Room was gorgeous, spacious, and loved the steam shower! Had a room with balcony. Staff were all very nice and willing to help! Great service!
The perfect place to stay in Chania Beautiful hotel with great location and services.
Beautiful modern Hotel Beautiful hotel right on the water, amazing restaurant, we had a great dinner and breakfast. The rooms had an amazing view of the sea and very modern and luxurious.
Our stay at The Tanneries was exceptional. The property is gorgeous and modern yet fitting the historical surroundings, the rooms are also very modern and lovely with immediate proximity/ views to the water. Most importantly the staff is wonderful. On the first day of my stay I got a massage, scrub and facial with Katarina and it was excellent. Then the next day the reception staff went out of their...
New 5 star hotel, clean amazing dinner ,Olimpia from front desk very helpful and professional. Love it!
Chania, Crete Loved The Tanneries Spa and Resort. Amazing room, jacuzzi, steam shower, complimentary sparkling wine, complimentary breakfast…so many positives that it’s hard to list them all. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent food variety and taste. Very nice, friendly ambiance. Will definitely visit again soon!
I am not sure which portion of our stay was the best. The hotel itself is absolutely remarkable and historical. Our hotel rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Their staff was friendly and helpful. BUT their restaurant was so delicious! From their breakfast to dinner and cocktails. The flavors and freshness did not disappoint. MonEs provided us with the best dinner in Chania!
We were really impressed. The service, the food, especially the ambiance, even the acoustics were something special. The price-performance ratio is definitely fair. It’s a place for a special occasion. The service was absolutely great! That's exactly how I imagine service in a restaurant should be. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! I have looked at the other reviews. Absolutely not justified...
What a hidden gem!! In the middle of everything and about 2 blocks at most from the Harbor. Check in was wonderful and the Receptionist very accommodating and answered all our questions and gave us great tips as well. The rooms were ample enough great pillows, mattress and very very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and they serve very generous portions. Most importantly there is an...
Staff are really friendly and facilities are great.
When visiting Chania, you need to have dinner here! Such an elegant and unique venue, an old Venetian building remodeled with great taste. Both food and service were excellent.

This hotel was fabulous! It was one of our best stays during our 2 weeks in Greece. The hotel room we stayed in was HUGE and overlooked the sea/lighthouse, it's in a great location on the harbor and is walking distance from everything! Anita, George and Cristina were SO accommodating, friendly, helpful and just superb hosts. It may prove difficult to get to because of it's location on a narrow, cobblestone...
Great hotel in the heart of Chania Old port.
Amazing location, warm staff, fresh and modern rooms and amenities.
Anita and Hotel Manager provided excellent service
In 30 years of traveling, this was the most accommodating hotel I have ever stayed at. 10/10 all around. There were two women in particular, I wished I had their names, but they attended to every detail of my stay. If they are reading this, thanks again from Ohio!
The location and the people in the hotel made for a perfect, relaxed time in the relaxing city of Chania. Our room was lovely, the breakfasts were perfect, and the desk staff (Christina, Anita) were very helpful in all ways, as were the rest of the staff. We would highly recommend this choice for your visit to Crete.

Amazing property! Best all inclusive food by far and staff was great! From the front desk to the be and buffet everyone was pleasure. 10-12 min drive to the Old Port and some good restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely be back!
The view from the outdoor areas was stunning and countered the dates indoor facilities especially the rooms. This is clearly not a 5 star hotel. The meals are all buffet style and the layout makes it difficult to navigate and work out what to select. The outdoor bar staff were friendly and helpful but the reception staff less so - quite brusque and not very helpful in terms of things to do in the area...
Hotel was nice with plenty of amenities, but not really within walking distance to any shops or restaurants. It’s about a 10 minute cab ride to old down town Chania. If you’re looking for a place with multiple pools and plenty of areas to hang out, look no more. We had the room with our a semi private pool as soon as you walked out the back door. Good views Poor customer service and breakfast
Me and my mum stayed here for a week. The hotel is excellent. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, the food and drinks available on the all inclusive option are varied and of good quality. The pool and dining area views are great, and there are plenty of loungers around the pool, so it’s never packed, even when the hotel is full. The hotel was nice, even though the room was a bit small. The view was beautiful, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, and I especially enjoyed the breakfast. I will definitely come back again.
This hotel is beautiful. The staff are the nicest people and so friendly. The breakfast is over and above anywhere I have been. If you are lucky enough to come to Chania this is definitely the hotel to stay at.
This property has ruined it for all the other hotels! Best service, the staff is beyond friendly and helpful!! You feel completely spoiled! The room was beautiful! They thought of everything to make your stay elevated!! We can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. We will never stay anywhere else when we go to Chania. Every hotel we stay at from now on will be compared...
No matter the room size, facilities or hotel service, they are all excellent
This is the worst hotel in Greece from Athens all the way to Heraklion in Crete to Chania. If you were in a three-star hotel for 1,000 a night, I would think you were pretty good, but if you said that you were in a five-star hotel for 2,400 a night, I would find it ridiculous. It was already noon when we arrived in Chania. I was really looking forward to checking into the most expensive hotel on this...
The first thing we did during our stay was a little unpleasant, but our Ctrip butler Jin Lei followed up and solved the problem. Thank you very much! Georgia, the front desk clerk at the hotel, also gave us a lot of help and warm service. This vacation ended successfully. Hilton is a good choice.

We spend two special night here. The rooms were well designed, the breakfast was superb, and the service was flawless. Was also very nice to have our own private pool with a view out over the city and lighthouse. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a tranquil break and a chance to recharge.
The hotel is very nice, but for some room (our room, deluxe room with private pool and sea view) private pool it’s not actually private because you can see the neighboring terrace. Maybe for advice choose the first row building. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, also breakfast in the room is very nice.
We had an unforgettable 2 night stay at this stunning hotel. The room was clean, modern and the views from the balcony were absolutely breathtaking but what really sold it for us was the private pool. It was a generous size and had the infinity effect looking over Chania town. There were lots of complementary beverages too. A marvellous understated hotel , amazing location in the town , with beautiful views . The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast . The staff can't do enough for you - lovely eggs each morning . In the evenings , they serve a selection of excellent steaks . Staff are well informed , and really on it . Our first time in Chania , but it won't be the last .
WOW .. what can I say but simply brilliant ! My husband and I stayed for 11 nights in this gorgeous boutique hotel and it certainly didn’t let us down. Fantastic location. Very professional staff. I enjoyed the breakfast. Our room, the Wood room had a fabulous view of sunrise and sunset from its little balcony and a great view of the harbor from in the room. The soundproofing was great. Even though the harbor was very crowded and busy late into the evening we did not hear a thing. It is in a pedestrian only zone so be prepared to walk a block or so...
Great location! A real “gem” in the centre of Chania’s port. Lovely boutique hotel, large rooms, comfortable setting, staff were friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was amazing! Dinner at the same restaurant was also excellent! Highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again! Only con was parking was limited.
We stayed in History! The original stonework was kept when rebuilt. Stayed in the mosaic suite, absolutely stunning, big shower, very comfortable bed ( queen +) Double glazed windows so you don't hear the night life. Restaurant underneath for breakfast which was full breakfast, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, eggs, salmon, everything you could need. Staff friendly & caring, full of helpful local places....
Ideal location, very good place, but not worth the extremely high price. Very good service, rooms are spacious and nice, but a couple of things didn’t work well. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Would be 4-5 stars if not quite so expensive.

I cannot praise this hotel enough, no matter how many words I include in my review. The Serenissima Hotel is simply perfect in every way from the staff, to the central but quiet location and it's fantastic breakfast. A special thank you to both Petros and Alex who served our home cooked fresh breakfast each morning, nothing was to much trouble and always attentive. Thank you Caroline for guiding us...
Serenissima was a beautiful, perfect choice for our two-day stay in Chania. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are very clean, and breakfast is so delicious + set in a stunning dining room. Most of all, 10/10 service -- we were the tourists who didn't know we had to park a few blocks away and carry all our luggage to the hotel (because a lot of the area is walking only). Carolina helped us not only...
A pleasant surprise coming into the hotel out of the crowded alleyway. The building is beautiful. There were only a couple plug ins in the European style which was a slight downside. The room was large with two balconies, quiet and rustic but beautiful. The only negative was the bed was not comfortable. The location is perfect! Breakfast was tasty!
I travel regularly for work so when I take vacations, I'm selective about where I stay. The Serenissimia Boutique Hotel is a beautiful residence with an excellent location - calm and quiet but only a short walk along the winding streets to restaurants and shops. Our room was spacious and well appointed, the bed exceptionally comfortable and amenities just right. The highlight though, is breakfast ...
Located in Chania Old Town on a quiet non-vehicle street. There are only seven rooms. Ours was spacious and well-appointed. Staff friendly and efficient. Great breakfast served every morning. Just a very short walk from the waterfront. A very good restaurant - Tam Tam, is right around the corner. If you're in Chania, stay here.
Spacious rooms. Friendly staff . Amazing breakfast Great location and beautiful island It’s one of the best boutique hotels we ever stayed at. Accommodating meals for the kids . Beautiful verandas to sit at night and drink wine and good people working .

To start off: WOW Such a lovely place. Me and my friends stayed for 2 full weeks with all inclusive, and this were JUST what we were looking for. We find the other reviews to be untrue. Yes, the hotel is located on a steep hill, but this should not be a surprise to the guest. A little research would have revealed that. Our stay here was lovely. We brought our two boys and they loved the mini waterpark and Kids’ Club. The 5 outdoor pools kept them excited all day. The buffet restaurant had great variety and the spa gave us some much‑needed relaxation too. Excellent family choice.
Overall I am somewhat happy with my stay but there are a few things I would like to point out. I was hesitant to start by tipping the housekeeper, I thought it was only right to do so at the end and as a result the room was not cleaned well enough. For example the bed was not changed for the 10 nights I stayed and the towels were only changed twice. On the second to last day I had to go to reception...
We alternated between poolside lounging, spa pampering, and afternoon beach swims. With free loungers, umbrellas, and shuttle, we never lacked options. The hotel's peaceful vibe made it easy to unwind—yet always exciting.
Our stay at the Gallini Sea View Hotel in Crete was average. The location with the beautiful sea view was definitely a plus, and the staff was friendly. Checked into the hotel quickly when we arrived. However, on arrival was told we would have to pay €105 due to tourist tax and being a 5* hotel. TUI, claim they told us but it was in small print......however we did receive a free upgrade to a room with a pool. 5* hotel, questionable. Not sure if that was due to Platanias closing down for the season or if it's just how the hotel runs. (Food excellent...
Large resort hotel in Platanias village right next to the beach. The hotel is spread over a huge area, with many room types to choose from in several buildings. There are several smaller and larger pools between the buildings, which are not heated. Unfortunately, hotel guests "reserve" the sunbeds in the morning, so it often happened that although there was no one in the pools and around them, we still...
We were moved from the village resort to the beach resort due to being under subscribed at the end of the season. We were worried as we booked there for the water park but on jet 2 looking into it they were keeping the park open with the rest of the resort shutting. Ultimately an enjoyable stay but I can't put my finger on the issue(s) with this place. We as a couple went out of season, we expected bad weather but the hotel seems to avoid most rain coming in off the coast, however the wind chilled the pool area lot as it's quite exposed. We went with our 11 year old, I wouldn't say it's set up to "entertain" kids but he had a wonderful time, the pool...

Very expensive for what you get, rooms are adequate at best, pool is small, surrounding area to pool is tight, breakfast was good however. Location is OK, 10-15 mins into old town harbour.
Very nice staff. Good location. Great breakfast. Our room was quiet as it was facing the inner courtyard.
Very good service with very friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast had a wide variety. Great location – close to the Old Town and Nea Chora ⛱️ Highly recommended! Evxaristó from
Easy, convenient to get around by foot and the beach is a stones throw away. Lovely stay.
I had an absolutely delightful experience at Akali hotel in Chania. I was welcomed with warm hospitality from the moment I arrived. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully arranged. Very accommodating staff and comfortable stay. The car rental at the hotel was great price and port drop was well organised. Nice breakfast
Incredible service. Super accommodating. A beautiful hotel overall. I’ll be staying here again in the future.
Beautiful hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Staff went above and beyond during our stay by having breakfast ready earlier than usual accommodate our early departure and having a boxed lunch prepared for us. One of the best hotel experiences I have had.
This is a lovely hotel in an elegant old building. The rooms are fully modernised and the staff couldn't be more helpful. It is in a quiet spot which is a delightful 20 minute walk into Chania old town. Breakfast in the hotel garden is a joy. I can even forgive the cold fried eggs. Highly recommended.
A nice location, 30 minutes' walk from the old city center of Chania. They have a fairly large parking area. Breakfast was good and could be enjoyed indoors or on the terrace. One suggestion would be to provide morning shade for all terrace tables. The room was clean but the furniture was older than expected, as we were told we would be staying in the new wing. The Morum at Chania room was very clean. Even though a little too small, we managed. The washroom very small with no shelf to leave your everyday personal items, making it a little difficult especially when you are there for 8 nights. Reception staff especially Mikel & Vicky, all amazing, very friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was more than plenty and delicious and the staff, Nicollet...
It was clean , the people were friendly , location was very good
Very clean and tidy business hotel, the hotel is located in the city center, a 10-minute walk to the old town and the port to shoot sunset and sunrise. A very good hotel to stay near Ganya, worth recommending. The only problem is that the hotel's own parking space needs to be booked in advance. If you don't book a nearby parking space, it will cost more than 20 euros per night.
Came here to do something, booked a hotel nearby, not bad
I enjoyed my stay in this cute and friendly hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet and super friendly and helpful staff. Parking is tough to find but the staff can rent you a space in their private lot for $10-20 per night. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the room but it was small yet very efficient. A nice hotel with a pool and SPA near old town Chania with a nice breakfast buffet. You can walk to the old town along the sea. There was a welcome cocktail for every guest. We had a nice stay there for three nights.
Clean, good condition and friendly staff. Loved our stay here. The location is very central but at the same time quiet. We went during the low season so might have been lucky regarding that as well. Very friendly and helpful staff, great cleaning staff! The breakfast was good. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Had a great time here for a week stay in Chania. Lovely modern room with good breakfast and a nice spa, and a short walk to the old town and a small but nice beach. The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast was good, and we really liked the lovely inner terrace – it’s a nice spot to eat and relax. The rooms were very clean, though a bit small, but cozy. We've been there for 2 nights around mid September. Beautiful hotel and confortable rooms with excellent breakfast. Located less than 10 min walking from the old harbourd. Possible to park your car in the parking of the hotel. Last but not least, a very welcoming stuff, specially Elena who helped us a lot and gave us good advices for visiting. We salute her.
Beautiful hotel in the city center, walking distance to the old town which is filled with restaurants and shopping spots, across the street from an amazing coffee shop, kind staff, clean and felt safe! Around 10 parking spots in the underground lot first come first serve otherwise parking free on hotel street ! Breakfast had good variety of options! Would recommend !

Lovely little B&B in the old town of Chania with waterfront balcony rooms and a very friendly staff! Really quiet and nicely redone rooms offer a great way to view the city center, or just stay all day on the balcony and watch people go by…Room 105 was ideal, and the hotel offered an excellent breakfast which they brought out to the private balcony.
After 2 visits - Really nice place, at a great location with the most friendly and helpful staff. The sea front rooms are just perfect.

The review is about the beach restaurant of the hotel of the same name. They have very good food and decent prices. The special pizza is very good and the pork steak is huge, served with pita, salad and fries and costs only 14Euro. This hotel is great place to stay. Four years in a row I spent my entire summer vacation in this hotel. The owners Christina and other staff like Alex are so kind and welcoming. I am very grateful for all their help and support.
The hotel has a good location – right by the beach and within walking distance of the town center, which is convenient for those who want to enjoy both the sea and city attractions. A very nice hotel, full of historic character, in the old port quarter. Lovely room and beautiful location. Comfortable bed. Shower pressure great. Air con worked. But if you value sleep do not stay here. Very noisy building. When other guests come in the sound echoes.
