Hotels on first line in Heraklio Town

The hotel is in an ideal location. But I would never call this a 5 star hotel the toilet was dirty the swimming pool was small. For 5 stars i expected alot more

The hotel is very good, just a dozen minutes walk from the museum! Hygiene: Very good! Environment: Comfortable! In the central city, there are dedicated parking spaces, which is very convenient for travel! The price-performance ratio of the room is also very high, and the breakfast is also very good!

The review is just so so and the pool is quite small. Location is great , easy to walk to the museum, central bus station and the old town area. Don't expect it as a 5 star hotel, then everything will be ok.

One of the authentic hotels in crete island. It was built in 1964 originally. Hotel staffs are friendly and professional. Only weak point is GYM 🏋️‍♀️ facilities. Relatively small and lack of machines

Smell from the gym is not good

The hotel is well located and clean with comfortable suites but you have to find your way to the shops because unless you ask for it, there is no map offered

The hotel and beach were very beautiful nad well-kept. Staff was helpful and kind, always smiling. Entertainment was well-organized by likeable animators (especially water gym)

We've stayed in Dessole Dolpin Bay resort for our family vacation and LOVED IT! Food is absolutely delicious, so many options even picky eaters will find something. Employees are so nice and welcoming

We were there 2 days before the hotel closed for winter time and when we asked to stay a few hours later in the room, we had to pay €30 additional fee, while other hotels offer that for free when it’s the end of the season

Nice premium bungalows with plenty of space for 3 persons. Nice beach with free sunbeds and good service if you want to order drinks and snacks. All the staff were friendly and helpful

There had been so many different options and everything was delicious! The pool and beach areas had been aswell nice with enough sunbeds! Overall, we really recommend it!

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

We stayed at Vanisko Hotel for 3 nights. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was magnificent - fruit, vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, juice all the best quality

The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony - rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are changed every 2 days. The air con worked perfectly too which is vital in the scorching Greek weather

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

Very nice location close to Heraklion. There is hop on, hop off bus for sight seeing just in front of hotel. Hotel has pool, small pool with slides, it is close to beach

Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, beds are not very comfy, but hey, you won't be inside for most of the time. The beach is clean and equiped with free beach chairs for guests, beach bar is just a few steps away

Pool is also clean and big enough for multiple groups or families, so you do not have to worry about crowds. There is also a mini playground and a field for ballgames, tennis court, table tennis

To make credit to other reviewers, the all inclusive options are a bit limited, but for our experience it was more of an advantage as we do not drink and (as a family with small kid) we do not really find joyfull the company of drunken partypeople

Food was good - we had excellent meals, also some average meals that did not match our tastebuds, but that happens everywhere. Coconut cake is to die for, on the other hand breakfasts were a bit boring

We did a few trips - and the stuff made sure we were well fed, they made early breakfasts and also lunchboxes for us. The care and thought put in the service is absolutely priceless

There are "public pools" which we also used, but it's a nice thing to have your own bed whenever you want to relax at the pool :) Food: The breakfast had a good choice of food (also vegan options available like marmalade and peanut butter, soy milk, fruits, vegetables and many more

Minus points: loud outdoor music on right side of hotel, on left side loud outdoor movie theater. Beach is nice, but beds contantly occupied by people laying down towels at 7:30 am and views on Coal Power Plant

We liked the dinner that was served even more as there were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from (meat was of course also available). The selection changed every day for a great variety

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance

The swimming pool is small but clean, and the beach is very nearby. Nice restaurants in the street and you can take a bus to Heraklion city

Good hotel for a lazy beach holiday

Hotel Management allowing people to use bluetooth speaker at the pool area ruined the mood there for 2 days during our vacation end of OCT 2024

About the pool and beach area: The pool and beach area are very clean and there is plenty of space and sun loungers. The sea is incredibly beautiful and clean. The pool is not special but is sufficient

The pool bar offers drinks, snacks and ice cream at all times. What was quite annoying after a few days: The music playlist is hardly changed and after 1 - 2 hours the same songs are always playing

Be warned they don’t always run to time and the last bus back is much earlier than advertised (last number 6 is about 11pm)

Prices much better than the supermarket in the hotel. The lady there was happy to split certain packs of things that we didn't need 5 of. Would be 5* if we didn't need to carry a buggy up a flight of stairs to get in.

We keep coming to Georgia's Garden hotel and, each time, with the same great pleasure. We love swimming in the sea and smooth sand beach, which is just 200m from the hotel

A perfect way to start the day 😀 If we do not go to the beach, we swim in the pool, enjoy a cocktail or walk around to souvenir shops or take the bus to the city centre

When we checked in we were graciously upgraded to a suite in another building with access to another resort and pool. All the staff were very friendly in all areas which made our stay very enjoyable

Teams were excellent, services were excellent, but the mattress in the sofa bed was appalling. Otherwise, it's perfect for a couple or a family, it's near the beach, near lots of restaurants and bars.

Anything you need, just ask the friendly staff and they will help you gladly: booking excursions, a massage, ordering a taxi, renting a car, tourist information, you name it

In the evening we enjoy a nice dinner or just a drink or cocktail at the bar, sometimes also chatting with guests from all over the world. We even made good friends here

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

Also located very close to the airport, so transfer is quick and easy via bus, shuttle or taxi. There is a rent a car next to the hotel for those willing to cruise along the beaches of the island

Great outdoor pool, clean and neat, friendly staff. Food is very good, with Maxim restaurant at the street level and has a very nice terrace

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area

The pool was very clean and perfect to cool down in, as well as having plenty of room to swim in despite its proximity to the sea. There were always sunbeds available around the pool with no need to reserve with towels

Well located hotel with clean but small rooms. The balcony is really big and the hotel owner is really friendly. The clean pool with the big chill areas is one of the highlights

Our stay at the Hotel was excellent! Going to a 2 Star Hotel is always different from the big luxurious All In Resorts, however fulfilled its purpose completely

Free sunbeds and umbrellas, pool is large and up to 2,90m deep. Included breakfast typically Greek: olives, feta, watermelon, yoghurt and honey,. Furthermore two types of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, scrambled eggs

3 minutes to the beach: ammos beach bar sells TWO sunbeds and umbrella for 3€ daily - incredible. There are also pavillons for 10€, and you get fruits, juice and water. Some nice restaurants and shops around

Pool bar was open every day (serving drinks, Greek snacks, icecream, coffee; also pasta), and VERY cheap: ouzo 1,50€ ? Pool open from 1000-2000, no night swimming, quite common times

The hotel itself what you'd expect for the price. Rooms are clean and tidy if a bit dated. Breakfast is good as is the pool. Staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful fixing any issues immediately.

Mr Christos is an amazing manager and he'll take care of your every need. The location is amazing and the beach is a paradise. The location is great and very safe

100 meters from nice sandy beach with lots of activities for all ages

The studio was basic but had everything we needed and was clean with sheets and towels changed mid week. The pool was lovely and very pretty surrounded by flowering shrubs. The food was lovely and freshly cooked

Arrived around midnight but was welcomed as if it was midday even made an omlette as I was pretty hungry washed down with local Ouzo ..Will take welcome over accommodation every time
