Locarno

We stayed for three days visiting from Los Angeles. The rooms were simple but spacious. Whatever the hotel missed in amenities, it compensated by the stellar service. A few examples: all trains from Paris were cancelled and we ended up arrive to Nice one day later. The hotel changed our reservation and allowed us to stay one more day to compensate for the lost day. Next day we got upgraded to a larger room. When we asked for a wine opener, we also got an ice bucket and two wine glasses. Loved our time at Locarno, thank you for being so accommodating.

The Hotel Locarno offers an amazing experience during your stay in Nice. The rooms are clean, have air conditioning and are not too small. The bathroom is roomy, but the toilet smells pretty strong like sewer, which didn‘t annoy much since the toilet door can be closed.

The room comes with free coffee, tea and soap/shampoo. Additionally they hand out free towels and umbrellas when going to the beach. At the reception there are also irons available.

The reception is 24 hours occupied and the staff is helpful. The hotel lays at a good location, close to the beach, a beach club and a good bakery.

All in all, the hotel surprised us in a good way. Would stay again there if going another time to Nice.

Ideally situated a short walk from the CUM tram stop and a very short walk to the promenade! Disappointed with our room as I paid a bit extra with Easyjet holidays to upgrade to a double deluxe room. We got given a room right at the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor which was very noisy at night, so I never slept on our first night! Good job I had packed some ear plugs which I used the following nights and slept well. The room decor was quite dated, stain on carpet, handle missing off the wardrobe, squeaky door in the room, bathroom door would not shut fully. Nice new mattress on the bed but rubbish pillows. I really need to start taking my own as hotel pillows are always poor! Good to have a empty fridge in our room so we could keep drinks cold. The hotel had free coffee and iced water that you could have anytime so that was a nice touch. Also had parasols and towels to take to the beach. Breakfast was mainly continental with hot options of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, beans, bacon and sausages. There was an outside area bit we never used it. If I chose to stay here again I would request a different room probably one with a balcony!

Perfect stay to visit Nice. Easy access from the airport, near a tram stop and close to the promenade. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Room was basic, but perfect for our needs...a comfortable bed and clean, spacious bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay. The front reception staff were friendly and helpful. My room was fairly large than I expected. The location is the key of everything. It’s not central but so close to the beach which is what I’d preferred. You can walk up to the city centre and old town where you can find the local farm market is a pretty cute thing. Btw, the breakfast also included and tasty specially the fresh squeezed orange juice ( you gotta make it yourself though). Most importantly it’s quiet at night ( at least on my floor). All in all I’d say I’m happy with everything that this offer had to offer.

The terrace is a big bonus.
Best location to access public transport and just few steps from the beach.
Will definitely recommend and visit again!

What a find! Nice was a great city break and Hotel Locarno was a brilliant base for our stay. The hotel is really well run and every member of staff we had contact with was very friendly and helpful from the first receptionist we met who greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome to the last receptionist who packed us off in out taxi back to the airport. We saw four or five other reception staff during our stay who were all equally helpful. The room (110) was clean and comfortable, serviced well daily. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with great choice including cheeses, meats, fruit, pastries, cereals, breads, hot options and a variety of drinks. Staff serving breakfast were very helpful and friendly. The food was good quality and replenished regularly. The hotel is vey close to the Promenade des Anglais and then a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the old town. Great stay and hope to return for another visit.

We were very pleased with hotel. It suited our needs as most of the time we were with family. Showers are always important for me and here it was excellent. Room may have been a little small but otherwise excellent and very clean. Thanks to lady who looked after our room,very good and kind.

We are satisfied with everything. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The size of the room is just right and the bed is extremely comfortable. They strive for cleanliness, they clean every day. The hotel's location and accessibility are excellent. I recommend the accommodation.
