Me and my boyfriend had an amazing stay at this hotel. We were there for four nights, and the staff were always so friendly and helpful. Very special shout out to Nikos on the reception - for the very best food recommendations ever! He made our trip very special.
Very close to Heraklion museum and local buses to Knossos, so perfect for us.
The breakfast was great, the room was lovely, spacious and fully accessible. Lots of great food and drink options in the mini bar and they offered discounts at local restaurants too.

My family and I stayed at Legacy Gastro Suites for seven nights in early July, and it was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s exceptional hospitality stood out — always friendly, professional, and ready with thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our stay.
The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk to the Heraklion Museum and local buses to Knossos, with a taxi station right across the street and the central bus station within walking distance, making it ideal for exploring the area.
Breakfast was a real highlight, offering fresh food, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs cooked to your preference. On two early excursion days, the team kindly prepared generous lunch bags to keep us fuelled while out and about.
Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and fully accessible, complete with a balcony that offered stunning views over the city and harbour.
We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend Legacy Gastro Suites to anyone planning a trip to Heraklion. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

We travel the world and always book at 5 star locations. What exceeded the 5 stars at this hotel was the SERVICE. The entire staff wore smiles during our stay and aimed to please. Special honors to Chara and Makes who really stood out and made sure we were well cared for. The location was perfect and accessible to everything we desired to see. The breakfast had every group covered. We were in an upgraded room which was also perfect!

Nice hotel in the very center of Herakleio.
It may tick the boxes for a five star hotel, but it doesn't feel like one. Room had a great view, was clean & tidy but was a bit strangely decorated, with a tiny WC and the glass covered shower + sink right next to the comfy bed, which came as a surprise. Reception of the hotel was super small (unlikely for 5* hotels). Table serviced breakfast (no buffet) had fair options but also felt somehow strange, as bacon & sausages with the egg came cold - probably cooked much earlier, pancake was burnt and there was no espresso or instant coffee available as the barista was not there and the waiter could not make a coffee (it was about 8am).

Stayed there 3 nights. Great location - next to the old town; there is a taxi stand and a paid parking lot next to the hotel. Good service: the two gentlemen at front desk were very helpful.

We stayed here in September 2024 for three nights with two other couples. Great location in the center within walking distance to everything, including the archeological museum shopping, the harbor. Rooms were beautiful and well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was incredible! Staff very pleasant and helpful with local recommendations. We would most definitely return and stay here again when we return.

While this a pretty little hotel, I do not think it is a five star hotel.
The 24 hr concierge was very helpful with information and requests. She was the best part of the experience.
Rooms were pretty but cramped and small. A small shower stood in the corner of the bedroom. Thank goodness the toilet was in a separate room but you practically had to stand on the toilet to close and open the door.
Location is tough right now. There is construction around the hotel so it isn't very pretty in the area. It is also loud very early in the morning with the work going on. Getting rides and taxis is a little tricky, given they can't pick you up or drop you off right in front of the hotel. Most of the restaurants more well known are located closer to the water, not near by. Shopping is close, though.
There is no pool and they are not affiliated with any hotel that has one.
The breakfast on the top floor is a tough sell. They keep the temp at 80 degrees F. They basically serve the same small charcuterie tray every morning with an extra offering of eggs made with anything on the charcuterie tray. The bar downstairs had very limited hours.
Second Response -
I have no idea what sound proof barrier you are talking about. It was noisy before 8am. Period.
There was never a mention of any close restaurants offering discounts.
I am amazed at your listing of the breakfast tray...we never got the pie and yoghurt. Everything else was combined in small servings on a 12 x 8 tray.
While we were there, Crete's temperature was 92 degrees. We never had 140 degree days during our stay.

Amazing front desk service - they helped us with everything from needing extra towels to getting a rental car to getting us transport to the port. Note that they offer shampoo and shower gel, but no conditioner. There is a pharmacy around the corner where you can get some.
Breakfast was not buffet style but rather seated with a pre-selected breakfast brought to you. You get your choice of drink (I ordered a frappe), yogurt with honey and nuts, egg cooked in a style you choose, a croissant, pancake, a tray of various meats/cheese, etc.
The room was nice. The shower is in the middle of the bedroom which is a bit odd. We were on the 4th floor which had a great view of the sea/port. Lots of bakeries and other restaurants nearby!

Exceptional service! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Special thanks to the friendly lady who recommended an amazing restaurant and helped us with a room change, and to the warm-hearted gentleman who checked us in late at night.
