This was a lovely place to stay for our first time in Paris. We were pleasantly surprised by the room size and the bathroom. The staff were so kind and helpful. We felt very welcomed and valued their suggestions and local knowledge. The breakfast was great. Our stay felt authentic and personal. Thank you, we would love to come back again.

Spent 4 nights in the hotel and was provided with anything I needed. The room was lovely and its location was amazing. Only dowsnide was that walls between rooms were thin so that I could hear what goes on in the rooms around me.

Good location and, based on my very limited contact, very nice service staff.
But the rest is awful.
Actually a couple seemed to have arrived some time before me and checked out the when I checked in at night. They were apparently extremely displeased with the place.
The stairs of the staircase are dangerous because the carpet is damaged and the stairs themselves are not straight.
I almost fell on my way down and I’m not old or incapable of walking.
The bathroom is awfully small.
Toilet is weirdly positioned in it. The shower is not fully closed so the bathroom might become a water slide after your shower.
The wardrobe in the room can barely be opened as it doesn’t have a handle.
The bed itself was comfortable.
The elevator seemed to be 100 years old.
Wouldn’t stay there again.
But the rest is awful.

This was a great hotel to stay at for our first visit in Paris! The room was a little cramped, and I for the life of me don't understand why the shower isn't fully enclosed (it's just a quarter wall of glass, so the entire bathroom gets all wet when someone showers), but that's not unique to this hotel or even Paris. No AC, but there was a fan in our room that worked perfectly. The staff at the front desk was very nice and gave us great tips about how to best get to the train station and asked about our day when we returned in the evening. I would stay here again!

Positives: the room was twice as large as the last room we had in London. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Provided coffee was delicious and the free water was appreciated. The bathtub was a nice touch as well. By far though the best positive was all the staff. They were talkative, very helpful, and assisted in anything they could. And all of them loved entertaining our 2 year old.
Negatives: honestly, there were 0 negatives here!
If I was wanting to return to the center of Paris, I would come back to Hotel Baudelaire Opera instantly. Close to major sites and a few metro stops, quite a few grocery stores within a few minutes walk, and one of the best boulangeries we tried (Joseph).

No AC. I forgot to check whether or not this hotel offered air conditioning ("climatisation" in French) when booking, something that was sorely needed here (and expected at the price we paid for our stay). Tiny room (expected) with an upper loft, which made it hot and stuffy in the upstairs bed. They did offer fans (which helped) but then we kept tripping over them (due to the tiny room). Opening the windows wasn't a good option due to the street noise (and outside heat). So we barely slept the couple of nights we stayed here.
The overall condition of the hotel, rooms (and especially bathroom) was rather worn and dated (nearly dilapidated). There are definitely better hotel choices at better prices.

Nice, clean hotel. Tiny rooms. Great location and helpful staff. It was quite hot while we were there and there is no a/c, but there was a fan. Simple amenities, but easy to get everywhere.

Good location, friendly front staff. Fridge and safe did not work, replaced fridge right away, grateful for that, safe not replaced. Overall room smaller than expected and small shower for taller people. Walls/ceilings paper thin, you will need earplugs for a night if you are a light sleeper. Overall it was good!

We had a truly wonderful experience at Hotel Baudelaire Opera. The staff were outstanding—especially Theo and Setti. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always ready with a warm greeting and eager to help with anything we needed. They were especially kind and attentive to my older parents, and their sweetness and care meant so much to us.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to many top attractions, making it easy to explore the city. While the rooms have a more classic feel, they were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job.
I can’t thank the team at Hotel Baudelaire Opera enough for such a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The staff member on March 8, 2025, was very nice. Some rooms don't have a view (but still have windows). I would give it 5 stars for the staff, 5 stars for the location, and 4.5 stars for the facilities.
