Hotel Deva - All Inclusive

Very bad experience ,end of the stay, the owner objected to an unexpected fine for the confiscated thing(we heard that this is how they try to rob people in Bulgaria )he made it so that if we didn't pay, the police would be called, but he only wanted to deceive us , tried to delay us so that we wouldn't catch our flight. Not to mention that no one spoke English at the hotel, the food was below average and the all inclusive drinks were downright terrible. Never again this hotel !!

I’ve been on holiday with my family. I would say that except for the large rooms, everything else is disappointing. The food is poorly prepared with poor quality products and is repeated every day, mostly fried and for breakfast every day there are fried and boiled eggs! Alcohol is of unclear origin. Internet is only in the lobby, although the offer says that it is also available in the room. The staff speaks mainly in Russian, although we are located in Bulgaria. We left the hotel a day early but they refused to refund me for the parking which is paid in advance. Yes, and one more thing, don't let your children drink the juice from the machine, you risk walking with a stained mouth for several days. Zero entertainment for children and the children's corner quite dangerous!

The receptionists are rude, they won't welcome or smile. Don't even dare to ask if the check-in is available earlier, their answer will be: Read the wall, it says CHECK-IN AT 2 PM!!!. I know that it's completely up to them to check you in or not, but please give me a polite answer, I am your client. The rooms are dirty. We have something spilled on the wall (image attached), and the couch we had in the room had some awful stains (image attached), luckily we found what to cover it with, but this room isn't very pleasing to stay in. If you are looking to drink some cool beverages, good look, all the beverages have 0 taste like being mixed with water (tastes like sink water), an image of a Coca-Cola is attached YEP, THAT'S COCA COLA, its the first time in a hotel we had to buy water from the local store. The food is more often not good than good, I have attached an image of the fries, they just heated up the fries made on the previous meal. Oh, almost forgot, they have a SECURITY GUY that will try to take care of your vacation, will make remarks and he's also very unprofessional and rude since we were a big company, sometimes we wanted to connect 2 tables to make a large one, he came to us and shouted that we need to stop. (I completely understand that it's their right, and I don't have anything against that, but he could at least come and say something like "Excuse me, could you please not move the tables". Also, if you are planning to chill with your family or friends at night, not a chance, the security guy will make everyone go into their rooms at 11:30 PM (like in kindergarten HA HA), never seen that kind of attitude before. Also, he will be rude here too, he just taps on your shoulder and points where to go. In conclusion: The hotel's service is very awful, with zero management ethic and zero care for their customers. Except maybe the people that clean after you at the restaurant, they seem like nice people that will smile at you. I strongly recommend looking better for a hotel and try avoiding Riva.

I don't think we'll go back to this location. Although the reserved apartment was spacious, certain aspects related to its maintenance left much to be desired: broken refrigerator in the room, carpet applied directly over the concrete floor (all the unevenness was felt), dirty, discolored carpet ...
The food is ideal if you want an intensive weight loss diet: the same thing every day, the food not being of quality (cheap salami, cheese with synthetic taste). The snack between lunch and dinner consists of slices of bread with feta cheese (probably left over from breakfast) and garnished with a slice of cucumber or salami ...... If you did not reach the beginning of the meal, you risked being left alone with inedible stuff. The juices were so artificial that I think they would be lit up in the dark. Seriously. All the juices were from concentrates. The coffee was served in disposable glasses from a vending machine. In terms of weak fruit. Only watermelon and melon. At one point I was terrified of meal time so I ate in town.
The pool is not the cleanest. From the balcony we could see our pool and compare it with the pools of neighboring hotels. There is no playground for children - just a swing. I do not recommend ......

Positive aspects:
- free parking space, in front of the hotel or the adjacent parks
- large, spacious rooms
- young staff and English speakers
- There is always someone at the reception, even at night

Negative aspects:
- very poor menu and is repeated daily
- there was not enough food, people were always crowded (for example I served french fries only once in 9 days). Don't expect fish, seafood, salads, cakes .... the only dessert is ice cream and occasionally cookies (don't be fooled by the pictures)
- the snack between lunch and dinner consists of some pseudo-sandwiches made from what was left for breakfast
- the only fruits served at the table were melon, melon and rarely grapes, all hot and raisins (do not expect exotic fruits)
- they were left without napkins at the table for a whole day, there was no plan or intention to remedy
- they were left without coke for two consecutive days
- juices are chemical bombs, made from syrups. There are no natural juices
- Beer and wine are bad, vodka and gin are ok
- There is no evening program at the pool (unlike the neighbors, where the pools are lit and you can swim late)
- payment for your stay is required at check-in (imagine why)
- the refrigerator in our room did not work, some outlets were sparkling, the floor is concrete with carpet directly over
- the coffee is bad, in a dispenser, served in plastic glasses
- the drinks glasses are all made of plastic (don't be fooled by the pictures)
- there is no playground for children (only a swing), but there is a park with a playground nearby
- on busy days wait for a meal to be served to serve food (it happened twice in 9 days)
