Smell from the gym is not good

Breakfast was good, decent variety, but the coffee machine wasn't working properly so that was a bummer. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable hotel experience - would recommend and stay again if doing a stopover

Aquila Atlantis Hotel is a solid place to stay in Heraklion - the location is excellent, close to the city center and easy to explore nearby sights and walkable to great food spots

One of the authentic hotels in crete island. It was built in 1964 originally. Hotel staffs are friendly and professional. Only weak point is GYM 🏋️‍♀️ facilities. Relatively small and lack of machines

However once we got to the hotel they told us that they have one but only a very very small one, basically they refused our car and told us to park it somewhere else

The hotel is in an ideal location. But I would never call this a 5 star hotel the toilet was dirty the swimming pool was small. For 5 stars i expected alot more

Breakfast includes a variety of local cuisines and also available with room service in the evening. Check in/out is fast and it has own restaurants. It takes 20 minutes by bus plus 5 minutes by walk from airport

I was tired from traveling, so I chose a centrally located hotel with front desk service, which was acceptable

we could not find a hotel in the southern crete, and luckly it is only one hour drive back to heraklion. this is the best hotel we could find in the souther area of keraklion.

This hotel is on the island and it can be said to be a very good living environment. The swimming pool is very beautiful, the breakfast is also very good, and the small bar in front of the door is full of atmosphere

Unfortunately, the breakfast room is not open-air, and there is freezing air conditioning. Nice breakfast, instead of the usual Lipton tea they offer a wide range of teapigs flavours, a very good brand

The hotel is a bit off the pedestrian city center but within walking distance to the bus stop to Knossos and the main bus station. The breakfast is served on the sixth floor with nice views of the port

We only stayed for one night, it is simple, but nice. Near the city center, the fortress, the bus station, the harbour. The view from the restaurant is amazing.

Nice premium bungalows with plenty of space for 3 persons. Nice beach with free sunbeds and good service if you want to order drinks and snacks. All the staff were friendly and helpful

The advantage of the hotel is that the accommodation is not in one central building but in many small houses located in a garden full of trees. Everyone has privacy and a pleasant environment on their terraces

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

As soon as we had a first look of the hotel and came inside I was greeted with some amazing staff and made us feel very comfortable for our first time, then as we made it to our room we felt so heartwarming with how clean they tidied the room for us! Then as we woke up in the morning we went and had a absolute delicious breakfast with a variety of choices

And can I explain how amazing the location is located! It has a supermarket and mini market next to it with a nice restaurant which have some nice gyros, All I can say is i totally recommend this place, Thank you for this lovely experience for our first time in Greece!

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vanisko Hotel in Crete, and I can honestly say it was one of the most heartwarming and enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve ever had

I’m not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews, and I’m pretty picky about cleanliness and comfortability. Positives: clean room, somewhat modernly furnished, very kind service

At a total of ~130€ a night, it’s about what I would expect, which is a clean, safe place to sleep with good service and useable amenities

Overall, if you are here temporarily for the airport, or you don’t spend much time in your room on vacation, this is a good choice

The maid service system was also kind of neat, it’s a digital button inside the door instead of a placard. Tea and instant coffee are provided in the room with an electric kettle

On the fourth floor, I could hear a ton from the kitchen above me, and other guests banging around their rooms or in the hallway. The kitchen noise died down eventually at least

Centered in old town Athens, this is a stunning hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the view from the rooftop bar were fabulous

Only two servings of coffee capsules the first day (really now…), no facilities to dry bathing suites. The good side, they serve one of the best breakfasts around Greece and the waiters are extremely polite

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

This Restaurant has been update since my last visit and food is very good and reasonably priced. Recommend the Calamari

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

I was really curious about the parking situation but they had their own dedicated parking spots which made life soooo much easier. Be mindful though, the roads are narrow entering the carpark so you wouldn't want a 4WD

We even took 2 more pieces on purpose, but it turned out to be a bit sour when we ate it, an overnight watermelon in summer; in addition, we stayed for two days, and 2 drinking water bottles were provided on the first day, but not on the second day

Although the service staff helped to take the boxes downstairs, the hotel was on the second floor, and we had to move one floor by ourselves after leaving the hotel; the hotel had watermelon for breakfast on the first day, and we were very happy

Fortunately, there is a supermarket downstairs, but the logic of not providing water on the second day of check-in is too confusing. Is my room rate on the second day cheaper than the first day?

I asked the front desk, and the front desk said that water was only provided on the first day. This is on the island, and the water in the pipes is not drinkable

The first two times were shorter, and the last time was longer, which was almost life-threatening. Because we left the hotel, we couldn't take the elevator

The hotel is in a good location, close to the commercial street, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk to the bus terminal and the port

Perfectly fine hotel in the city center, with a good breakfast service. I did find some mold in the shower. For those with a vehicle, the roads near hotel are very tight with very limited parking available

It feels like a European business hotel. It's not very big, but it has everything you need, it's great for exploring the old town, and they provide breakfast, so I had a great rest.

This is nice mini hotel located on the beach just a bit outside of city centre. Rooms 401 and 402 specious and well set up. Good to stay for weekend or a week. Recommend to try.
