This hotel is on the island and it can be said to be a very good living environment. The swimming pool is very beautiful, the breakfast is also very good, and the small bar in front of the door is full of atmosphere

The only issue I had was the smell of the towels, whatever vendor they use to wash the linens and towels, they need to change it. As the towels had a musty smell that was really awful

The staff changed my towels daily but no matter how many times they changed them, the smell was there. Other than that my stay was great

We were seven people in our group. We had an amazing stay over here very recently. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Though rooms are a bit small for our liking, they’re very nicely decorated

The hotel is in an ideal location. But I would never call this a 5 star hotel the toilet was dirty the swimming pool was small. For 5 stars i expected alot more

One of the authentic hotels in crete island. It was built in 1964 originally. Hotel staffs are friendly and professional. Only weak point is GYM 🏋️‍♀️ facilities. Relatively small and lack of machines

Smell from the gym is not good

However once we got to the hotel they told us that they have one but only a very very small one, basically they refused our car and told us to park it somewhere else

Honest decent hotel but definitely doesnt deserve 5 stars, would not go there again

Open spaces, beautiful beach, nice personnel and nice food

Great location, pet friendly with super friendly staff We stayed for 3 nights with our (small) dog. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The bed also very comfortable. The staff super friendly and helpful

What really made our stay special was the birthday package I booked through their website. Everything was perfectly arranged — we received a lovely cake, fresh flowers, wine, and festive balloons in the room

We had the all inclusive plan and the food was diverse and very tasty! The rooms are cleaned everyday and the coffee tastes heavenly on the terrace with the garden view, from where you can also see the sea

Sea is in 2-3 minutes of walking. Sandy beach, the sunbeds are paid, but there is enough place to spread a towel. We're totally satisfied with our stay here

Pros: helpful staff, wide variety of dishes, good location. Open bar, pool activities and an extraordinary party at night. The closest beach is wonderful: cheap and cozy sunbeds along with great drinks and food

Near the pool is a pool bar, it offers snacks and drinks throughout the day, we thoroughly enjoyed the crepes with chocolate sauce (there is other options) we had at least one everyday, during the evening and into the night time, they make kebabs, we also had at least one every night, they was so good!! I think it’s probably one of the foods that we’ll miss since nothing in the UK seems to compare...

The pool bar, offering a wide selection of fantastic drinks, added to the overall enjoyable experience. In summary, my seven-day stay was nothing short of amazing. I look forward to returning soon

After showering, the entire bathroom floor was flooded. I suggest the hotel separate the shower and toilet areas with a full door

Everything about the resort exceeded our expectations—professional and helpful staff, delicious breakfast menu, parking, spa services, fresh bedding and towels, complimentary wine, water, and snacks, etc

The hotel does also have a spa area with a swimming pool downstairs for which a reservation is necessary. There is no reservation fee for guests

An additional nice Pool is on the roof top with the roof top bar right next located to it. The roof top pool does not need a reservation

I would highly recommend staying at Castello if you visit Crete. I came from India and stayed here for a week. Very helpful staff (especially Harry and Eva, who helped me with getting settled here) and friendly vibe

Clean rooms and balcony with magnificent view

My stay at Castello Hotel was absolutely amazing! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-organized in every detail. The room was cozy, modern, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay

Of course, you have to take a bus from Korea to get there, but it is a satisfactory place because all buses stop at the middle of the route, and the accommodations and breakfast are all the same

I’m not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews, and I’m pretty picky about cleanliness and comfortability. Positives: clean room, somewhat modernly furnished, very kind service

The maid service system was also kind of neat, it’s a digital button inside the door instead of a placard. Tea and instant coffee are provided in the room with an electric kettle

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

We stayed at Vanisko Hotel for 3 nights. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was magnificent - fruit, vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, juice all the best quality

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

Centered in old town Athens, this is a stunning hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the view from the rooftop bar were fabulous

It was an easy walk from the port (I arrived with SeaJets), and the public bus to the Palace of Knossos was waiting for me right below the hotel the next day

We stayed in the top floor so we had direct access to the roof deck. Easily walkable from center City and the main attractions in Heraklion. Breakfast is included and quite decent

Bonus - luggage storage and an elevator! Only downside is you can hear the airplanes at all hours taking off from Herkalion, even with ear plugs

I arrived to the city via the bus from Chania and left the city via ferry via the harbour. although not exactly short distance but they are walkable

There are "public pools" which we also used, but it's a nice thing to have your own bed whenever you want to relax at the pool :) Food: The breakfast had a good choice of food (also vegan options available like marmalade and peanut butter, soy milk, fruits, vegetables and many more

We liked the dinner that was served even more as there were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from (meat was of course also available). The selection changed every day for a great variety

In the morning, we were a couple minutes late for breakfast and they had already cleaned the kitchen. The staff and receptionist brought out everything for us to enjoy the breakfast

Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, beds are not very comfy, but hey, you won't be inside for most of the time. The beach is clean and equiped with free beach chairs for guests, beach bar is just a few steps away

Food was good - we had excellent meals, also some average meals that did not match our tastebuds, but that happens everywhere. Coconut cake is to die for, on the other hand breakfasts were a bit boring

We did a few trips - and the stuff made sure we were well fed, they made early breakfasts and also lunchboxes for us. The care and thought put in the service is absolutely priceless
