Hilton Garden Inn-Buckhead

Being a Hilton rewards member, we have stayed in our share of Hilton hotels, thus has to be the worst Hilton we have ever stayed in. First off the lobby was in the middle of being renovated, they had plastic sheeting up with no signs of which way to go or anything, no mention on the website, or any signage outside warning you. Second, the room we were given had a distinct odor as soon as you opened the door, it smelled like Marijuana, we had to ask for another room. Third, the room we ended up in was quite outdated, the wallpaper was peeling, there were stains on the wall, the bathroom flooring had stains in the corners, there was this weird little shelf above the toilet and all it had on it was 1 roll of toilet paper on it, thr bathroom counter was so small there was no room for my wife to even get ready, and there was a towel rack mounted to the front of the sink. The bed had some kind of frame around the bottom that anytime you sat down on the bed or turned over when lying down it made a noise like a peice if tin getting warped. Fourth, you can hear everything from everywhere, doors slamming, phones ringing, conversations, maintenance outside blowing the parking lot! Fifth, there was a power strip with double sided sticky tape holding it to the wall, also there was a wall socket hanging out of the wall! Then to top it off, there was a $45 charge for valet parking, or $20 for 8 hours to park it yourself! That's a little steep! On the plus side the employees were nice and courteous, from the valet to the concierge. So if you want to charge $200 a night for a room you have alot of work to do, this stay was worth about $ 75, you could get the same kind of room at a motel 6! I think this hotel is way over priced for what you get, i think some kind of credit/refund should be issued as a courteous gesture for the lack of luxury! I expect alot more from a Hilton property in the heart of Buckhead!
