Upon arriving at my room, I immediately felt comfortable. The amenities, combined with the comfort of the bed and pillows, truly make this a five-star hotel.
Beyond the facilities, the friendliness and warmth of the staff made my stay exceptional. The crew on the Intercontinental floor, especially, made me feel like part of one big family. Special thanks to Julian and the other staff in the club lounge for being so helpful and warm.
I will definitely be returning. This is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever visited.

However, the room service experience needs significant improvement. The food quality was below expectations, and it was often difficult to reach the room service by phone—we had to call several times, and some of our requests were ignored.
Overall, a pleasant stay with great hospitality, but room service requires attention to match the high standard set by the rest of the team.
Where to begin? Our stay at the Intercontinental Barcelona was nothing short of magical. From the start, the service felt auspicious—a promising sign of the incredible hospitality to come. Every staff member was not only professional but also genuinely friendly and welcoming.
Now, the room... It had a unique, intriguing character and a luxurious ambiance that felt both grand and intimate. The atmosphere throughout the entire hotel was very nice and friendly, making us feel completely at home. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely be returning
Not only did we receive a complimentary upgrade through my Chase booking, but the team went above and beyond and upgraded us again to a beautiful room with a king bed after I had accidentally booked a double. This thoughtful gesture truly made our stay more comfortable.
Breakfast was another highlight. It felt like fine dining even though it’s buffet style. You’re personally taken to your table, and two staff members greet you right away with fresh orange juice and coffee. Such a classy touch.
The location is also very convenient, close to the city center, making it easy to get around. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations, and I would absolutely recommend staying here!
Additional charge for in-house SPA was a surprise.
