Holiday Inn Express - Nice - Grand Arenas, an IHG Hotel

The room provided was spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating my three luggages, which was a big plus. The hotel staff was generally okay, although not particularly exceptional in terms of service. They were helpful when needed. One area that proved to be a bit of a challenge was the parking situation. The hotel's parking setup was confusing, lacking direct access to the parking lot. This inconvenience made it a hassle to bring in and take out my luggage, especially after a long day of exploring the city. When it comes to the breakfast, I found it to be rather average.

Very nice location, clean room. Very comfortable bed. The downside is the electricity went out in the night..no AC, it got really hot and stuffy, and there were no lights to get ready for an early flight. They offered another room in the morning, but to pack to move just to take a shower and dry hair seemed daunting at 7am. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was very nice. Also, it's a great restaurant at the hotel.

We stayed here one night before we had to catch a flight the next day. We were very pleasantly surprised that it was much nicer than we thought it would be. Our room was quiet even though it's very close to the airport. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we had on our entire trip. The bathroom is nice but very small with very dim lighting. Wish there had been a mini bar in the room. Breakfast was pretty good but the scrambled eggs weren't good at all. I would give it a much higher rating but the air conditioning didn't work! It was 77° F in our room and we could hardly sleep. We had the air turned on but it wasn't working. My husband called the front desk and a man came up in the middle of the night to look at it. He said because it was "winter" the air hadn't been turned on yet for the season. What the heck?! This is the second week in May! The hotel needs to better accommodate their guests who like to be cool and comfortable when sleeping. A 77° room is ridiculous and unacceptable. If it wasn't for the air conditioning I would have given it much higher marks. On the plus side, the front desk staff is very kind and helpful.
