Check in went very smoothly, they showed me the room I originally booked, but upgraded me to something a little bigger.

Pros: Beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was ok. Cons: Noisy at nights as staff shut doors and talk loudly and you can hear everything. Fridge and TV did not work.

The outside of the property looks like a magical place. It has a vintage vibe inside and outside.

There is no safe, no surveillance cameras, you can save your things as you wish, the safes are faulty, why write that there is a safe in the room if it does not work, it is a scam. We had a lovely time at Karibo. We upgraded to a superior room with a big Balcony which was fabulous. The pool area was clean and spacious, free shuttle to the,beach and while downtown is 10 minute walk it was out of season so quiet but recommended for the corner bar alone! Infrastructure improvements are needed as the building is old. Although efforts are being made to keep it functional, the bathrooms, for example, are deteriorated for a resort. Additionally, the furniture is outdated.

Property had many options of restaurants and amenities. The Turquesa section is however towards the front of the resort. There’s no ocean view rooms and not walkable to the beach. Transportation was nice. We upgraded to the Ambar section to be close the beach and had a swim out room. Of course it cost more. The sales folks know how to sell it.

Had an amazing time with my kids and family. This place offers everything you need to get away from the rat race. Beach was perfect I love the people that come around selling things. Rested for 2 weeks in November. The location of the hotel is good, a beautiful large beach. Several other hotels of the same chain are nearby. Hotel Riu Naiboa is quite old and needs updating. Pretty good for the price. The kitchen is good, there is a sufficient selection of dishes, even for picky tourists. There is also a water park shared by several hotels.

Very nice sensory the beach is across the street. This spot is more for adults if you’re looking to just chill and vibe this is perfect. Not really for young adults. Great for families and couples. Wonderful event for New Year's reminded me of any european beach club party. Great time! Every family member enjoyed it and can't wait to go back again soon! One pet peeve is the butler service. Some are good, and some do absolutely nothing. Maybe upgrade the training on that. Also, the rooms need more light.

There have been recent upgrades to the rooms. New flat screen TV and a new shower have been installed.

Friendly staff, descent size clean rooms with good wifi. The hallway is quite noisy, they have tried to reduce this by placing a rubber mat on the hallway floor to dampen the noise made by foot steps.

It was a fantastic stay! Staff is really nice, despite the fact that the visitors are ugly and stupid and believe they are the centre of the universe. We applaud their patience because, during our check-in, we were hysterically crawling over the front desk.

My wife and I love to travel, our favorite country is the Domenican Republic. Very clean sea and beaches. The Hotel Tropicana Suites Deluxe is our favorite hotel. Have stayed three times. Everything is on the level. The staff is polite, the rooms are not large, but cozy, the food is delicious. Not a bad hotel!

Swim up bar was particularly convenient. Short 10 minute walk to the beach but there is a trolley that comes quite regularly you could hop on. Absolute perfection, from the pool side bar to the resort style private beach with plenty of palapas for everyone. Everything you need is within a five minute walk.
