A basic hotel. The area is very central, it’s a reasonable destination for few nights stay

Good rooms, perfect distance from poijts of interest, restaurants and transport. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms are very basic and a bit out dated but overall a fantastic option for the price

Due to a mix up, we ended up being changed to this hotel at the last minute, which turned out to be a good choice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but functional. Due to jet lag, we missed the buffet but that was ok, we were in a good location and found a great spot nearby for a coffee and pastry combo.

I giving this review from my previous stays at this accommodation over the last 10 Years. Its always been a pleasant and convenient place to stay. Just one complaint though. I accidentally booked the wrong dates to stay but i managed to cancel a whole week before i was meant to stay. The location couldn't be better, the breakfast doesn't have much variety but it is very good and the staff is super nice.

Budget hotel. Clean, central for Heraklion Town. Bit noisy at night, but it can't be helped as you are smack in the centre of town.Good value for money.

There was little friendliness and service from the first man we met at reception. There was another one later that was a little more pleasant, but overall a hotel I will avoid the next time.

The best option if you wish to spend a few days in the center of Heraklion. Next to many restaurants, cafés and the sea side. Many payed parking options around. Value for money.

The room and bathroom were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Location is minutes away from the harbor and from the center where all the shops and restaurants are. Yanis was very courteous and helpful with answering questions. Check- in after hours is very easy and facilitated by hotel staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

For the price and location it’s great! The rooms are simple, bathroom is small, but it’s all clean and the bed is comfortable, the room has AC, clean towels, and the staff is very nice. We did the self check-in late at night and it also worked great. Only the WiFi has been a little unstable. Would recommend as a budget friendly option :)

Great location, very near the port, the main street and lots of restaurants and the supermarket. Service is great too. However, there could be more power sockets in the room, and the shower space was way too tiny - just turning on the shower already blows the shower curtain away, which leaves the washroom all wet. Also, the WiFi isn't very reliable

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and great location!

If you want lux, go and pay 100€ per day. This is nice for what it cost, 35€ per day for 2 persons. Staff was pleasant, they found us a room right away, in a middle of a seasson. If you need a place to sleep, and you're on a budget, this is the right place.

The hotel is a 25 minute walk to the city centre. The rooms are clean and very cheap. From 8 am to 12 pm there are a lot of airplane starts which can get really loud. If you‘re okay with that, then you‘ll have no problems with your stay. The breakfast for 5 euros is served to you, there is no buffet. It consists of a sandwhich, two croissants and four bread pieces with coffee, Fimi soda juice and jam...

Walking distance from both the airport and from the ferry port (20 minutes). There is also a bus stop near the hotel for the bus to the airport. Very friendly staff. Free WiFi only guranteed in the lobby, but there is good reception in the rooms on the east side (just above the lobby). Rooms are very clean and well kept, even though the place is quite old. Airplanes fly above every 15-30 minutes, so...

Depending on what you expect you can love or hate that place :) because it's best advantage is also the biggest disadvantage -location very close to airport. You can actually take a walk to airport terminal so it is very convenient, but you won't miss any aeroplane passing by unless you are as deaf as a post. Building and furnishing is old but everything is clean and tidy. Good to stay for the night...

I cannot fault the service at this hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night having had our flight home cancelled and they could not have been more accommodating. Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless and having only been there half a night they offered to have our luggage for the day so we could spend the day in town. Such lovely staff made what was already a difficult time so much better.

Very basic amenities but a very friendly friend desk who helped us with various issues we had and found space for us in the night when we were stranded at the airport! Fairly cheap, clean, close to the airport, no complaints at all!

The location was excellent and the rooms clean, however the breakfast was very disappointing. It mainly consisted of 2 different types of bread and an egg. Having said that, the view was great, the restaurant just next door is excellent, and the value for money for a short stay just before or after a ferry is pretty good (just skip the breakfast as it's €5 of bread...)

We wanted a place to stay over for catching the ferry to santorini the next day. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is pretty small and the beds are ok. It's a good deal for the price and proximity to the Port. We reached the Port walking in 10 minutes. Wifi is good, very helpful people.

The location is very convenient; close to the airport, and good for a rest on a layover, which is what we needed. We arrived late; took a taxi there; and upon checking in, the agent offered to arrange a taxi back to the airport the next morning. Lovely family run hotel only 20 minute walk from the city centre. Good, clean, spacious air conditioned and with storage galore this little hotel is a great place to stay. With warning: it is under the heraklion flight path, but then everywhere in heraklion centre is. I lived under heathrow, so it actually helped me sleep haha

The hotel is located relatively close to the airport and very close to the main city road. Rooms are spacious and there is air conditioning. Spacious bathroom. Can be difficult to get a deep night rest due to hearing the aircraft very close. The beds are regular in terms of comfort.

Familiar place. Very lovely and calm place. In relation price vesus quality we recommended this hotel. It is simple hotel but is quiet, have a pool and is near the beach (350m). Our room have a fridge and it is posible to have hot water to make a tea or coffee.

The owners are giving their hearts to this business. They have the cutest dog also, who is very polite and silent. I feel like we have read so many bad comments which were undeserved for this place. You get correct value for the amount you pay, and they are not treating you less politely just because it is a 2 star place.

I really liked the people in the hotel, they are authentic and smiling with you every second while speaking, I felt at home, the pool is small but clean, my only concern is the location but you have public transportation and you can order freenow(app) as well, I really enjoyed the trip here in Crete

The room is located at the city center. It is very hard to park in this area, it is best to avoid it if you come by car. However, if coming by public transportation it is very convenient. It was clean and nice and the receptionist was very friendly. The only issues we found were the mattress being too soft and the lack of support to hang the shower while bathing.

It was conveniently located near the ferry terminal and the city center. The building was old, but the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. I was satisfied with my stay.

The location is in front of the port, so you can walk there after getting off at the port. The airport will call you a taxi for 15 euros, and there is no coffee pot in the room.

The room is relatively simple but clean, including disposable slippers. The breakfast on the 6th floor is also relatively simple, but the view is excellent. You can see the Venetian Castle on the seaside of Heraklion. It is also very close to various attractions.

The Marin Hotel is located near the ruins of the ancient city, close to the city center, and has excellent accommodation. It is very convenient to eat and shop nearby. The owner is also warm and thoughtful, the breakfast is rich and there is an unparalleled sea view.

Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Rather small balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, easy to get to the city centre (bus 1 and 20) and back (bus 6). Supermarket over the street. Short walk to the public beach. The best advantage were early breakfast hours (7-10). The pool was also nice, not many people there and suprisingly I couldn't hear the traffic from the street that much.

If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food. Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring.

The hotel entrance is not easy to find, but the island itself is not big, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. You can find the entrance by asking. It is very cost-effective and the transportation is also very convenient.

We had all family a comfortable stay with kind hostesses. The breakfast with high quality products for all tastes. And the surprise of us was the jazz bar 1866. We suggested for a nice visit on this city because you could approach the market on foot and do walks all day and night!

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok. They have their own tavern, they do everything for very good food . It was very good for us.

Very, very nice, right in the city center, about a 20-minute walk from the pier. There are plenty of restaurants in the city center. The front desk was very nice and answered all my questions. They helped print boarding passes, gave directions, and stored our luggage. Seeing that we were tired, they even checked us in early. The breakfast was also very rich. The Hotel Irakion is right in the centre of te Cretan capital. Excellent position to visit all attractions, museum, Lion Square etc or to just wander around taking in the atmosphere. There is a parking lot and it is clean and nice, but the walls are too thin so there is no soundproofing at all.

No 2 bus stops outside and goes to Knossos and back into town to the Archeological Museum. Nice restaurant is part of the property, and its staff are very helpful when you are unable to access your room. But there is no "Reception" to greet you, and if you haven`t caught up with your emails you are unable to get in. Great localization, near to the most important spots od Heraklion, room was spacious, everything was very clean. It was great that we could leave our luggage when we checked out and were going to Knossos.

The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need. Nice place for short or medium stays. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff and good location on the main strip, just 200m easy acces to beach. Breakfast basic but plenty and good quality food. Room shower is a average. Good pool but no bar really. Best to hire a car to get around as its so central you must travel out an about.

I have been coming here for several years and always found the same warm welcome. Not to speak of the super convenient location not far from the airport for overnight stays. The recent refurbishment is a welcome upgrade too. My only regret is that the snack bar has given in to the regrettable requirement for. Pizza and burgers instead of Greek food. But I still enjoyed a delicious salad.

Good choice to stop for one night

There is no better place as a hotel to be closer to the airport. Take any bus infront of the hotel and in two minutes you are there. Same thing for v.v. The Hotel is a three stars but everything works to your convinience. It's an Airport Hotel that cloce that you may also walk there. The Bar can serve you all you may need and even you may have any kind of meal from different catering places, restaurants...

The Hotel location is very close to the city center, breakfast is tasty and fresh,rooms are clean and modern, bed is very comfortable. There is an arrangement for a daily parking 1 minute walking from the hotel for 12€ daily..sure we will come again.

Wonderful modern hotel with responsive 24/7 staff. Rooms are perfectly clean, well-designed, roomy for 2 people, great water pressure in the bathroom, and quite a luxurious feel for the price. We stayed in the top floor so we had direct access to the roof deck. Easily walkable from center City and the main attractions in Heraklion. 18€ taxi from the airport. Breakfast is included and quite decent....

Lovely hotel at a fine location nearby the town centre. There are restaurants, grocery stores and shopping districts in walking distance. I arrived to the city via the bus from Chania and left the city via ferry via the harbour. although not exactly short distance but they are walkable. it is a relatively busy city and many popular restaurants are very occupied during the weekend.

Very nice place and very modern not to mention the great breakfast. My wife and stayed there for 2 nights and we needed a place close to everything and this was. I want to thank Helena for all her help and answering our daily 100 questions about where to go and what to do.

Recommend getting the breakfast included option. It's worth it! Dining and pool are located in a hotel just 2 minutes to walk from the hotel, which is right next to the beach. Really good value for money, staff were really nice. Would stay here again. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

This is nice mini hotel located on the beach just a bit outside of city centre. Rooms 401 and 402 specious and well set up. Good to stay for weekend or a week. Recommend to try.

Wish this hotel serve also lunch and dinner. ..and sell souvenir items like ballcap and coffee mugs 🍺...

When entering the room, the power should have turned on when the room key was inserted into the holder. However, it was later revealed to be a contact failure, yet they irresponsibly blamed it on a regional power supply issue.

Good hotel in Heraklion city. A bit disappointed when room was not ready even after the indicated check in time.

I loved this property. Nice breakfast offered and a comfortable room with a big king bed. The shower and toilet are in two separate closet type areas at the foot of the bed with the sink and vanity between them. A bit weird, but it works. My one complaint with this B&B as well as most of the B&B‘s in Crete was the plastic mattress protector that they use on the mattress. I can never sleep through the...

AC wasn’t working. Pillows are not comfortable but overall a very nice hotel. Staff is very nice.

The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.

Stayed there last week and we were very impressed with this little, lovely hotel. - the staff (2 brothers) very helpful and nice people - we arrived late at night (around 10 pm) and they offered us either fruit juice or water, on the house, after the long trip we did - a very nice "touch" - the room: very big, spacious, clean. the only "minuses": add more TV channels and some decorations in the room...

Nice family hotel for the travellers who look for quiet and tidy accomodation. The family members managing the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Rooms, pool and other areas are clean. Rich breakfast offer.

A nice and cozy hotel, the rooms are easily big enough for 2 people, there's even a small kitchen, fridge and balcony. The hotel personnel is very kind and not afraid to help you on your way or inform you about anything you'd like to see or visit on Crete
