A marvellous understated hotel , amazing location in the town , with beautiful views . The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast . The staff can't do enough for you - lovely eggs each morning . In the evenings , they serve a selection of excellent steaks . Staff are well informed , and really on it . Our first time in Chania , but it won't be the last .

We stayed in History! The original stonework was kept when rebuilt. Stayed in the mosaic suite, absolutely stunning, big shower, very comfortable bed ( queen +) Double glazed windows so you don't hear the night life. Restaurant underneath for breakfast which was full breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, salmon, everything you could need. Staff friendly & caring, full of helpful local places....

Ideal location, very good place, but not worth the extremely high price. Very good service, rooms are spacious and nice, but a couple of things didn’t work well. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Would be 4-5 stars if not quite so expensive.

No matter the room size, facilities or hotel service, they are all excellent

This is the worst hotel in Greece from Athens all the way to Heraklion in Crete to Chania. If you were in a three-star hotel for 1,000 a night, I would think you were pretty good, but if you said that you were in a five-star hotel for 2,400 a night, I would find it ridiculous. It was already noon when we arrived in Chania. I was really looking forward to checking into the most expensive hotel on this...

It's not a very big hotel, with six or seven floors and four or five rooms on each floor. The room faces the sea, the view is great, and I fall asleep every night listening to the sound of the waves. The hotel staff was very enthusiastic and upgraded the room for free. The room was very spacious and clean. The terrace had a beautiful view, facing the sea, and you could see the lighthouse. The bedding was comfortable and I slept for more than eight hours. The breakfast was rich and delicious. It was very close to the old town and a ten-minute walk to the port. It was a very good hotel.

A beautifully restored hotel in the middle of the traffic free, old Turkish quarter in the centre of Chania. A family run business where care for guests is the priority. Lovely rooms, superb breakfasts and a delightful roof garden. Spitting distance from several excellent restaurants and close to the harbour. We really didn't want to leave.

I spent 6 nights in this nice hotel in early September 2025. It is greatly located at the heart of Chania Old City. The room was very spatious with a big terrace. The owner and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope to come back again.

Stayed here in 2017 but have a look every time I’m in Chania. The rooms have this insane period wood paneling which is like art. Views of Chania’s Venetian harbor are chefs kiss. Finally the breakfasts are varied, local and and clever

The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast that is included to the price is great and can keep you all day full. Everyday they change your towels and clean the room like you are new customer. The only disadvantage I can think is that is a little overpriced for what the room is, but I guess they charge the extra services that you get. I recommend to stay there for 3-4 days.

We had booked the hotel for 2 nights.Unfortunately though we needed to stay only for 1 night.We called then and emailed them in time and they said on the phone that they would help to find a solution on the missed night.All they did is to to charge us as normal for 2 nights although we stayed for 1 and they didn’t even bother to manage our frustration.I’m not coming back to this hotel.

This was one of the coolest hotels we have stayed in. It is a 500 year old castle. The rooms are huge, with very comfortable beds and the best rain shower. The staff are so friendly and accommodating to all your needs. They also give you a traditional Greek breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect with fun shops, restaurants and the beach. Stunning location. Nice staff in the moment, however, non responsive via email and phone after check out. The Jacuzzi did not work, we didn’t find this out until 1 am. The downstairs shower leaked badly on the entire bathroom floor almost flooding the bath room. Lovely room and beautiful location. Comfortable bed. Shower pressure great. Air con worked. But if you value sleep do not stay here. Very noisy building. When other guests come in the sound echoes. Doors alarming. Guests coming in and out all night. Hard floors means someone walking above sounds like an elephant. Other guests allowed cats in which screamed all night outside the room.

The staff is extremely helpful! Everything was taken care of. I had to switch rooms in middle of my stay as I extended my trip and they moved my stuff from one room to another while I was out so it was a seamless transition. Location is absolutely perfect.
