Hôtel le 209 Bercy

Very rude staff. Very impolite

Hotel is convenient, but the girl at the front desk (Pauline) was extremely nasty & rude, from the beginning til the end. Everyone was so pleasant and nice except for her. I ask her to heat up my food and she threw it away and acted like it was an accident. I tried being nice to her but she was still rude to me, Pauline needs to learn how to treat her customers politely. I would definitely come back if she was not there.

Just steps from the Dugommier Metro exit. The Name is on the side of the building but all the other branding Hotel 209, was confusing. Red is the house colour and the rooms and spaces have been done up well. But our room 805 was tiny large comfortable bed and pillow choice, opening window to mini balcony with low rail. Bathroom is great but the toilet is ridiculous, when you sit the door is crushed on your knees, when you stand the aggressive door closer pushes you forward. Tiny hanging space with safe. Nowhere to place an overnight bag. A very large TV the BBC news was not working and a coffee maker but like the bathroom toiletries, the coffee sachets and milk were never replenished on our 3 night stay. Overpriced and the slowest lift in Paris. Had hoped the 4 stars and Tulip reputation would haven given us better value for money. Stayed at ibis last time may go back there at least they do not pretend to be something they are not. Did not try 14 Euro breakfast, felt ripped off enough with our deluxe choice of room.

Great large food market on Tuesdays and Fridays a few steps away, supermarket across street and excellent Boulangerie Ernest & Valetine 50 metres down Rue de Chareton
