Hotel Altschwabing
Munchen, Siegfriedstraße 9 🧭 Map
Exceptional down town hotel. Great for visiting friends in Munich and very close to the next subway station.
Great location. Clean rooms. Not really a hotel but more building with rooms. No in room tea, coffee, or soap. Ps I’m sick of demand driven customer gouging !!
Great location and spacious rooms. Good for kids.
Friendly people, nice place to stay - price quality wise
Great location, close to English garden and many nice restaurants and bars. Nice rooms and a great service!!!!

Landgasthof Deutsche Eiche Hotel
Munchen, Ranertstraße 1 🧭 Map
We can only say great things about Deutsche Eiche! I am American and my husband is German. We have been coming to this restaurant for about 6 or 7 years and really love it. The food and service are excellent! They have a lovely interior and also a beautiful outside garden with outside seating. We highly recommend!
Fairytale! Old and beautiful, great food and service !
Beautiful beer garden, plenty of food to select and variety of drinks. If you have kids, even better as they have jumping castle and play area for kids. There are usually lot of people and you might have to book the place in advance, and for food, you too have to wait a bit longer. Beautiful trees and flowers help to be patient.
Beautiful traditional german hotel.
Welcoming environment and very kind staff.
The restaurant is one of the best in the neighborhood
Very good food. Traditional German. Nice atmosphere. Nice biergarten. Play area for kids outside and inside.
Had a 1 overnight stay for business purposes. Location is far away from city centre which will cost you around €40 by taxi to get there. On my case, it was conveniently located & close to my business destination, within 5 minutes drive.
The staff is very polite & you have the "from home to home" feeling. Bavarian themed throughout, from decor to staff dress. Brilliant!
Very nice restaurant/bar also...

Hotel Monaco

Very nice place. When you get there, dont let the entrance fool you. The staff is great and this is as close as you you will get to a bed and breakfast in downtown Munich. Highly recommended.
Located in a noisy street. But an amazing staff, clean rooms and a breakfast prepared with much love. Only walking distance to the city center and the main station.
Very very lovely place. Staffs are very kind and friendly. Room is clean but I can hear some noise from outside. Breakfast is great!!. Love ^^
My mom and I stayed at Hotel Monaco last week and were blown away by how much this hotel felt like home. From the incredibly friendly and hospitable staff, to the adorable decor in each guest room we loved our stay from start to finish!
Pros: nice staff, close to train station, the room itself was fine Cons: not the best part of town (read: noisy all night outside), shower changed temperature constantly, spotty wifi connectivity/speed For the price we paid, I wouldn't say it was worth it. During our trip we went to multiple hotels with better quality and similar pricing.
Super clean. Very very convenient location. Extremely nice people. The breakfast was awesome. I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Lux

Hotel lux was amazing. The rooms are so comfortable and the breakfast is out of the world. The reception was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The employees made the difference for my group and me. Leonie, the hotel manager accommodated my many and changing requests. Maia, the morning manager handled breakfast and answered our questions about everything. The hotel's location couldn't be better. In total. An excellent stay!
Amazing cute cocktail spot in the heart of Munich. From the states and have had ALOT of yummy cocktails- these bartenders at awesome. Friendly and delicious drinks. Just go- thank me later
Top notch customer service. Close to public transportation. If you go to sleep at 10 like me, you will probably need the ear plugs conveniently left for you next to the bed. Also, there is no elevator, so don't book this hotel if you can't do stairs.
A cozy place, in summer they have tables outside. The gin muller is the best. It is a little expensive if you are student of course. But it is worth it to go.
Review for Hotel Lux bar / restaurant: A favorite stop for cocktails in a cool small bar with great low lighting and a 20s-30s vibe. Lots of cozy, romantic tables for two, attentive staff, great cocktails, and a good menu. Perfect for a date night stop in the center of the city.

very friendly welcome from the host. a nice room and the hotel is well situated
thanks
We arrived from the airport to the hotel and found no one to open the entrance to the hotel. They do not have a reception. We stood for half an hour outside until someone came out.
But the rest is all right, breakfast included and comfortable and clean room.
Good traditional German restaurant with typical German food to fair prices.
It is also possible to sit outside.
Excellent food. Great dessert menu. Exceptional service. English menus.
Great ribs o meter but the service received from the waitresses is poor.
Beds and rooms generally could be improved

Location of the hotel is amazing. You get a chance to stay right in the center of the city, with a lot of good "non-touristic" restaurants nearby. Atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Rooms are quite big and clean. Breakfast has everything you might want. The owner is very attentive and caring. I would highly recommend to stay in this hotel for both work and leisure trips. Thanks a lot for such an...
location is very good, a lot of Cafés, restaurants and small pubs are nearby.
The room was nice, bed clean and mattress ok. The sideboard needed to be cleaned inside. bathroom quite new and modern, but a little dirty. The mirror was not clean, the wall next to the sink had small dirt stains. Breakfast had a good variety, coffee tasty. Staff in the breakfast room and at the reception was very friendly...
Small, quiet hotel only 15 minutes walk to Marienplatz and 5 minutes walk to U-Bahn.
Scarce service and slightly dirty rooms. Location is excellent
The location is great, around 20min walking from the Central Station or like 7min in the tram. The place is a little bit old but it’s pretty. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was really good with a good selection of breads and cheese. If I return to Munich I will totally book it again.
Great location and very friendly staff. One of the better breakfast spreads we had in Europe. They even held onto our luggage after we checked out so we could explore before our night train

Very nice, modern and clean apartments very close to public transportation to downtown Munich. Shops and Restaurants nearby.
The room was really nice, and it's very conveniently close to the train station. With the room came a lot of utilities in case you want to cook food yourself etc. Tho supermarkets are quite scarce in Munich... The area has nothing of interest, other than a bakery. Stayed in June, and it was quite hot - unfortunately the room had no AC. Idk if other rooms has it.

Perfectly accommodating if you need clean, safe, and quaint. Nice cafe. Lovely library with tea to read while waiting for the train. One entrance is 100 meters away. I would stay here again.
Very nice cosy hotel, totally renovated, it was a good surprise!
Bed are comfortable, I had a very big TV that had the size of my double bed. We have the choice between 2 pillows, you can find as well hairdryer, chocolates, and a fresh rose.
I gave only 4* because the breakfast could be a bit better. But on overall the price is very good for this accommodation.
Cute hotel. Basic, clean and lovely. Could have air conditioning.

The stay was very comfortable. Public transport accessibility is very good. The only problem I had was with WiFi. The connectivity was very unstable.
A pretty bad experience oveall but mostly because of the lack of soundproofing of the doors. The rooms are ok, with decent space, and a TV; also there is a car parking just outside. We stayed in the executive apartment on the ground floor with another 2 couples and their kids who were staying in the standard room. The rooms were clean and spacious. Stayed three nights here over Easter and was hugely impressed with the apartment. Maybe we had a special room or some major renovations happened recently but the standard in the room was really high
From RC Velux blinds to under floor Heating and super modern roomy bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. This place was a gem and will definitely go again
It is a small apartment. Clean, enough storage space, a safe and comfy bed. I like the kitchen, it could be a bit bigger though. The TV has no HDMI ports and is quite small. The building has one WiFi connection and when I checked in on Monday the internet was great, but the following days it was very spotty and it was hard to work with. Tried also to stream some Netflix and it always stopped after...
Roomy, clean, modern, and well-appointed apartments. Even though off-site, the staff is very attentive and friendly. Cheap place close to the Autobahn and with plenty of gas stations and kebab/pizza places in the vicinity. The other guests were a bit noicy, but it was at the oktoberfest.
The people running it were nice and the serve not so fancy, but really good breakfast.

Modern hotel with good AC next to the Deutsches Museum and also walking distance to Marienplatz and some good restaurants. Close to the Roseinheimer Platz train station with regular access to the airport. Solid choice.
Nice place to stay. Aircon is set at a specific temperature and you can't adjust it so if you've been walking around for a while and want to cool off, you can't drop the temperature in your room. The whole place feels a little bit too warm until after a while you get used to it

Our recent stay at Brera Serviced Apartment was truly a five-star experience. The self-checking and making your own room card was a nice new experience.
The room was impeccably clean, and offered a stunning city view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
The hotel's amenities were equally impressive.
The Serviced Apartment is a true gem, and I highly recommend it...
The room is quite spacious. Although there is no air conditioning, there is heating and electric fans. The location is near the park and the environment is quite quiet. However, there is no subway station, so you need to take the bus to go out. There are also few restaurant options nearby.
Place is ok but overpriced, too far from the town centre.1 hour walk. There are trans right outside but you have to swap off after few stations. Nothing direct. Protperty itself was ok selfserve and checkout so no intraction.
There was no AC and it was very loud with the windows open. There was a fan in the room but it was too loud to use. Check-in is automated so there was never anyone on reception for things like extra toilet paper, etc.
We stayed here for 5 nights. The location is good. There’s a very handy supermarket and bakery next door and bus and tram stops very close by.
The apartment was very clean and well maintained with a tiny kitchen area and a small amount of kitchen utensils.

I like the location of the hotel the most. The room was very clean and warm. The stuff were very polite and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent. I will be back again if I have a chance
Lovely Clean Hotel, with basic services at reach. Close by many attractions & near major Bus/Tram station. Reception staff are friendly with tips on surrounding area. I've enjoys walks in neighborhood.
We came in late June and really appreciated the service while we were there. Check-in was very helpful sharing additional information and maps of the city. The staff at breakfast the next day were mindful if the line to the buffet area had more than 4 or 5 people. They would check and see if anyone needed a quick item they could get for us, like tea, coffee or sugar so we wouldn't have to wait....
Outstanding breakfast included with the room- this is probably the standout feature for me.
Room itself comfortable enough. Like most hotels it doesn't have AC- but there were windows to open and a stand fan available.
Location is very convenient for walking, with Sendlinger Tor stop nearby.
Staff are friendly and helpful- very good English skills.
I stayed at an apartment for 10 nights. The stay was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room clean and tidy, if a tad too compact. Hubby and I stayed for a week. The apartment was roomy with a street view, we were not bothered with street noise in this friendly area. We did take the rubber mattress protector off, as it was cooking us! Though easy access to the cool beers in the vending machines was a real bonus! Also easy access to the external stairs for a ciggy whilst watching abundant wildlife (lots of birds, red squirrel)...
The room was big and the kitchen is nice to have. Check in done with a machine and was easy to figure out.
We had a balcony that was accessible by exterior staircase that led to the street. So any creeper could access our balcony in the middle of the night if they wanted to,
The street parking situation was not awesome.
The double room that I booked was pretty clean. Just a little bit of dust here and there. It was warm, there were clean towels, lots of toilet paper, shampoo and shower gel, the plates and kitchen were clean as well. The beds could be a bit more comfortable, but for the price they were acceptable. I recommend this place if you plan to stay one night. If it's more than that, then maybe you'll want to...
Nice and clean apartments. Cool and good.
Clean bathroom. Bed was a bit less than may be expected in this price range.
They boast only non-smoking rooms, but some guests clearly ignore this rule, or are happy to just pay the extra cleaning fee. Don't be fooled by the designation as "serviced apartments"; they are hotel rooms with a 1 sq m kitchenette with mini fridge, range, and sink, at the cost of shrinking the bathroom and not having daily cleaning or many hotel amenities. Avoid street parking, underground garage...
Clean, did the no. Nice and easy to get into centre. Though was advertised as full kitchen, only two jobs and microwave, would have hoped for a little oven. Also the safe was broken for duration of stay and wasn't fixed so we had to keep our things out of it, not too much of a problem though

Excellent simple room with a balcony and kitchenette, very close to metro (U-Bahn) and walking distance to S-Bahn. The nice Ostpark is nearby for a walk by the lake. Shops and supermarkets in the quiet and safe neighbourhood. I like that they clean only every other day. I’ve stayed multiple times already. My only not so positive comment is that the wifi quality could be improved.
Stayed here during Scotland's time in Munich at Euro 2024. The hotel was clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. Location is good with the underground nearby and also shops and cafes adjacent. I would certainly return if back in Munich.
The location is pretty good. I booked a newly renovated room and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances. But the toilet seat in the bathroom is a little smaller for some reason? The room was heated but was covered by curtains so it was a bit cold.
From the airport, you have two ways to get to the hotel.
Plan A : Take S8 to Ostbahnhof. Take U5 and get off at Innsbruck Ring. Change trains to U2 and get off at Josefsburg. Take the elevator on your right to the ground. Walk to the right and you can see the hotel on your left.
Plan B : Take S8 to Ostbahnhof. Take tram 21 and get off at the stop(see pictures below). Walk to the church and you can...
Hotel a little far from the center, but it allows you to be more relaxed. It may not attract much attention from the outside, but the rooms and services are 10/10. Large rooms, comfortable and warm. Very good lunch and very attentive staff.
Nice quiet neighborhood. There are the church bells. They ring the number of the hour and 1 ring on the half hour. There is a small market store and a couple of restaurants within a blk of the hotel in different directions. It's about a 2 blk walk to the train. My room looked like it had been recently renovated. Nice basic hotel. Room was clean and cozy, and the location was great - around 15 minutes from the city center.
Guys at lobby were very friendly
I would say the only disadvantage was poor sound insulation between floors - you could hear people walking upstairs.
Also, there is no kettle and fridge in the room. But you can get hot water from lobby
We were pretty satisfied with our room and felt it was well appointed for the price. We got the twin bed room and felt it was pretty spacious with lots of room for our things.
