Melia Berlin

Superb location for exploring Berlin. Spacious rooms and friendly service. An excellent range of breakfast items - anything you can think of is there!

We stayed here three night and by far its best quality was its location. Just a small walk to the metro or a number of tourist attractions. We walked to the Brandenburg gate, the Berlin Wall, and a ton of museums. It seemed like it was a 20 minute walk wherever you want to go. The rooms were definitely nice and the bed was huge. The mini bar is not good if that’s your thing. There were definitely people smoking on our floor so not sure if there are smoking floors (we were on 3). The room was spacious and had plenty of closet and bathroom space though the shower only has a half door so I was afraid of spraying water everywhere. The biggest problem is I’m allergic to something in the room, maybe feathers in the comforter maybe something in the shower gel but I came away with quite the rash. Kinda sucks but it’s not their fault - I believe it’s the feathers so if you are allergic see if you can get a down alternative (I could not). Checking in was a little painful but checking out was easy. They have a lounge on 7 called the level but you have to upgrade your room to get it. Your room key card will say Level on it if you have access. Anyway, but for the rash I’d stay there again despite its expense.

I spent only one night in this hotel) too bad) Large apartments, clean, nice... But the most noteworthy thing is the super nice and helpful staff. They always talked, tried to help in every small matter - I wish every hotel had such employees. I only hope that one day I will go to Berlin and only to this hotel :) Thank you.

Perfectly positioned adjacent to railway station to explore Berlin and 30 minutes train to airport. Level 7 is worth paying for as private area for breakfast and open all day for food / drinks until 10pm. All staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great staff, great location, great room great hotel.
Staff were also of great assistance when we had to stay an extra four nights unexpectedly, this was due to strike action being carried out by airport security personnel in Germany, they even facilitated remaining in our original rooms which alleviated a great deal of stress.
We did however get charged double for the additional stay mistakenly which took a over a day to rectify causing additional unnecessary stress. More attention does need to be paid to the service of the rooms, I did have a minor surprise when I found a cleaning cloth in the bathroom left behind by housekeeping and the coffee stand had not been replenished.
