Hotels with aquapark in Puerto Plata

To start with, this was my first Caribbean resort stay, with an all inclusive option. Overall the experience was good. The food was decent, the pools were great, and the activities on the resort were fun

The shower was large, and the balcony overlooked one of the pools. The bed was comfy, there was water, beer, and soda in the fridge that was stocked daily. Pretty standard stuff for a decent hotel

There were outdoor showers at every pool and the beach entrances though, so you could always rinse off before going back to your room. The buffet we used, Casa Blanca, was great

Weirdly the safe in the room was extra, if you wanted to use it. My only complaint about the room was the water in the shower

Hot water didn't work all the time, and occasionally the water pressure would drop to a trickle

This is our second visit in 7 years. I most say it hasn't changed much, but why would they if it woks🤣, the only complaint I have is that my bathroom had a bit of a mold but overall a pretty clean place

I had a beautiful experience here when I came with my wife and her mom. Its a small family owned, their customer service here is excellent!!!!

The staff was super friendly. The room size was perfect with a lot of space.

I enjoyed my stayed especially the beach so relaxing. Entertainment is on point great job to the staff. also have acess to other resort for coffee, icecream, pizza, pool and beach etc

The beach was very rocky and the shore had a lot of seaweed. The evening ambience was very nice with music and performance to keep you occupied through the night

The waiters are very high energy and happy! Only complaint is we couldn't get into to the a la cartes because you need to book at 7am! Who gets up at ham on vacation??

I like the food it was very good and the stiff was very nice and the room was very big and clean and good music

The property was nice but the rooms have not been updated in a while. The hotel seems to cater towards a more european tourist base as the rooms have european outlets rather than the standard voltage of 110-120V

The room turned out to be small. I booked a room for an adult, two teenagers, and a child, and they gave me a room with only one bed. It was really a bit uncomfortable to have all four of us sleep in one bed.

Entertainment was new everyday even the outside games were different lot of nice people

Overall it was great, but at some point the AC in my room did break

Asides from the the service from everyone was impeccable our roomkeeper Maritza was phenomenal and very attentive to us!! Gracias Maritza! Do not buy your souvenirs at the hotel i bought 6 bracelets that totaled to 2500 DOP which is equivalent to around 40 bucks

Older looking rooms but very clean and air-conditioning excellent. The resort had delicious buffet, snack bars and restaurants

not worth it go into the city for souvenirs

Place has a very amazing view between beach and mountains, mattresses are a little to hard, all the employees were very nice and helpful, pool is big and well maintained, my boyfriend only had an issue with a cleaning lady that she wouldn’t let him go in the bathroom without a towel just because he was wet

The customer service was above and beyond from all the staff, from the breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, cleaning, they were all brilliant, absolutely amazing! I can't say how beautiful they made our holiday, they strive to help every day, they are all so friendly and welcoming and they all go over and beyond to make your stay that extra bit more magical

Great HIIT gym class with Bryan. It's nice to have gym classes offered on vacation. The food selection and quality are also great. The staff is friendly and helpful

We enjoyed the amenities, food, service, and overall experience. They have everything you would want. We also love their commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment. Definitely check out the orchid garden

We came here as a cruise excursion the food was great and the service is great. Our new friend Road Runner was amazing and very friendly

At least 2 bar tenders are needed at each bar. The pool is deeper than normal, which is great. The pool needs more chemicals and cleaning to keep it clear and from going green

Definitely made my experience here 100 times better! He’s super funny all around great guy! We will definitely be coming back as a whole separate vacation

Drinks were plentiful and delicious. The main pool was busy, but we found the quiet pool over by the Italian restaurant where there also was another complex of rooms

Lot of activities- you just need to book it in advance and ask for it. Cons: Average food and subpar drink, limited food options, small pool, their obsession above beach towels inventory, small resort, smaller rooms

As far as the entertainment goes it's OK but the animation staffed could be more engaging with families instead of single ladies. I recommend bringing your own pool balls for the kids as they don't have any

So I kinda don't want this little jewel to be known to everyone but I will share this is now our favorite mini getaway. If you need some rest and relaxation this is your place to reset

The rooms are above average clean and comfortable. The food is good- award winning Chef on board. Mostly the staff are all amazing, genuinely friendly kind hearts 💕

Jacqueline who does the excursion is wonderful. So many options and things to do. The food was good, you just have to make sure you make reservations in advance for the restaurants or you'll be at the buffet

We never made a reservations ( which have to be made at the lobby between 9&11am) soo many pool including some adults only pool which was nice

We had a great time here! Ok, admittedly the sales pitch was annoying. But after those 90 minutes, we had great service, good food, so much fun on the beach and pools!

The resort is part of a group of resort which you have access too, you can walk but there a shuttle which comes around in 15 min intervals

The resort itself for the price was great IMO but they didn't clean our rooms for 2 day. Food was honestly 7/10 at the buffets

This resort is truly beautiful, and we had a great time, but if you are not a member you will definitely feel it

Be prepared to be asked about the spa 10x a day ( they're at least nice and polite about it)

Great part of the hotel. Nice employee and great atmosphere. Calm and relaxing holiday you will have for sure. And if you like business and entertainment you walk 2 min to the other pool and you can enjoy that

Checked in to The Grand Paradise on Saturday and I absolutely love it here. It is beyond beautiful and the service at Cooee is amazing. Everyone here really goes the extra mile to make you happy, I never want leave.

Can recommend the upgrade to cooee as it gives your stay besides an exclusive touch, access to vip area, a frequently changing snack bar as well as table service

Amazing Hotel, very clean, good drinks and chilled atmosphere

The food is delicious, the rooms are very nice and confortable, the beach and the pool are beautiful, as well as the landscape towards the beach

I stayed here for 3 days in April 2018. The reviews about disrepair are accurate and some of the food is just average. That said, the staff was perfectly polite and helpful. Despite the disrepair, the place is immaculate

The buffets are a solid B+ if you pick the right things (target made-to-order stuff). One of the groundskeepers gave me a coconut today after he cut it from a tree

At 55$ a night, this place was an UNBELIEVABLE deal and I do not understand the venom in some of these negative reviews

While writing this review, some random elderly man walked into the lobby piano and started playing concert-quality

The staff and the service are great and the night presentations are really interesting. I strongly recommend this place to relax on vacation as you feel home

Do recommend bringing beach towels, only one supplied in room and no where to exchange it or get a second if there is more then one guest in the room

The staff were very nice specially Fernando one of the bar tenders. The entertainment people are excellent people. The rooms are not in good condition. The pool hours need to be longer since there’s only adults

Food is amazing different taste of every country, free restaurants with reservations, china food, Italia and seafood. Security guards everywhere as well cameras. Comfortable rooms with fridges rechargeable

i had such a great experience staying at viva heavens this july. this is more of a family friendly resort. it has a great view from the beach & clean. lots of day and night entertainment

extremely sweet, friendly & accommodating staff. especially the bartenders & the viva vibe boys! food was great & filling especially as me being a vegetarian. drinks were always appreciated & well made

I just arrived today, and even though I haven't been here 24hrs yet I have already eaten lunch with room service and the meal was warm when it arrived and yummy

the resort is so relaxing yet also has a lot to do. it is very safe with very helpful & caring people

The staff are friendly , and approachable. Everything is all inclusive, which is a plus. But the drinks tend to be watered down a bit, and cheap alcohol is used

Could use some maintenance and fumigation. The rooms are filled with ants, and there are holes in the walls made by diffrent animals. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and maintained well

The food was mediocre at the buffets and the wait times to get someone to help you was at times, too long. The dinners and the pools available were the highlights for sure

The pool area was nice and being an adults only resort it was quiet and serene. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or they have a shuttle take you there. They have breakfast lunch and dinner which is included

The guy at the front desk upgraded our room for free with a king size bed. Shower above us leaked, flooded our bathroom and wet my clothes

The lady who is now at the front desk downgraded us “because that’s what you paid for”. The balcony lock is broken in our new room so we can’t go outside but I can see how nice it is from the window

There is NO entertainment (or animation staff that I’ve noticed doing activities) so choose your company wisely as your travel partner IS your entertainment. Thanfully I have an awesome man that makes everything fun

My sunglasses broke- not the hotel’s fault but a theme is forming. Our first meal was great, Thank God, and most of the staff is friendly (except lady at front desk, very cold woman)🤨 7

Beautiful tropical views. Did not play the course or stay at the villas, but rode horses near the Playa Dorada property and on the beach. Fun times! Playing 18? Maybe next time.

Nice but need updating. Bar tenders overwhelmed with very small crowd. Main pool bar thatch roof is ugly with large holes (Gran Ventana Resort).

I stayed at this resort with my family for 2 nights and 3 days. And they had great activities for the morning and the night for both the kids and the adults. They have aerobics and great food at almost every hour

The night security guard even got cushions for us so we could stargaze in comfort! It was a wonderful visit for me and my elderly parents. Thank you! We will be back!!

Would go back for quiet vacation spot. Clean well appointed rooms, friendly staff. Don’t know enough about what else to do around town but for a quiet, affordable, warm climate getaway it’s a sleeper in my book
