Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Rather small balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, easy to get to the city centre (bus 1 and 20) and back (bus 6). Supermarket over the street. Short walk to the public beach. The best advantage were early breakfast hours (7-10). The pool was also nice, not many people there and suprisingly I couldn't hear the traffic from the street that much.

If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food. Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring.

The hotel entrance is not easy to find, but the island itself is not big, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. You can find the entrance by asking. It is very cost-effective and the transportation is also very convenient.

We had all family a comfortable stay with kind hostesses. The breakfast with high quality products for all tastes. And the surprise of us was the jazz bar 1866. We suggested for a nice visit on this city because you could approach the market on foot and do walks all day and night!

Good room for the price, only location is close to take off zone for airplanes, so a lot of noise of planes taking off , and the windows are not fully sound proof.

Nice little hotel at a good location, both close to the airport and the city center. The staff were very pleasant, with a special mention to Katerine, Who answered all our questions and even called places when we needed. The only problems was that the bathroom was a little small and the breakfast was nothing to write home about. Also you stop hearing the plane sounds after the first couple hours.

Good choice to stop for one night

Me and my partner stayed for 1 night as we were waiting for a ferry. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, they let us leave our bags in the luggage room till late at night when we had to catch our ferry. The rooms were clean we stayed in a sea view room which did not have a see view but looked out onto a block of flats. The hotel was a short walk into the centre which was packed with restaurants...

The location is central and the friendliness of the information office is top notch. The facilities were clean and there was a separate veranda where you could wash and dry your laundry, as well as a table and two chairs. The downside is that the bathroom is so small that it's difficult to turn around, and there is the inconvenience of not being able to fit your left foot into the toilet seat.

Great localization, near to the most important spots od Heraklion, room was spacious, everything was very clean. It was great that we could leave our luggage when we checked out and were going to Knossos.

The Hotel location is very close to the city center, breakfast is tasty and fresh,rooms are clean and modern, bed is very comfortable. There is an arrangement for a daily parking 1 minute walking from the hotel for 12€ daily..sure we will come again.

Wonderful modern hotel with responsive 24/7 staff. Rooms are perfectly clean, well-designed, roomy for 2 people, great water pressure in the bathroom, and quite a luxurious feel for the price. We stayed in the top floor so we had direct access to the roof deck. Easily walkable from center City and the main attractions in Heraklion. 18€ taxi from the airport. Lovely hotel at a fine location nearby the town centre. There are restaurants, grocery stores and shopping districts in walking distance. I arrived to the city via the bus from Chania and left the city via ferry via the harbour. although not exactly short distance but they are walkable. it is a relatively busy city and many popular restaurants are very occupied during the weekend.

Very nice place and very modern not to mention the great breakfast. My wife and stayed there for 2 nights and we needed a place close to everything and this was. I want to thank Helena for all her help and answering our daily 100 questions about where to go and what to do.

The staff was very nice. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also great and with a nice view. The bathroom looks a bit older. Probably they renovated only the rooms. The air-conditioning was working a bit strange, maybe had some technical issue.

We only stayed for one night, it is simple, but nice. Near the city center, the fortress, the bus station, the harbour. The view from the restaurant is amazing.

The hotel is a bit off the pedestrian city center but within walking distance to the bus stop to Knossos and the main bus station. The breakfast is served on the sixth floor with nice views of the port. Unfortunately, the breakfast room is not open-air, and there is freezing air conditioning. Very, very nice, right in the city center, about a 20-minute walk from the pier. There are plenty of restaurants in the city center. The front desk was very nice and answered all my questions. The Hotel Irakion is right in the centre of te Cretan capital. Excellent position to visit all attractions, museum, Lion Square etc or to just wander around taking in the atmosphere. Great location within walking distance of the bus stop, ferry port and old Town at a very reasonable price. I would recommend only if you are there for one day or night and have to catch the ferry in the morning as location is very good and close to port as well as local transport bus station and airport ! We were in triple room. Price seems very high compared to room size and kind. The bathroom area for shower was very congested only 1 or 1.5 feet in length..the lift is very small it can accommodate either...

Perfect for night next to the airport. 5 minute drive from Heraklion Aiport and super friendly staff with a 24hr desk. Have stayed here a few times and each was great. The rooms are simply, but clean and tidy. The pool and breakfast are spot on. The staff are happy to provide details for local restaurants that can deliver food if you want something not on the hotel menu.

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance. The balcony was far too narrow, and there was only one folding chair that fit across the room, so it was impossible to chill on the balcony in the evening for two. The shower was very small and the water spilled out. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was really friendly. Everything was close: a supermarket, a restaurant, and a café, and it was only about 3 minutes to the beach.

Nice hotel, room was pretty but the bathroom was far too small. Toilet impossible to use due to space. Owner is nice but cleaners talk about you behind your back. Breakfast poor quality all the food was cold.

Everything is fine. Clean rooms, cleaned every day. Hotel territory is neat and beautiful. There is enough food both in the morning and in the evening. Our stay at Tsagarakis Beach was exactely what we were looking for. A family hotel directely at the beach with a nice swimmingpool. The hosts treated us like family members and really spoiled us! The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need. The owner put a lot of heart into his family business. One can see many lovely traditional decorations and well maintained plants. This is not a luxurary hotel for parties but I find it very pleasent for family vacations...

A very good location, if you don't want to be staying in the center of Heraklio and want to be by the beach. Nice sea breeze from all of the rooms. A must, if you're a fun of the '70s, w antique furniture, and grate collection of old dolls. Very nice pool for when it's windy at the beach.

This is nice mini hotel located on the beach just a bit outside of city centre. Rooms 401 and 402 specious and well set up. Good to stay for weekend or a week. Recommend to try.

We had a really enjoyable holiday here at ideal accommodation for our needs as a family of three. The apartment was spacious, with two bedrooms, a kitchen area, bathroom with good hot water, two balconies and was excellent value for money. Nice place for a walk or seeing the beautiful river of Almyros

Prices much better than the supermarket in the hotel. The lady there was happy to split certain packs of things that we didn't need 5 of. Would be 5* if we didn't need to carry a buggy up a flight of stairs to get in.

The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.

This fantastic country hotel and the family who owns it is worth a stay. We dont want to go home and the term "hygge" is the definition of our holiday here. The children loves it, food, drinks, pool, location and service is perfect.
