Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor

The Sofitel Winter Palace is one of the most grand and beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in! The hotel is massive with really high ceilings and is very ornate! The staff is very courteous and friendly helping you out in any way they can. We were impressed with the food, it was very good! The grounds is massive with a lot of Garden area and pools! Definitely a great place to stay while you're in luxor!

Very nice and cozy place, we didn't stay there overnight, we just went to have a look and see the old things and learn about the history of this place. The drinks we ordered were very enjoyable and delicious, the staff was very polite and easy to communicate with they speak many languages which we find very considered.
Again this place is such a masterpiece and a very unique one, can't wait to visit again.

The Winter Palace Hotel is excellent. The service is refined and attentive, with staff who truly care for every detail. Perfectly situated near historic sites, the location offers both convenience and stunning views. The ambiance is elegant and timeless, making for an experience of true distinction. Can highly recommend.

A great hotel with lots of history. Really beautiful grounds. Convenient having hassle-free shops inside. Really centrally located - walkable to key sights. The bathroom design was a bit strange, specifically the showers. But overall very comfortable rooms. The service little old-world stuffy for my liking, but would be loved by an older crowd.

Have not stayed here yet. We dropped in for some refreshments at two different locations. First, after a stroll about the gardens - we stopped at the poolside cafe to have some beer. We asked for nuts but the staff said we would need to go inside to the bar for that. No problem and we enjoyed the beer - the staff then later presented us with a plate of French fries on the house since they didn’t have nuts to offer us. What great initiative and hospitality. Thank you amazing staff. Later we moved to the inside bar for those nuts and more beer. The bar and interiors - like the large lounge room - were full of old world charm. Love the atmosphere and aesthetic.

This room was amazing, breakfast was great, and staff were really helpful and professional.

Above all the location was very perfect. Right across the street from the boat leading to the air balloon tours, and 10min cab ride to Karnak temple, and a few minutes to Luxor temple.

The staff was really nice which was the most notable part of the stay!

No words will can describe the beauty, character and charm of this amazing historical hotel built 1907. Everything is just beautiful, each corner of the building has amazing atmosphere. The Garden is flowery and the tweeting of the birds are so amazing. You just feel the royalty 👑 everywhere

hello. I hope everyone who reads this review takes it seriously. I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and on the second day, I started to feel really itchy. Of course, I thought it was a mosquito bite, so I endured it. By the third day it was even more itchy so I checked my bed for possible bed bugs.
The condition of the bed was truly terrible. I could easily spot signs of bed bugs.

I told the hotel manager about the situation and they said it was definitely not a bed bug.

They said they would call a doctor and check it out. But the doctor told me it was possible bed bugs. Nevertheless, they kept telling me no. This is truly terrible service mentality. They said it wasn't their fault, but they offered me drinks, a fruit basket, and dinner. I declined and asked for a full refund, but they said they couldn't give it to me.

Another day has passed and I am now in Jordan. I went to the hospital again and am receiving treatment. They really only made excuses to me and did not offer any sincere apology to me. I would like to tell you to be careful with your choices.

+ It is in the center near everything. Ate at the hotel for dinner, very nice. Breakfast buffet had very good selections Room was clean and king size bed was very comfortable

Excellent hotel and even better staff and service. The room amenities were great, and the Nile view was unbeatable. The staff go out of their way to serve you and more than live up to the hotel’s name and reputation. Staying here was the highlight of my time in Egypt.
