Milano Hotel

The room was clean, the staff was nice, the location was good, in a nice and quiet area of the city with a very nice park in front of it. However, the mattress was old and broken and it was not comfortable AT ALL to sleep in it; the towels were of very poor quality; the toiletries provided were very basic (included only some very small shampoo envelopes, nothing else), the bed had no quilt although the night when we were there was quite cold; there were two small sheets on the bed for cover, for one small person each, although the bed was a double; there was a small, thin blanket in a closet but nowhere near enough for two people; no elevator, so we needed to carry our suitcases on the stairs; the breakfast had to be chosen from a list of about 6 options and each person could only chose two types of breakfast out of those 6. This seemed quite alright at the beginning but in the morning we were about to realize that both types were very basic and limited. One of the cheese pieces (the spreadable one) on the plate appeared to be quite old and had some mold in one corner. Unfortunately, not the premium type. The orange juice was a very low cost juice (tasted something like vitamin water) which most likely had nothing in common with oranges but the coffee was alright. Not good but quite decent. Our overall experience was, mostly because of the mattress the lack of toiletries and the lack of a quilt or a proper blanket, worth only one star but I am giving two because the staff was nice and in the morning when we asked for an extra omelette, they prepared it on the spot and it was very good!

We are very disappointed with this host and booking. First thing we saw when entering the room were bedbugs.... Many of them. When we asked for the help the lady on reception tried to ensure us that this is OK and it's normal. She also has bedbugs in her apartment and there is nothing to do.
The manager first tried to remove them but after few minutes he decided to say us" good bye" and forced us to cancel the reservation by pointing to the door.
It was 21:00 and we are traveling with 2 kids - 8 and 11 years old.
We found ourselves outside at 21:30 after long driving time. Unacceptable...

P. S. After host's reply, I uploaded images to make it clear what kind of bugs we are talking about, so visitors will have an imagination what to expect.
Regardless the bug name, I expect the 3 stars hotel to have mosquito and bugs window nets and spraying.

Another clarification : the manager left us NO choice but to leave by pointing to the door and stating "you should go away".
