Dreams Royal Beach Hotel in Punta Cana

We had an unforgettable stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana in December 2025, and it truly exceeded all expectations. We booked the Preferred Club side, which has been recently renovated, and the rooms were absolutely beautiful — some of the nicest we’ve experienced in the Caribbean. We’ve stayed at Finest Punta Cana before, and honestly, Dreams Royal Beach offered comparable luxury with even better overall value.

The food was great, the atmosphere relaxed, and the staff went above and beyond. A special mention to Wilkin, who served us by the pool all week. He somehow appeared the moment our glasses were empty — always smiling, attentive, and genuinely kind. Service like that really makes a difference.

And of course, our VIP concierge Marcelo was fantastic. He was always just a quick message away. He handled every request with speed, kindness, and attention to detail, making what’s usually the “administrative side” of vacation feel effortless.

After a disappointing stay at Lopesan Punta Cana last year, where service was cold and disorganized, we were hesitant to return to the Dominican Republic. But I’m happy to say that Dreams Royal Beach completely restored our faith. We’ll gladly come back and will be booking with Hyatt beach resorts in the Dominican Republic moving forward!

We had such an amazing vacation at Dreams Royal Beach. The staff are wonderful. There are so many staff that are always happy to help. We were very spoiled by the kindness, friendliness, and willingness of the staff to help with any need. I've never been anywhere with such great staff. Another great feature of this hotel is the location. The beach is gorgeous and quiet. I've read many reviews where the beach was loud, and patrons were constantly being solicited by vendors. That was not the case on this beach. It is very quiet and there were almost no vendors and they left us alone. The beach was wonderful. The pools are also beautiful and quiet. We have three children ages 19, 21 and 23. We were looking for somewhere that wasn't a party scene but would be enjoyable for our family. This place fit the bill perfectly. We also saw lots of animals in the mangrove which was fun to observe and photograph. The restaurants were also very nice. If you have food allergies, they do a great job at the restaurants helping you make good food choices. I would say, however, that the buffet isn't quite as well marked. There are tons of places were you can get desserts, pastries, ice cream, etc at all hours of the day. If you're both gluten free and dairy free, there aren't a ton of desserts for you, but I was okay with the options.

We had such a great experience. Everything was clean, quiet, and well cared for. No surprises. Quick check in, quick check out. Couldn't have had a better experience. So happy with our choice to stay at Dreams Royal Beach.

Just came back from a week at Dreams Royal Punta Cana. The resort is beautiful, the grounds are so clean and every washroom is spotless. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious, the buffet has lots to choose from. The people are so friendly and polite. The nightly entertainment is great every show was awsome. My favourite was Retro night. Baby Face does a great job. I will be telling my friends about this resort and I will definitely be back. Thanks Dreams for a great weeks vacation. The beach is amazing you can walk forever.

My family and I enjoyed a lovely and relaxing stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana. During our stay, we were a part of the Preferred Club. The resort is surrounded by luscious greenery around and throughout which is thoroughly maintained by the garden staff. Our rooms were clean and spacious upon arrival and continued to be during our stay with daily house keeping and nightly turn down service. Our room was located in the Preferred Club section which was tranquil, surrounded by pools and greenery. Preferred offered an easy check in process with cold towels and drinks upon arrival, bell hop service to the room, and personal concierge to give us a tour around. There was easy connection from the preferred section to the main resort by either golf carts, or walking the bridge through the mangrove which had beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Overall, the food experience at Dreams was good, but did not surpass expectations. I have to clarify that my family and I are more of a foodie family. We did enjoy the fresh fruit and breakfast options each morning. We met Alfredo, a waiter at Market Cafe, who treated our family with great kindness, attentiveness, and made us feel at home. Alfredo helped to create a special birthday breakfast for one of our members that we won’t forget. Lunch variation was a little limited. Dinners were a little bit of a hit or miss. However, on our last evening, Billy, our concierge, went above and beyond for us and worked with the chef at Fusion so that we could enjoy a spread of traditional Dominican plates. The dishes were incredible and we were so grateful to have had experienced this while in the Dominican Republic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our service at the Blue Dorado swim bar during the day where we were greeted each morning by Nahum and David. Nahum and David exceeded expectations as bartenders and servers and treated my family with great kindness and exceptional service! We also met Estarlin at Blue Dorado who oversaw some of the bartenders, including Brandol, and waiters and even though he wasn’t serving us, he still treated us with great kindness. We loved getting to know each of them. The interlude bar in the evening provided nice service before dinner or during a show. We also enjoyed various coffee drinks and treats at Coco Cafe. In the afternoon, we were always greeted and welcomed by Anyelina who took time and care to remember our drink order, and even had a chai latte prepared as we walked up one afternoon. Additionally, Freimy, a part of pool and beach concierge, took time to get to know my family and I, even providing us with popsicle treats even though we weren’t on the beach at the time.

The entertainment shows each night could have had a bit more variety. For the 5 nights of our stay, it had happened that 3-4 nights were rock themed. After each nightly show there was live music with dancing in the plaza area lead by the entertainment team, namely Jonathan and Tarzan were great members getting people up to dance and leading them in bachata, merengue, and salsa. We personally didn’t partake in too many activities throughout the day, but there were plenty of options and activities to be involved in.

Overall, our stay was great and undoubtedly enhanced by the staff members we met along the way. Billy, our personal concierge, treated my family like we were part of his own and exceeded our expectations. Without him, our stay wouldn’t have been as amazing as it was.

We came here in October for a wedding, the staff are absolutely amazing! Dolores, Lucia, and Jose C (concierge) were absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful. Food is good, not great but definitely can find something to eat at all the restaurants. I do wish the kids menu was a bit larger. We went to the buffet every day for my toddler to have a variety of choices. The building we were in had beautiful rooms, there was some damage to the roof of the walkway (we were on floor 3 of building 4) that was being worked on our first day, but none of the rest of the time we were there. The staff is incredible! We truly loved them!! My three year old and 4 month old were doted on by all of them. Overall our stay was wonderful. My favorite drinks were the tiki tiki and the Lucia special. My friends wedding was absolutely beautiful here.

Location is near to Coco bongo, located on bavaro beach, the service is fantastic! Sunnil on the concierge desk is beyond helpful. The seaside grill restaurant is the best! There were works whilst we were here but the service and the efforts taken to reduce impact were fab! We were upgraded to preferred and the rooms were significantly better than those in the 'normal' side. Don't use Amstar for your excursions though. And Uber is cheaper than the taxi organised by the hotel.

We went with a group of 16 friends and it was a great experience. Our personal concierge, Mayker, made sure we had everything we needed and housekeeping staff made sure we were taken care of. The food was unique and generally tasted great with only a couple of exceptions. The staff really made sure we were having the best experience.

We had an amazing stay at the Dreams Royal Resort - All inclusive in Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the front desk clerk, Arismendy, took care of getting us checked in ensuring we had all pertinent information about our stay. Emmanuel was assigned as our personal concierge & butler and he was fantastic! He made arrangements for everything we wanted to do and accompanied us when necessary to ensure we arrived at our destinations on time. He checked in with us a couple times a day to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had what we needed. Excursions, dinner reservations, and more! Thank you, Emmanuel!
Our room attendants kept everything so nice and clean and the fridge well stocked with drinks and snacks. Alessandra did our turn down service each evening. She left delicious little chocolates on our beds each evening. Aristide and many other cart drivers drove us from place to place in the resort and to neighboring restaurants which made it very pleasant! We loved our stay and would love to visit again! 💕

Beautiful resort, short ride from the airport. We were on the preferred side, and Emmanuel was our concierge. He was wonderful and helped us throughout our stay. Food was great at all the restaurants. The beach was okay, we didn't spend much time there, too many vendors walking the beach asking to buy things, so avoided it as much as possible. August is also the season for sargassum so already expected the beach not to be clear, but the resort did a good job of clearing it every day. Definitely will be returning for another trip soon!

Just arrived back from 9 days here and loved it. We stayed in the preferred club part away from the main resort in a pool terrace room onto the lazy river.

The room was great and being able to walk out straight onto a terrace with a pool was amazing. The preferred club area was about a 10 minute walk from the main resort over a wooden bridge through a lake and mangrove forest.

The service overall was good and generally as long as you are not over demanding and prepared to wait your turn its no problem at all. We found as the time went on the staff recognised us and they were friendly and keen to help.

The food selection overall was good however sometimes the a la cart restaurants felt a bit limited in terms of choice. The buffet was great and one of the best we have had.

Pools are great with plenty of loungers as long as you arrive at a reasonable time if you want a spot front and centre. We moved about between pools during the days and always found somewhere to setup.

Overall had a great time and would love to come back again.
