ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. This hotel was not what was advertised online. The website looked cute, however when I arrived the place was completely run down (chipped paint, possibly black mold), dirty and not what I was expecting. The room I booked for 230eu looked liked like a low grade hostel.

When I expressed my concerns, they offered me other rooms in the hotel, which did not meet my criteria as well. I didn't feel comfortable staying there. The place felt dirty, desolate and empty.

**Checked out the minute I arrived. Meanwhile, I am experiencing no sleep from the flight and travel anxiety.. But that didn't stop them from charging me for 5 nights. I am currently disputing the charge.

Luckily, my friend had the insight to book a hotel around the corner for the same price (her points worked there so she chose that instead of my original suggestion of Hotel Malar.) It was warm, clean and had updated bathrooms.

Save your money and find a better location. There are MANY better options around the corner.

This hotel recently changed management. It was absolute chaos - they held my credit card for the reservation, their system didn't recognize it, I called to reserve over the phone (which I got an email confirmation for), I confirmed my reservation with a phone call from my part on the day before my booking. The owners just cancelled my reservation the next morning (the day of my booking) and I didn't get a notification. Yet, my credit card is still reserved. If it wasn't for the kind staff, I would have never known that my reservation was cancelled. Now, I've asked them to cease the amount they still hold on my credit card but I will have to call my bank tomorrow. Do not go here, just a headache.

Small boutique hotel in the center of Paris. We walked from here to the tower, the Louvre, and most sites we wanted to see. It is not an american type so don't expect a lot of space in the room. But it has a small courtyard and tons of restaurants close by.

I recently stayed at this adorable hotel and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—even offering to carry my bags up to the room, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having a private bathroom was a definite plus. The location couldn’t be better—close to everything and perfect for exploring the city. The free internet was fast and reliable, which was a great bonus.

That said, the room itself was quite small, and getting to it involved navigating a narrow spiral staircase, which might be tricky for some travelers. The bathroom was compact but manageable; however, the shower was exceptionally tiny, which could be a challenge for taller/larger guests.

Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall charm and hospitality made for a delightful stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy, well-located place with a personal touch.

This was the worst experience! When we got in they said the reservation was cancelled with no reason. No elevator with sinning stairs. They said we were on the 3rd floor when it was really the 4th floor because they marked the 2nd floor twice which was bizarre. The morning we were checking out the guy watched us struggle getting our luggage down the stairs. When we shared our experience, he started attacking us that it wasn’t his fault. Dirty shower with the smallest shower room. We had to turn sideways to get in the shower. My bed’s leg was so loose the bed would move as I tried to turn. There was no closet. They had some baskets on the wall that I guess was supposed to be the closet. When they had done the room, the garbage was left outside our room for 24 hours. The site says there’s breakfast but you actually have to ay for it. Would rather go to a nice restaurant instead. There was no room to open the door when we put one luggage down. The other luggage was put down on the other side that caused us not to be able to open the bathroom door. This was the smallest room with room just for their two twin beds. Overall I would not recommend this place.

There are a bad smell in the hotel , also there are quite a lot insects in the room , there are no elevator, no water in the room , the bathing water sometimes hot sometimes cold , and the room is very very tiny.I regret a lot for booking this hotel.

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was small, but when we are traveling abroad we are willing to sacrifice space for location and cleanliness. We were central to many great attractions like the Eiffel Tower and Napoleon’s Tomb. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They let us leave our bags there before our room was ready and also after we had checked out so we could do some additional site seeing before heading to our next destination.

Great location, only set back was asking for more towels and they said no, housekeeping is done at 3pm. You have to wait until the next day for fresh towels when it was housekeeping who cleaned your room and did not restock clean towels.

Stayed at Hotel Malar for one night. My friends and I traveled from the USA to the UK for a wedding and we hopped on the Eurostar train to Paris. Hotel was a little hard to find, our Uber driver just dropped us off and we found it by ourselves. Julian checked us in and he was charming and welcoming. The hotel is small with only 22 rooms with an open garden of flowers and herbs in the back. Though quaint, the location is A+ because its only about 15 minutes walking to the Eiffel Town. The hotel is uniquely decorated with fun pictures around, its eco-friendly and Green Key certified. The lights are motion-sensor throughout, and your door key card operates the lights and appliances in the room. Once the card is removed from cardholder, the electricity is no longer active. There is no elevator so be careful up those wrap around stairs. We got 3 rooms, they were small as well as the bathroom but clean. Surprisingly, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. FYI, bypass the buffet breakfast, it's not worth the cost. Not many food options plus its DIY. I wanted fresh orange juice, had to squeeze about 6 oranges to get a small glass of OJ. One of my friends wanted boiled eggs, she had cook them herself. Overall, the hotel is good for the cost.

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. There is a supermarket a few steps away from the hotel with a full range of goods. There is also a Japanese sushi restaurant next to the supermarket, which is great. There is also a small supermarket opposite the supermarket, with great coffee.
