STAY AWAY FROM THE ROYAL HOLIDAY VACATION CLUB (a Timeshare company operating within the resort) We fell prey to their highly trained sales agents and signed on the dotted line. Having an awesome time at resort. Activies there is but it seems lacking in a way. Other than that the service is good although heavy Spanish... My first ever resort and honestly a wonderful time. The weather was a blistering 30°C average so sunscreen is very much needed. The workers there are all incredibly jovial and kind and it was a wonderful time. The all inclusive aspect of the resort made this a trip to remember.

Our first night at the Excellence El Carmen we ventured into the Agave restaurant. My wife and I had a table outside overlooking the resort. The food was outstanding, courtesy of Chef Alvin. Best resort I have ever been to! I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts and none have ever lived up to my expectations after staying at Excellence. Its name lives up to the meaning. Lopesan was absolutely amazing and breathtaking. This was my first time in a resort In Punta Cana and I cannot wait to come back but for more days for sure. The food was amazing. Claribel and Domingo, great service. I really appreciated their hospitality. They were friendly and keep our stay enjoyable. You have to stay adults only so you can experience this service. The only deficiency is a lack of snacks at the adults only pool. It would be great if they grilled chicken, beef, or something at the pool for adults only guest!

One of the better resorts I ever been to. Rooms were clean and cold but still have a slight moldy smell to it. Food was also very decent and did not have any stomach upsets compared to other resorts I visited. Service was great from everyone as well and were nice. We're only 3 out of 7 days into our stay, but so far, it’s been an incredible experience. The resort is stunning, with a wide array of excellent dining options. Our favorite spot definitely is Bavaro Coffee, where the staff is amazing, specially Luz Castro, who we absolutely adore. I would highly recommend this resort to others and can’t wait to come back. 5 stars!

Decent resort - service needs to be improved a lot to make it a better experience for visitors. Food is ok at best. But the resort itself is beautiful - literally the only thing that saves it is how beautiful and picturesque the grounds of the hotel is. I probably wouldn’t visit again even with all the beauty.
