Lovely staff especially George the bar man! The rooms and hotel are dated and could use a little love (light bulbs need replacing, mould in the bathroom, cracks in the doors etc). However the hotel was very clean so cannot fault that. Wide variety of food and entertainment every day.

This is a basic hotel, not 4* as in the brochure, which is poorly decorated. It looks as though it had been recently repainted but there were paint splashes all over the doors, floor and safety signs etc. The bar staff were reasonably polite and the pool was nice but there were not enough sun loungers, but the sun was very strong so we wanted to be in the shade anyway. The food was mediocre and basic. The entertainment was plentiful every night but not the best quality. The room was a reasonable design but I didn't like the marble floors which were also in the bathroom which got slippery when wet. The walls were so thin that we could hear the people in the next room which might have been alright if they hadn't carried on past midnight!

I really enjoyed my stay at Avlida hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. The food is outstanding and we had a great variety of fruits, veg and different dishes from around the world. Everything was great. I would like to specially thank George at the bar for his lovely cocktails and looking after us during this trip.

The hotel is quite tired, it would have been glorious in the early 2000s. But it is clean and there is a lovely swimming pool.
It is a great location and near to the beach.
The staff are lovely here. It is a great place for families as the team are very cute and friendly with little ones. They are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
There is a good selection of food at each meal time - a nice selection of salads and vegetable options.

Chet is a legend. He went out of his way to remember what drinks we order. When he sees us coming towards the bar, he has the drinks ready. He always had a smile on his face and was really nice.
Entertainment team was fantastic. Rooms were clean and always taken care of. Always a different selection of delicious food in the restaurant. Maintenance staff are constantly working and everyone went out of their way to make it a pleasurable experience. Would highly recommend.

During my stay I decided to go for the all inclusive deal, wise decision. Trust me you will not get hungry food available throughout the day they really put out a great spread . I should mention the lamb cook to perfection huge selection to choose from every day. All the staff are really friendly and helpful could not fault anything got to know the bar staff really well as you can imagine ! Great location short walk to beach and evenings entertainment should not be missed they cater for all ages.

Never wanted to leave a hotel more badly in my life. Was there for work so unfortunately I couldn’t. Don’t come if you want a good nights sleep- walls are paper thin, no ac so you have to open the balcony door which has no screen so then you get to deal with mosquitoes and the sound of Early morning construction. Curtains only block about 50% of the light. Looks nothing like the photos. Super outdated. For an “all-inclusive” there were in fact many things not included. Only one place to get drinks and switches depending on time of day so if you’re in your room or lobby and want water in the morning tough luck you have to walk to the pool bar to get anything to drink. No toilet outside, so if you’re at the pool you have to walk all the way around past the lobby to find one. In addition to their food being disgusting I got food poisoning. Cleanliness standards 👎🏻 I’ve stayed at infinitely better hotels for the same price.

The hotel is in a prime position on a main road. Service was unbeatable and the buffet breakfast was really well done. The hot pancakes were my favourite. The staff were all very polite and served us well.

4 Star! Maybe, but don’t expect a UK level 4 star, it would be a 3 on a good day.
We arrived after dinner had finished so the friendly reception staff gave us some sandwiches and juice cartons, which I presume was the left overs from the all inclusive lunch. As much as the gesture was appreciated, the insight it gave me to the food to come did not get my stomach rumbling with anticipation.
The room was pleasant enough, we opted for a pool view, and I would recommend if you plan to look out the window. The welcoming committee wasn’t necessary though (cockroach x2). We had a walk around and a look at the pool, heading towards the entertainment area it all went dark (pool table etc) and a guy appeared saying it was closing up, fair enough at 11pm. Although in reality the pool and entertainment areas close at 6pm which is way too early.
All meals are pretty limited in choice and honestly if we were to go again (we wouldn’t) it would be b&b. It’s the first time I’ve been to a hotel that does not allow drinks with meals to be included for half board, and to be made to sit in another section of the restaurant. Kids entertainment is ok for probably up to 5yr olds. The reception area has a water leak problem so buckets were always dotted around the floor, considering it’s not a particularly wet country I’d guess it’s a more serious problem than a leaky roof.
The hotel is within walking distance of enough sights for a few days, and a taxi to the harbour area is about €10
Overall it’s a nicely placed hotel, limited facilities, but don’t expect greatness from those facilities.

Definitely not sure how this place is a 4 star as the Hotel is very outdated and probably the most outdated hotel I’ve ever been to.
Rooms were decent but 100% not 4 star quality as there was a lot that was half developed.
Location was decent, lots of local shops, King of Tombs is near and a huge shopping mall. Beaches are near too, all walkable distance and very quick in the car too.
Don’t think our room bedsheets were changed at all and we was there for a week :( They just tidied the bed. Don’t think the room floor was cleaned regularly either even tho there was cleaning staff working everyday. Shampoo etc was replaced regularly.
I would rate this place a 2-3 star, even the entertainment was not that exciting and I’ve been to 3 star hotels with a much more updated look, service and entertainment. The photography done for this place is amazing because it had us fooled.
