I was really pleased with my stay at Aquila Atlantis hotel. Staff and the management extremely nice and helpful! Excellent breakfast. Perfect location - Restaurants and historical landmarks nearby

Big thank yo u to the lady who cooked our omelette every morning. In fact a big thank you to all the staff from the maids who make the beds to the waiters and front desk workers

- A special shout out to the friendly older doorman and the gentleman behind the bar. You're a credit! - Most Staff were *generally welcoming and helpful - Live Music in the evenings was quite nice

Room: Top Floor Deluxe Room, Harbour Pros - Nicely spaced out room - Balcony was large but not exactly harbour facing. It was quite far to your left but still a nice view

The hotel itself is a somewhat older building, but appears to have had some modernisation work done, although a bit more is required to be able to justify a 5-star rating

It's almost directly underneath the flight path with planes taking off throughout day and night. The breakfasts are wonderful with a wide selection of fresh foods

We were seven people in our group. We had an amazing stay over here very recently. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Though rooms are a bit small for our liking, they’re very nicely decorated

It has a really nice pool, but there are limited seating and sun beds. Would stay at this hotel again

Continues to the fun pool which is open from eight in the morning to eight in the evening, very convenient hours. Continues by saying that the hotel is sparkling clean and beautifully and elegantly designed

We had a family room, which was quite nice and spacious with an extra bed, seating area and with a bathtub. The breakfast was nice but not very expansive

If we would have known that there are no baby seats available we would have taken ours from home. A longer stay in the room on the departure day was not possible although we are civitel members

Most of the service personal was very nice. Although we booked a taxi service with a baby seat via reception and didn’t get a seat so that we had to drive with our little one on our lap

That was not that bad, although it would be easier for our baby to have a proper day time sleep, the problem was, that the receptionist wasn’t very keen to explain why we couldn’t have the room until our departure time

Then go and pour into a carafe (1l). In the vacant bottle pour at the restaurant drinking water. But in General, everything is wonderful and friendly

I would say all in all I do recommend the hotel and I liked our stay. The bungalow was very new and beautiful. Although it could have been cleaner when we arrived and during our stay

There was little friendliness and service from the first man we met at reception. There was another one later that was a little more pleasant, but overall a hotel I will avoid the next time.

Budget hotel. Clean, central for Heraklion Town. Bit noisy at night, but it can't be helped as you are smack in the centre of town.Good value for money.

We stayed for 1 day, the room was stuffy with an air-con that on full speed didn’t do much. Surprisingly the bathroom was brand new, the rest of the room looked like it has seen better days

Also, beds aren't military thin, and are quite comfortable actually -I don't know if they have accessible rooms for wheelchairs or disabled people but the room I was in was not -a bit of noise is to be expected since you're in the center, and one of the most animated places in Iraklio, but I personally like it because it shows the place lives -the receptionist is actually quite nice if you speak to...

Great small hotel in the mid-center of Iraklio/Herakleion. Quite new furniture and clean bath. Only wish I didn't have to leave and take the key every time I went outside

Kind of awkward if you forget something and just left. Nowhere to dry or wash clothes, but that's normal for a hotel

Me and my family with a 4-year-old boy really cannot criticize anything. Towel changes and room service daily!!! One of the best hotels where I have personally been in Greece and we've visited lots of islands

We have been at Marirena Hotel just some days ago and I would like to underline that everything was perfect. I was surprised because lots of people sent descriptions that are not real

Very friendly staff, perfect position near the beach, nice dinner with rice, pasta, meat and fish, lots of salads and vegetables. I really cannot understand why lots of people said never again

Decent, clean rooms, free Wi-Fi but too modest and monotonous breakfasts and not always adequate dinners with a stingy owner who doesn't like his guests

The shower is in the middle of the bedroom which is a bit odd. We were on the 4th floor which had a great view of the sea/port. Lots of bakeries and other restaurants nearby!

Rooms were beautiful and well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was incredible! Staff very pleasant and helpful with local recommendations. We would most definitely return and stay here again when we return

Amazing front desk service - they helped us with everything from needing extra towels to getting a rental car to getting us transport to the port. Note that they offer shampoo and shower gel, but no conditioner

We stayed here in September 2024 for three nights with two other couples. Great location in the center within walking distance to everything, including the archeological museum shopping, the harbor

Rooms were pretty but cramped and small. A small shower stood in the corner of the bedroom. Thank goodness the toilet was in a separate room but you practically had to stand on the toilet to close and open the door

Getting rides and taxis is a little tricky, given they can't pick you up or drop you off right in front of the hotel. Most of the restaurants more well known are located closer to the water, not near by

If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food

Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring

We then found we needed to be here for another 3 nights. The man at the reception was extremely helpful with getting hold of easy jet etc and securing us a place to stay for the next 3 nights

The room we were then put in was nice. There is a weird musty smell as you walk in, the shower is a wet room but doesn’t actually drain properly. Lunch is just spaghetti, sauce and some meat

We came to this hotel for 4 nights due to our easy jet flight being cancelled. Our first room was extremely basic and not the nicest but did the job for an emergency room

The juice machine doesn’t work and just pours water. It’s a lovely area though, beautiful beach, big supermarket across the road and some lovely restaurants around

The staff is friendly and professional, the food great, the view fantastic, room cleaning and change of towels every day. I recommend staying at this hotel

The beach is a little far away but you can get there with the bus ( 20 min) and the bus stops are conveniently situated next to the hotel

It was extremely noisy. Insulation is very poor and the room was directly on the round about. Traffic was dense until 1.30am.

Room is neat, cleanliness might be reinforced. Staff is mostly welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast with a good view of the city. Value for money.

We arrived late at night from the airport to stay for one night and we saw the comments on Google before :) The hotel is old and needs maintenance (some of the comments here are completely correct ) !! in my opinion it depends a lot on what you are looking for

if it is a night's stay and moving on it is perfectly fine but for a vacation I would not recommend!! and of course everything depending on the price (the price per night at the hotel is very reasonable compared to the other hotels in the area)

3 minutes to the beach: ammos beach bar sells TWO sunbeds and umbrella for 3€ daily - incredible. There are also pavillons for 10€, and you get fruits, juice and water. Some nice restaurants and shops around

Pool bar was open every day (serving drinks, Greek snacks, icecream, coffee; also pasta), and VERY cheap: ouzo 1,50€ ? Pool open from 1000-2000, no night swimming, quite common times

Free sunbeds and umbrellas, pool is large and up to 2,90m deep. Included breakfast typically Greek: olives, feta, watermelon, yoghurt and honey,. Furthermore two types of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, scrambled eggs

Lovely quiet place, ideal for family. Cozy place. Friendly and kind stuff. Clear rooms. The street is really noisy, but it wasn't problem for us :). Just enjoy everything else!

Rooms including safes, but are only powered with the room key, which you can't leave there (to charge devices), but it's even better so in the holidays

My wife and I traveled around Crete for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. It’s cozy, historic and luxurious. Their breakfast was also possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve had anywhere.

The rooftop pool was another fantastic feature, offering a serene escape with breathtaking views over the city and the sea

Room was large and clean, with a beautiful view of the port. The hotel is well-maintained and has an interesting history. Staff was very helpful in learning about local attractions and how to get there.

The Megaron was absolutely wonderful. From the spaces where you can sit and relax (the "living room" or the sundeck) to our room, everything was clean and beautiful. The staff was always welcoming and helpful

Room was well air conditioned, we had a very large balcony, our room was the very end of the hallway, so our balcony was L shaped (big plus)

Great hotel with friendly staff who gladly help you out. I stayed over for six days and arrived around 22:00

I booked a half-board arrangement (so breakfast and dinner) and while breakfast wasn't the most exciting (mostly due to my own preferences, they had different items available, I am just a bit picky when it comes to breakfast), dinner was served from the menu of the excellent attached restaurant (restaurant Maxim)

While I did enjoy the half-board arrangement, ordering a la carte is a recommendation! They were even kind enough to let me keep my salad from the half-pension when I did! Back to the hotel: Rooms are cleaned daily and the hotel itself looks clean and tidy

The beach is closeby (walking distance), there's a bus stop for the local bus service right in front of the hotel (with the name of the hotel) and there's plenty of small shops nearby to get those last items you need

Staff at the reception can help you with your questions and if you still want to go on any excursions, they will be glad to help you out via their connection with Tourline. Overall, just a great experience

We stayed at the Atron Hotel crete half board and I think its one of the best hotel we have stayed in, the hotel is immaculate not one thing out of place, our room was very large with a small kitchen with was great for putting our drinks in the fridge, there was a meal in the fridge for us on our first day, ( never had that before) we had a very large balcony with a table and two chairs

The hotel put on a Greek night, there was singing, dancing and traditional Greek food, also an International night with music and food Elena from the dining room was brilliant she was helping everyone making sure they were having a good time, she was so kind too

The hotel offers GREAT breakfast (ten out of ten) with a variety of sweets made by the locals and the people working there were extremely kind and helpful. It is a value for money hotel which is certainly recommended

We stayed at the hotel on March. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a minute walking distance from the old town and the city center of Heraklion. Our room was perfectly clean and came with a balcony

Great affordable place to act as a base while in Herlakion. Rooms are not the fanciest in the world, but the air conditioning worked, the beds were clean, and the breakfast was included. Can't complain.

This place offers an excellent value for the price! The location is 2 mins walk from the Venetian waterfront, fort, walkway and excellent restaurants as well as 10 mins from the airport for convenience

Very central and close to Port and shops. Easy to walk to Port. About 5 minutes walk with luggage. Clean and neat. Helpful reception.

The room and the bathroom were clean. The breakfast was also great and with a nice view. The bathroom looks a bit older. Probably they renovated only the rooms

The hotel is well located, closer to the airport and port as well as walking distance from main attractions of the city. Rooms are a bit small but great value for money. The sea view rooms are nicer though

But above all, the staff has been excellent. Extremely supportive and always treating us with a smile

Very basic amenities but a very friendly friend desk who helped us with various issues we had and found space for us in the night when we were stranded at the airport! Fairly cheap, clean, close to the airport, no complaints at all!

I cannot fault the service at this hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night having had our flight home cancelled and they could not have been more accommodating

Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless and having only been there half a night they offered to have our luggage for the day so we could spend the day in town

We wanted a place to stay over for catching the ferry to santorini the next day. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is pretty small and the beds are ok. It's a good deal for the price and proximity to the Port

Swimming in the sea is the best though, even if it's very salty here. It's all very mellow and relaxing

You can hear the planes arriving at the nearby airport quite well, but they don't bother me, plane watching can be fun 😀 Food is great as well! The a la carte restaurant that can be visited all inclusive once per week stay is a highlight, but the buffet has great choices as well!

Food is always fresh but may lack variety, but there is always something local next to the continental buffet. Rooms are freshly renovated and adequate. The pure sand beach is literally just falling down the stairs away

Visited the Sentido Unique Blue resort with great pleasure. First and foremost the staff is extremely polite, helpful and above all good humoured

Very clean rooms spacious balcony powerful showers with plentiful hot water good breakfast friendly helpfull staff. I had a hot chocolate from the bar in the night and it was only 3€ so not at all over priced

Best decision of the vacation so far. Within a couple minutes you can be in the heart of Heraklion with a lot of restaurants to choose from. The room was one of the cleanest rooms I've ever seen in a hotel

Check in service was quite demanding requiring identity cards for all persons of a family reminding police identification process, breakfast was adequate, but lack of free parking for residents in such central location is a minus

A very good location, if you don't want to be staying in the center of Heraklio and want to be by the beach. Nice sea breeze from all of the rooms

The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need

Great value for money. Breakfast was cool, bed was cosy. Room was clean, but floor a bit dirty. Everything was fine. If you are with a little kid or a bad sleeper, strong noise from the street could be a problem.

Everything we required for a one night stay in Heraklion. Bus or taxi distance from the airport, very close proximity to bars, restaurants and shops including a nice area around the Morosini Fountain

Breakfast was buffet style, tomatoes, olives, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, honey, bread, small croissants, cheese, ham, coffee, cereals etc. 24 hour check in and very helpful Staff

The hotel is super clean and also the reception is kind. The breakfast is very strict to alternatives and the stuff there not warm at all I felt they are almost desperate. It's a very good option for the budget
