubs. Excellent cleaning and really kind and helpful staff. Nice panoramic view from the terrace.

On our first day they gave us a room that reeked of smoke. They sent housekeeping to check it out. He made a big show of sniffing loudly and declaring that he can't smell anything. Then proceeded to spray tons of room freshener, which was not an improvement on the situation. Thankfully they gave us another room the next day, but the bathroom of that room was old. We just lived with it.

The hotel lobby is modern and well designed. Its a cool place to hang. Some rooms are updated some are not. Gym is decent. The restaurant on the 9th floor has great views. The location is great, close to the tram and lots of bars and restaurants

Will Definitely stay at Root Hotel again. The hotel is very central to everything in Istanbul. The rooms were spacious and clean, with crisp bed sheets. The Hotel lobby had a very artsy feel that was not typical of other hotels. The breakfast offered was delicious and perfect to start the day.
Best of all was the staff that were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped us plan our day to venture outside of your typical tourist attractions and experience different neighborhoods.
