Enjoying La Jolla
We enjoyed staying at the Grande Colonial for 3 nights. Our room was spacious, clean, had water bottles, coffee and complimentary snacks. We had an ocean view room with an actual ocean view. The location was convenient to all of our activities. The valet parking was a big plus as well. The entire staff was extremelly responsive and friendly. We will definitely return.

Booked a room the same day. Was in La Jolla for a wedding and decided to stay the night. So happy I found the Grand Colonial. The beds are so comfy clean and had a beautiful view

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, soft towels. Free snacks in room. Our room faced the main street and was a little noisy especially early in the morning.

Satisfactory and good

This hotel is located right next to Lajolla Cove, but the building facilities are a bit old, and the service of the staff is not good. The check-in time is 4 pm, but there are few people to clean the room. Even if you urge them, they will not be able to finish until after 3 pm. But the check-out time is 11 am. The most important thing is that if you have a large suitcase and are not arranged in the room of the small building below, then the distance to bring the suitcase to the room is very long, and 90% of the steps are stairs, and there is not even a ramp. The hotel has several small buildings, the entrances and exits are not clearly marked, and the rooms are in different directions. With a large suitcase, I was already very uncomfortable before I got to the room, and the girls were even more frustrated. The suite room is quite large and you can cook a simple meal. But the facilities are a bit old, the air conditioning system is very noisy, the sound insulation between the upper and lower floors is poor, and the carpet is dirty. Towels and bedding are not bad (this may be in time for replacement). There is a small swimming pool. Anyway, I don’t require public facilities. The price is between 350 and 550 US dollars, which is not worth it. Anyway, don’t choose it if you have a large suitcase. The wheels hit the steps and one of them is directly broken. There are fewer hotel options on Ctrip in this area, but there are actually many small hotels to choose from. It is recommended to check several websites.
