Chania Town, Gianni Paizi 36 🧭 Map
About the rooms: depends on the occupancy, if with a sea view - it will be good, if to the courtyard and also under the restaurant - you will hear the noise of the hood, washing machine and God knows what else
Very nice hotel, clean, with big rooms. Room service is great, every day they refill our coffees. We can ask them to refill our water containers, thus saving plastic bottles. The staff is amazing, always smiling and nice
from the free laundry room, free shuttle to and from town, on-site car rental, daily excursions, delicious breakfasts to the rooftop restaurant with stunning sunset views, every area was so thoughtfully planned out
You better have a car to move around, but they also have a free shuttle to and from the city. Also they offer free laundly service
Modern hotel with clean rooms and well-maintained bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, offering panoramic views of Chania from the dining area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink
The hotel restaurant has great food and one of the best views for watching the sunset in chania. Just remember to reservate a front row seat in time. There is also a big pool and a gym included in the room

I would especially like to mention Rena from the bar on the first floor — she truly made our stay unforgettable! Also, a big thank you to Elena, Anna, and Ioanna, who made sure every morning at breakfast was perfect and that we had everything we needed
I highly recommend that if you are coming to Crete that you look her up. Another amazing worker is Katerina. She was great to interact with. Her upbeat attitude was amazing. I really appreciate all of the staff at Kydon
We had a fantastic time at Kydon Hotel! It’s definitely one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at so far. The location is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained
View from upper floor of the old city is stunning. Located just 5min walk from the old port which offers many restaurants and tourists shops. Very nice breakfast with many options. Valet parking is a big plus.
She is amazing at everything she does. I really appreciate her welcoming attitude. I have never been more welcomed at any other location. Being an outsider I really appreciate being involved in her day to day
The food and service are the best! Especially Rena, who works the bar. She makes the best drinks, always has a beautiful smile to greet everyone with, and willing to be helpful to those of us not from Crete.

I like to send special thanks to staff that was on the night duty for all his help. Leaving early hours in the morning with three young children he was extremely helpful with everything
Nice staff, great breakfast which you can enjoy outside and nice confortable rooms
Very close to taxi drop off/pick up, very close to the sea although not visible from hotel, and very close to heart of Old Town Chania
The staff was very welcoming and helpful The breakfast was quite tasty and fresh The price also I find quite cheap for 5 nights that we stayed Overall very nice hotel, with nice rooms and location Would recommend
I have stayed in El Creco for a week with my family to celebrate my birthday. We were a group of 9 (6 adults and 3 children under 10). The staff and hotel are very welcoming and try to help you with everything
A beautiful modern hotel located on the edge of the old town with a stunning roof top bar where you can watch the sun set. The room we stayed in was spacious with a comfy bed and a nice quiet air-con system

We stayed at Samaria Hotel for four nights as a couple with a toddler, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hotel is charming with a perfect location, everything is spotless and sparkling clean
The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, generous, and delicious. Above all, the staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and warm
When it came to parking the valet service was amazing. again our team's hours were out of the ordinary and well outside of the staff's hours. When the team lead explained, again, the staff accommodated our needs
Service was impeccable and thanks to Bena, Maria, Likourgos and George for their hospitality and awesome advice on things to do (and avoid). Stay in the top floor penthouse if you can
Rooms clean and facilities well thought out, breakfast was incredible! But the thing that made our trip was the welcome of all the staff, they couldn't do enough to accommodate us and every single team member was friendly and helpful
Our schedule did not align with the breakfast hours, with our team leaving an hour earlier than their normal opening, no problem, the staff opened up the restaurant an hour and a half early! And the best part is you would never have known that it wasn't a normal service

The hotel is bear to the Old town(it can be reached by feet) , the personnel is very kind and everything is brand new and clean , service is wonderful and breakfast is delicious, definitely a hotel to keep in consideration if you visit Crete , i’ll be back for sure
Very good city location by walking distance to the Port, Bazaar (Central) and short driving distance to the Hanya Beaches. Excellent and very warm hospitality! Good room with good-brand almost new furnished bathroom
As many people mentioned, rooms are not as great as on the website, however it's not a tragedy! Our double bed was huge with fresh bedding every day, the room was cleaned daily and new towels were left in the bathroom
Lots of delicious and fully-fresh variety selections of breakfast everyday
Thank you Cleopatra, Anastasia, Nicos, Alexander & Rena. Everyone went out of their way to turn my stay an excellent experience. Clean rooms, personalized service, excellent guidance with a smile
Very expensive for what you get, rooms are adequate at best, pool is small, surrounding area to pool is tight, breakfast was good however. Location is OK, 10-15 mins into old town harbour.

Beautiful modern Hotel Beautiful hotel right on the water, amazing restaurant, we had a great dinner and breakfast. The rooms had an amazing view of the sea and very modern and luxurious.
Our stay at The Tanneries was exceptional. The property is gorgeous and modern yet fitting the historical surroundings, the rooms are also very modern and lovely with immediate proximity/ views to the water
Perfect stay, very stylish, one of the best hotels we stayed so far. Only thing to improve would be the outdoor jacuzzi. It’s so cold, it should be a hot jacuzzi! Than it would be the most perfect stay.
The location of the hotel is magical. The morning is peaceful and the evening lively with the hotel restaurant and another neighboring restaurant. The hotel staff are kind, friendly and very helpful
Then the next day the reception staff went out of their way to help when my colleague was not feeling well. I can’t say enough about The Tanneries hotel and how they go out of their way for guests
Chania, Crete Loved The Tanneries Spa and Resort. Amazing room, jacuzzi, steam shower, complimentary sparkling wine, complimentary breakfast…so many positives that it’s hard to list them all

The art above the beds is a nice touch. I loved the olive based toiletries in the bathroom. They worked wonders on my hair. The welcome fruits, Raki, and peanuts were really a nice touch
We stayed here as part of a group of 18. We had been told that we would get upgraded rooms. But when we checked in, they were standard. Hard to make excuses as we booked the trip in November almost a year before
We stayed here last year and when we needed another night in Chania before joining a trip it was the obvious place to come. As before, we were made very welcome at Reception as we arrived even later than we had said
Guest rooms were clean and exactly what they promised, the pool side breakfast and pool area was wonderful and quiet. The meeting space was perfect and the location was so convenient, we could walk everywhere
The staff really stood out- they were incredibly helpful with arranging taxis and even coordinated a medical appointment for me, explaining how the process worked. That level of care made a big difference
I had a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect- you can walk to many areas, and I only needed a taxi to and from the airport. The rooms were impressively quiet; I never heard my neighbors once

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Halepa Hotel. It truly was a first-class experience from check-in to check-out. The room was immaculately clean and spacious. The rooftop space is beautiful with stunning views
Beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Staff went above and beyond during our stay by having breakfast ready earlier than usual accommodate our early departure and having a boxed lunch prepared for us
This is a lovely hotel in an elegant old building. The rooms are fully modernised and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It is in a quiet spot which is a delightful 20 minute walk into Chania old town
It is in a quiet neighborhood, yet an easy walk to Old Town Chania and the historical sites. I truly hope our travels once again bring us to Chania where will will once again stay at Halepa Hotel
The breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed it in the lovely front garden. The staff was very accommodating in providing dinner options and even stored our luggage for a few hours after check-out
Very accommodating staff and comfortable stay. The car rental at the hotel was great price and port drop was well organised. Nice breakfast

It may prove difficult to get to because of it's location on a narrow, cobblestone street, but it is well worth the walk! Elevator starts on the first floor as some mentioned, but it had no bearing on us, we just dragged our luggage up one short flight of stairs - it wasn't an issue at all
The breakfasts were just great, with the most delicious freshly squeezed orange juice I have ever tasted. The rooms were spacious and well appointed ( although the bathroom handbasin was a bit "unusual!!!")
This hotel was fabulous! It was one of our best stays during our 2 weeks in Greece
The hotel room we stayed in was HUGE and overlooked the sea/lighthouse, it's in a great location on the harbor and is walking distance from everything! Anita, George and Cristina were SO accommodating, friendly, helpful and just superb hosts
right in the middle of the old town, with literally dozens of restaurants within a stone's throw. All in all a hotel to be highly recommended
I would highly recommend this hotel - it was truly a highlight of our trip!

Room new, clean, AC, fridge, great balcony overlooking town & sea. Breakfast had fantastic choice, very fresh. Great value for what was paid overall. Bus station less than 5 mins walk to go elsewhere or to/from airport
Nice hotel in a good location. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, good rooms.
Nothing to say negative, everything was perfect
However, after arriving to the room, I noticed that there was no toilet paper in the room. Mistakes happen; we are all human. I called the reception, and the lady had me search the room for the toilet paper
Great location very clean rooms. Super location and the hotel next door does valet parking. Great price and lovely breakfast. Thank you x
I find it in very poor taste that, having made the mistake of not providing toilet paper, the hotel would then make the guest go and fetch it

Front desk staff were super helpful helping us plan day trips to see the sights and giving us advice based on their experience living there. I would stay here again next time for sure
I also enjoyed the spa — the Swedish massage I tried was incredibly relaxing. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to everything, making it easy to explore the area
Highly recommended! The rooms are modern and well maintained, location is good. Our view of the sea was amazing and the patio was spacious. The best tho is the staff - incredibly friendly, quick to smile and say hello
Lovely, comfortable modern hotel in an excellent location overlooking the sea and old town walls. I had a wonderful fifth-floor spacious room/suite with large terrace and spectacular sea views
A nice hotel with a pool and SPA near old town Chania with a nice breakfast buffet. You can walk to the old town along the sea. There was a welcome cocktail for every guest. We had a nice stay there for three nights.
Clean, good condition and friendly staff. The location is very central but at the same time quiet. We went during the low season so might have been lucky regarding that as well

Thanks to their fantastic recommendations for dinner reservations, local gyro spots, the most beautiful beaches, and more, we were able to truly enjoy everything the area has to offer
The Hotel Porto Veneziano is by far one of the best locations for Chania. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was amazing. Perfect for a glass of wine and the view in the evening
Had a wonderful stay at Porto Veneziano. I had booked a sea view double room with balcony and was upgraded to a suite which was absolutely amazing
It is easy walking distance to interesting areas of this beautiful town. The staff goes over and above to please the visitors. Friendly bar tender and the included breakfast was delicious
The hotel’s food and bar were excellent, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely safe. We can’t thank the staff enough for their warmth and hospitality
As I said the table service was outstanding. We will definitely return to Porto Veneziano Hotel and recommend it to friends as the go to hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing property! Best all inclusive food by far and staff was great! From the front desk to the be and buffet everyone was pleasure. 10-12 min drive to the Old Port and some good restaurants within walking distance
Me and my mum stayed here for a week. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, the food and drinks available on the all inclusive option are varied and of good quality
Vi hadde et swim out deluxe rom med nydelig utsikt og deilig svømmebasseng. Vennlig og serviceinnstilt betjening. Et perfekt opphold for avslapping og lading av batteriene
The pool and dining area views are great, and there are plenty of loungers around the pool, so it’s never packed, even when the hotel is full

After 2 visits - Really nice place, at a great location with the most friendly and helpful staff. The sea front rooms are just perfect.
Lovely little B&B in the old town of Chania with waterfront balcony rooms and a very friendly staff! Really quiet and nicely redone rooms offer a great way to view the city center, or just stay all day on the balcony and watch people go by…Room 105 was ideal, and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast which they brought out to the private balcony
We stayed 6night here. I felt like home with Belmondo hotel💗 The view from the hotel room was so beautiful and amaging ! (I think best view in Chania🌅) Thank u so much Dora:) Cheers ! 🍾🍷
The hotel is beautiful and suits its location on Chania's old city. The stuff are kind and polite, specifically Dora. I would definitely go back the next time I'll visit Chania.
Convenient location, very friendly staff, the hotel can only be reached by car until 9am.

Breakfast was great value for money with lots of tasty options, I even saved the sandwich everyday for my lunch due to the filling options provided
Bathroom was very clean & modern. Bedroom was clean as well with a comfortable bed. Big terrace / balcony area with a great view
Location was dead centre in Chania allowing great accessibility to all the local sights, restaurants & views
The hotel is located very close to the bus station, which is very convenient (I recommend visiting Balos and Rethymno). We easily reached the beaches, restaurants and all we needed in Chania on foot
Good location in the edge of the old town. Strange entrance where you have to climb upstairs in order to get the elevator. Weird disabled lift where you have to climb over the metal bannister to get the lift.
We had an excellent stay in the Archontiki hotel. The room was OK and had a long balcony. The staff was very kind and helpful. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts, which you can either eat inside or take away for later

Lovely little hotel right by the harbour. A lovely little hotel about 2 metres from the harbour! I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman on reception who showed me my room and gave me a map of Chania Old Town
Other than that though, I would recommend staying here - you come out of the hotel right into the hustle and bustle (and an amazing restaurant on the doorstep!) but once you’re in the hotel, you have peace and also aircon!
My room was perfect for just me, the only thing to mention is the bed is up on a separate floor and there are some rather steep steps to get up to it. If mobility is an issue, this might not be for you
The hosts at Nostos Hotel were immensely kind and helpful, sourcing trip info, timetables, and booking taxis. The building was full of character and beautifully decorated
Location was incredible with gorgeous balcony views (being on the harbour front meant there was noise into the evening, but the vista across the water was unbeatable)
Great stay We had a great stay at Nostos Hotel. Very central location close to several shops and the harbour, clean rooms, and the owners were very kind.

Had a top floor room with a view to die for, close to the harbour quite rustic with modern bathroom. Booking direct was easy with assistance / advice on parking and an early check in, rapid response to a few emails
Warned prior that there was no lift but had assistance with bags etc. Service wise, for our stay of a couple of nights George was a mine of information and assistance, very much appreciated
When I arrived, I had left my suitcase at a shop several streets away and George actually came back with me to collect my case. He was the perfect host, showed me up to my room and explained how everything worked
My stay at Helena Hotel was awesome! The location is very central but also very quiet, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The two hosts are super nice and don't hesitate to go out of their way to help
George was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. He provided many recommendations for breakfast and dinner. He also arranged our taxi to airport. He made the time in Chania very enjoyable
George was so helpful and gave us some great suggestions as well as answering my curious questions about life on Crete. We felt safe and comfortable here and would highly recommend for a stay in Chania

The hotel is in the very pleasant Nea Chora district of Chania which has excellent restaurants as well as some very good bakeries and places that serve good quality souvlaki and gyros
Christiana Beach Hotel is located in a good area. We generally prefer to stay in a hotel on the beach, but a close enough to restaurants, shops and a 10-15 walk to the town centre
We stayed here 23 - 30 May 2025 on the second week of our holiday in Crete. A wonderful hotel in Nea Chora, Chania, right next to a beautiful beach
Our room was very comfortable indeed and had a marvellous balcony overlooking the beach (the balcony had no awning or sun umbrella but the very helpful staff put up a temporary sun umbrella so so we could get more use out of our balcony even when the sun was shining directly on it but a more permanent awning would be useful)
The new archeological museum on the other side of town has a remarkable collection of antiquities, and its café terrace has wonderful views over the bay and towards the Venetian port
There’s also a bus stop a few hundred metres from the hotel that has quite frequent buses that go to the outskirts of the old town and to many other locations
