The review is just so so and the pool is quite small. Location is great , easy to walk to the museum, central bus station and the old town area. Don't expect it as a 5 star hotel, then everything will be ok.

The hotel has a large, welcoming, bright and modern reception extending down to a large bar and seating area and off the other end, is the restaurant, external courtyard and stairs down to the gym

The hotel looks a bit dated but still okay. The staff are very nice and warm. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a wide variety. Room was clean and spacious.

The hotel is very good, just a dozen minutes walk from the museum! Hygiene: Very good! Environment: Comfortable! In the central city, there are dedicated parking spaces, which is very convenient for travel! The price-performance ratio of the room is also very high, and the breakfast is also very good!

The range of choice and quality of service was very good. All in all the Aquila Atlantis Hotel was a great choice and we would not hesitate staying there again

Everything is very good, the staff is nice, the room has everything you need, the only thing I didn't like was the food in terms of taste, it was very restaurant-like, it was beautiful but not very tasty, the drinks were very expensive, while a can of Fanta cost 1

Great affordable place to act as a base while in Herlakion. Rooms are not the fanciest in the world, but the air conditioning worked, the beds were clean, and the breakfast was included. Can't complain.

The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk to the Heraklion Museum and local buses to Knossos, with a taxi station right across the street and the central bus station within walking distance, making it ideal for exploring the area

Breakfast was a real highlight, offering fresh food, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs cooked to your preference. On two early excursion days, the team kindly prepared generous lunch bags to keep us fuelled while out and about

We stayed here in September 2024 for three nights with two other couples. Great location in the center within walking distance to everything, including the archeological museum shopping, the harbor

Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and fully accessible, complete with a balcony that offered stunning views over the city and harbour

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

No bath plug but I made do with some quickly googled tricks to make one!) towels provided also and a light blanket for each person should they needed more heat

My first time in Greece and this hotel and staff made me feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

And can I explain how amazing the location is located! It has a supermarket and mini market next to it with a nice restaurant which have some nice gyros, All I can say is i totally recommend this place, Thank you for this lovely experience for our first time in Greece!

It was extremely noisy. Insulation is very poor and the room was directly on the round about. Traffic was dense until 1.30am.

Of course, you have to take a bus from Korea to get there, but it is a satisfactory place because all buses stop at the middle of the route, and the accommodations and breakfast are all the same

Of course, the price is also very satisfactory. If I come to Crete again next time, I definitely want to stay here again

Nice premium bungalows with plenty of space for 3 persons. Nice beach with free sunbeds and good service if you want to order drinks and snacks. All the staff were friendly and helpful

When we arrived at the hotel before 10 am, we were invited to breakfast, which we were not yet entitled to, and a full table of postponed food was waiting for us, because breakfast time was already ending

At the end of the holiday, after the rooms were vacated, we were given a free room in the early evening after a whole day on the beach before leaving for the airport to shower and pack our luggage

My wife and I traveled around Crete for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It’s cozy, historic and luxurious. Their breakfast was also possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had anywhere.

Room was large and clean, with a beautiful view of the port. The hotel is well-maintained and has an interesting history. Staff was very helpful in learning about local attractions and how to get there.

We have been at Marirena Hotel just some days ago and I would like to underline that everything was perfect. I was surprised because lots of people sent descriptions that are not real

For breakfast, sandwiches, boiled eggs, toast, pastries, yogurt with many different condiments. Dinner is delicious, different every day. Close to the beach with beautiful sunrises

It a clean, friendly place and staf. The room was clean and the staff was cleaning it every day. No far from the beach and from the agreements also

just had 2 weeks at the hotel Castro-we arrived around midnight but was still offered a meal- with me being in a wheelchair I requested a ground floor pool view and that's what we got- the air con didn't work but he sorted it out there and then-clean towels and sheets daily- food was lovely- cant understand anyone complaining-if I didn't feel like a hot meal they would do me something else all we had...

I booked a half-board arrangement (so breakfast and dinner) and while breakfast wasn't the most exciting (mostly due to my own preferences, they had different items available, I am just a bit picky when it comes to breakfast), dinner was served from the menu of the excellent attached restaurant (restaurant Maxim)

While I did enjoy the half-board arrangement, ordering a la carte is a recommendation! They were even kind enough to let me keep my salad from the half-pension when I did! Back to the hotel: Rooms are cleaned daily and the hotel itself looks clean and tidy

If you have your room on the ground floor, attached to the hallway to the restaurant and you sleep lightly, you might have some trouble with that

My only note would be the lack of a door between the restaurant and the hallway to the rooms to limit the noise from the restaurant

I personally did not see or use the swimming pool (oops) as I was too busy travelling about and just went to the beach to swim

The room is relatively simple but clean, including disposable slippers. The breakfast on the 6th floor is also relatively simple, but the view is excellent. You can see the Venetian Castle on the seaside of Heraklion

The owner is also warm and thoughtful, the breakfast is rich and there is an unparalleled sea view

The Marin Hotel is located near the ruins of the ancient city, close to the city center, and has excellent accommodation. It is very convenient to eat and shop nearby

The room and the bathroom were clean. The breakfast was also great and with a nice view. The bathroom looks a bit older. Probably they renovated only the rooms

The air-conditioning was working a bit strange, maybe had some technical issue

It is also very close to various attractions

Very basic amenities but a very friendly friend desk who helped us with various issues we had and found space for us in the night when we were stranded at the airport! Fairly cheap, clean, close to the airport, no complaints at all!

I cannot fault the service at this hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night having had our flight home cancelled and they could not have been more accommodating

Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless and having only been there half a night they offered to have our luggage for the day so we could spend the day in town

We wanted a place to stay over for catching the ferry to santorini the next day. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is pretty small and the beds are ok. It's a good deal for the price and proximity to the Port

Swimming in the sea is the best though, even if it's very salty here. It's all very mellow and relaxing

You can hear the planes arriving at the nearby airport quite well, but they don't bother me, plane watching can be fun 😀 Food is great as well! The a la carte restaurant that can be visited all inclusive once per week stay is a highlight, but the buffet has great choices as well!

Food is always fresh but may lack variety, but there is always something local next to the continental buffet. Rooms are freshly renovated and adequate. The pure sand beach is literally just falling down the stairs away

Visited the Sentido Unique Blue resort with great pleasure. First and foremost the staff is extremely polite, helpful and above all good humoured

Best decision of the vacation so far. Within a couple minutes you can be in the heart of Heraklion with a lot of restaurants to choose from. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I've ever seen in a hotel

A very good location, if you don't want to be staying in the center of Heraklio and want to be by the beach. Nice sea breeze from all of the rooms

The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need

The owner put a lot of heart into his family business. One can see many lovely traditional decorations and well maintained plants

This is not a luxurary hotel for parties but I find it very pleasent for family vacations. The sunset from balcony is a plus!

The hotel is super clean and also the reception is kind. The breakfast is very strict to alternatives and the stuff there not warm at all I felt they are almost desperate. It's a very good option for the budget

Free sunbeds and umbrellas, pool is large and up to 2,90m deep. Included breakfast typically Greek: olives, feta, watermelon, yoghurt and honey,. Furthermore two types of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, scrambled eggs

3 minutes to the beach: ammos beach bar sells TWO sunbeds and umbrella for 3€ daily - incredible. There are also pavillons for 10€, and you get fruits, juice and water. Some nice restaurants and shops around

A very nice Hotel, clean and fresh, with excellent service, and the beautiful garden with huge and sheltered swimming pool.

Pool bar was open every day (serving drinks, Greek snacks, icecream, coffee; also pasta), and VERY cheap: ouzo 1,50€ ? Pool open from 1000-2000, no night swimming, quite common times

Lovely quiet place, ideal for family. Cozy place. Friendly and kind stuff. Clear rooms. The street is really noisy, but it wasn't problem for us :). Just enjoy everything else!

Rooms including safes, but are only powered with the room key, which you can't leave there (to charge devices), but it's even better so in the holidays
