Hôtel Relais Acropolis

What a horrible stay although we arrived late and just needed to sleep had no choice. No working lights, AC, unable to charge phones - no electricity and NO WORKING LIFTS

Very unprofessional.

Worse one was - imagine waking up to no water - which means no shower unable to brush teeth and most importantly we got kicked out and knowing the fact that this is unprofessional no courtesy of apology or refunding what a nightmare.

***A Warning to Anyone Considering Hotel Relais Acropolis***

My family and I stayed at Hotel Relais Acropolis in late June 2024 during our vacation in Nice, and our experience was both troubling and disappointing.

On our first morning, my uncle and aunt went for a walk at 6:30 am. As they left, the gentleman at the front desk asked for their room number. When they returned, they discovered that someone had entered their room and stolen cash: one 100-euro note and one 50-euro note from their wallets.

We immediately reported the theft to the hotel staff. They said they’d inform the manager and get back to us. However, when we followed up later, we were told the manager hadn’t arrived and no one could review the security footage. This evasiveness raised our suspicions. If a guest reports a theft, clearing the hotel’s name should be a priority—but the staff seemed reluctant to address the issue.

Feeling unsafe, we asked to involve the police. The staff made a brief 2-3 minute call and, astonishingly, ended it with laughter. They then told us that since the theft involved a small amount, we’d have to go to the police station ourselves, which was far away, and that the process would take a long time.

Pressed for time, we decided not to pursue the matter further. However, the entire situation left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. We decided to check out early and move to a nearby NH Hotel.

I’m writing this to warn potential guests. While the amount stolen was small, the hotel’s handling of the situation was deeply unprofessional and suspicious. It felt as though they were more interested in avoiding the issue than resolving it. If you value your safety and peace of mind, I strongly recommend choosing other accommodations in Nice.

The cleanliness was subpar, and the staff lacked friendliness. While the location was average, the accessibility was good. However, the breakfast was poor, and the absence of a safety box was concerning. Additionally, there were no TV and fridge in the rooms, which was unexpected and inconvenient. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless improvements are made
