Hôtel Le Seize, Centre

Spent a long weekend here with one of my besties. We had a very pleasant stay. There were good and bad points.
Pros
-Fantastic location, Masséna Plaza is about a five minute walk or less. City center, about a five minute walk.
-Service, all the staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly and eager to help.
-Breakfast wasn't too bad, delicious sausages, fruit bowls are lovely and the selection of teas are of a very nice quality.
- There's also a coffee shop around the corner that does really nice gluten free banana bread.

Cons
-Breakfast room was really small!
-Rooms can get really hot and it was a bit difficult to open the window.
-The walls are very thin, so when the person's alarm went off in the next room at 6am it woke us up.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

The location is perfectly located and the staff are so kind and helpful. This hotel is walking distance to almost everything in Nice. The bathroom of this hotel room was moldy and not very clean. The shower had pretty significant mildew, I didn’t even want to shower in it and the sink in the bathroom was like a wood material that was falling apart. The sink was also not the cleanest. The room otherwise was perfectly fine. I can tell they are trying to improve guest satisfaction by handing out earplugs and lavendar which was a nice touch.

Great location but super noisy: not only from the streets (comes with the location) but also from inside as the walls are paper-thin. You can understand every word even if your neighbors speak in a hushed voice. Imagine other sounds...! One word of advice to réception staff: if you collect city tax at check-in, and ask for it again at check-out again despite the guest showing you the credit card receipt, then better organization seems wise. Asking to "pay again and then write an email to claim it back" is almost funny if it would not be sad.
