Rented because their prices are reasonable (12 day stay) and location is very good with supermarket, restaurants, and subway access all within 3 minute walks. Beds and layout of rooms are quality, but the bathroom could use updating. Have to say they have a great little perk of giving 2 bottles of beer & water every day (if you drink them), and the staff was very friendly. Also have a laundry facility, but you have to sign up for an App to use it which is a bit of a pain. Is right on the S1 subway line, so you can get to any part of the city easily.

This review is from December 2024 as we were here for one night to see the Christmas markets. It was excellent. Started off with amazing help, direction, and even a cookie from the front staff. Our room was more than we needed with a small kitchenette that we used the following morning. We happened to find parking on the street but at €12.50ish for underground parking, we were just about to go for it until the staff recommended we save our money. We really appreciated the honesty. Bed was comfy and the balcony was nice! Thank you!!

Location is okay, 1 mile away from the old town. Reception and staff are great. Rooms clean and very nice.

The overall experience was good. The breakfast buffet is good but expensive. The staff needs some training as many are new and unsure how to accommodate requests. On our previous stay our dog was welcome at breakfast but this time we were told that dogs are not allowed anymore. The rooms are very basic and only a few have air condition which makes for an extremely hot room in summer. You can tell that everything was done the cheapest way possible including the utensils in the kitchen. A little bit of nice decor would go a long way.

Location is decent, they offer 24/7 reception and parking 12.5 euros per day which is right under the hotel which is nice. However we found our stay during september when it was only 17 degrees outside unbearable. Rooms don't ventilate properly and at night it gets unbearable warm. Unless you upgrade to different rooms for 150 euros or more they don't offer other solutions or fans. Wouldn't recommend staying here unless you stay during colder periods of the year in my opinion.

I made a reservation to Living Hotel Nürnberg. After the significant rise of COVID-19 cases in the area, I communicated with them 1 week before my booked date & asked if they would offer a partial compensation as I would cancel my trip due to health concerns. They denied any compensation. Just after the reserved date the hotel cancelled my reservation on Booking although I have paid the whole amount! The reason for that was clearly so that I will not be able to review my experience. Such a cheap behaviour for a 200€ reservation.
The hotel says I should have paid a "cancellation at any time" rate which was extremely overpriced and since there were no lockdown concerns when I made the booking I didn't choose, but they will not respond why they cancelled my Booking reservation while charging the full amount. They should be ashamed for trying to make full profit without offering any service, yet they pretend to be "fair".

For the money we paid I was highly disappointed. The room really stinks. 435 is worse than 436. The lighting is terrible in my room. Very dim lights. The rooms need a full renovation.
The service and the employees are great. The rooms we were in just need to be ripped out and renovated.

I love the place, I love the people. I was staying there a total of 6 months over the last 2 years. Enjoyed every moment. And they server some good dishes!
