This hotel caught us by pleasant surprise.
Positives: the room was twice as large as the last room we had in London. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Provided coffee was delicious and the free water was appreciated. The bathtub was a nice touch as well. By far though the best positive was all the staff. They were talkative, very helpful, and assisted in anything they could. And all of them loved entertaining our 2 year old.
Negatives: honestly, there were 0 negatives here!
If I was wanting to return to the center of Paris, I would come back to Hotel Baudelaire Opera instantly. Close to major sites and a few metro stops, quite a few grocery stores within a few minutes walk, and one of the best boulangeries we tried (Joseph).

No AC. I forgot to check whether or not this hotel offered air conditioning ("climatisation" in French) when booking, something that was sorely needed here (and expected at the price we paid for our stay). Tiny room (expected) with an upper loft, which made it hot and stuffy in the upstairs bed. They did offer fans (which helped) but then we kept tripping over them (due to the tiny room). Opening the windows wasn't a good option due to the street noise (and outside heat). So we barely slept the couple of nights we stayed here.
The overall condition of the hotel, rooms (and especially bathroom) was rather worn and dated (nearly dilapidated). There are definitely better hotel choices at better prices.

Nice, clean hotel. Tiny rooms. Great location and helpful staff. It was quite hot while we were there and there is no a/c, but there was a fan. Simple amenities, but easy to get everywhere.

Good location, friendly front staff. Fridge and safe did not work, replaced fridge right away, grateful for that, safe not replaced. Overall room smaller than expected and small shower for taller people. Walls/ceilings paper thin, you will need earplugs for a night if you are a light sleeper. Overall it was good!

We had a truly wonderful experience at Hotel Baudelaire Opera. The staff were outstanding—especially Theo and Setti. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always ready with a warm greeting and eager to help with anything we needed. They were especially kind and attentive to my older parents, and their sweetness and care meant so much to us.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to many top attractions, making it easy to explore the city. While the rooms have a more classic feel, they were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job.
I can’t thank the team at Hotel Baudelaire Opera enough for such a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The staff member on March 8, 2025, was very nice. Some rooms don't have a view (but still have windows). I would give it 5 stars for the staff, 5 stars for the location, and 4.5 stars for the facilities.

The atmosphere, friendliness, and service at the front desk were very easy to understand and made the room comfortable. I was able to go to the Opera House area to drop off my luggage and then go out again, so I was able to move around easily. The bathroom was a little old, but it was well-cleaned. The bed was very comfortable.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. I decided to stay in Paris for a couple nights while visiting family and booked this hotel and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Their suggestions for restaurants were perfect and really made my trip exceptional. My room had a gorgeous view that had me spending most of my time on the balcony. The hotel itself is nearly 400 years old and is so incredible you feel like you’re stepping back into a simpler time and getting a break from today. The neighborhood is safe and easy to walk to whatever you want to do. As a single female I felt safe the entire time.

Lovely hotel and amazing owners. They happily shared all their recommendations as local ‘Parisians’ which gave us the best experience in Paris. The room was small but super clean with an amazing bed. It has all the essentials you need for a beautiful citytrip, including an excellent location in the middle of Paris, close to Louvre.
