Great place to stop from the harsh Egyptian experience.  An oasis for sure great garden and fantastic service.  It’s a must do after long travels.

Really an incredible experience. Everyone from the reception, to the breakfast service to the pool and room service were exceptional.
They made us feel welcome, at home and helped us enjoying our stay.
Will definitely come back and recommend others that want to have an unforgettable experience in Luxor.

The window overlooks the river, and the sunset over the Nile is like a dream. There are many exotic trees in the hotel garden, lush and flourishing. The hotel service is great, coordinating the change and upgrade of room types. If there is a chance, I will come back again!

This is the worst international five-star hotel I have ever stayed in! This hotel was built by the Egyptian governor in 1886 and transformed into a hotel in 1977. It was born with luxury, but the service is really bad! The hotel has a long history and the hardware is a bit old, which is understandable. But the software service is really bad. The most basic toothbrush and razor were not provided in the room when I checked in. I went to the temple to play for half a day in the afternoon and came back in the evening, but they were still not replenished. The next day, they were still not replenished in time until I asked at the front desk. The room hygiene service was also bad. It was the same when I left and came back. The shoes were not put right, the clothes were not arranged, the water supply was not enough, and there was unknown black cotton wool on the sheets. The whole stay experience was extremely rubbish, and I could feel the naked discrimination against Chinese people. I will never come again! I will never stay in a Sofitel brand hotel again in the future

The hotel used to be the palace of the Egyptian king. It has a beautiful environment with flamingos and peacocks. The whole hotel is different from the Luxor city. It is like heaven and earth. One is full of horse manure and garbage, and the other is a palace garden. It is full of contrast.

It is a historic hotel with a beautiful garden. The 1886 restaurant in the hotel is very good, but there is a dress code for men. Although I brought a shirt and trousers, it was still not OK. Fortunately, the hotel provides suits.

The Sofitel Winter Palace is one of the most grand and beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in! The hotel is massive with really high ceilings and is very ornate! The staff is very courteous and friendly helping you out in any way they can. We were impressed with the food, it was very good! The grounds is massive with a lot of Garden area and pools! Definitely a great place to stay while you're in luxor!

Very nice and cozy place, we didn't stay there overnight, we just went to have a look and see the old things and learn about the history of this place. The drinks we ordered were very enjoyable and delicious, the staff was very polite and easy to communicate with they speak many languages which we find very considered.
Again this place is such a masterpiece and a very unique one, can't wait to visit again.

Worst staying. I booked before 3 hours for bbq night.I told them I need uzo they said okay we have sure. When I arrived there they said no we don’t have. I said okay I bring my bottles on room. Well I picked up but in that time they just get from outside one bottle and said it’s complimentary. I felt nice and special and I went live them tip (bottle of uzo it’s 10$ in outside) I leave them 100$ tip. After then manager come and said it’s not complimentary… I don’t care 10$ bottle for pay but they ruined my night so..
