Reviews
There are 3 big pools to choose from, but their favourite was the top pool with the jacuzzi.
There are also two snack bars open throughout the day with one offering fresh Gyros. These were a great hit with them all.
The only reason for the 4 star was the lack of room for clothes. The wardrobe space was really small and wouldn't have been big enough for my husband and I never mind the children too.
The rooms are pretty basic but we didn't mind, we were only in the rooms to shower and sleep.
The animals at the hotel were a big hit too, the donkeys, goats, chicken, ducks and turtles. We loved visiting them most days.
There is also a free shuttle bus by the hotel to take you to the star beach which also has a few water slides which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was €10 each for the full day. If you wanted the sunbeds at star beach these were at a fee.
The food is okay, pretty much what you expect for an all inclusive family holiday. Plenty to choose from and the grills are cooked fresh along with omelettes.
The staff were always lovely and friendly and always happy to help.
To keep 3 teenagers happy can be a challenge in itself but they were all happy and didn't want to come home.
Would definitely recommend visiting.
I recently stayed at the Belvedere Imperial All Inclusive resort in Greece, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The food was absolutely terrible—lacking flavor, texture, and presentation. The smell of old, stale food lingered throughout the hotel, especially near the pool, where the snack bar was serving greasy, unappetizing meals.
The safety and accessibility of the hotel were also major concerns. There was no sense of security around the property, and access to different parts of the hotel felt unsafe. Upon checkout, we wanted to store our luggage securely, only to discover that there was no real control over the storage room. Anyone could access it, as there were no surveillance cameras, and if you wanted to lock any valuables, you'd have to pay extra for tiny lockers that couldn’t even fit a small handbag.
The service in the restaurant was by far one of the worst I have ever experienced. If you wanted to sit on the terrace, you were responsible for setting your own table. After doing this repeatedly throughout my stay, on the last day, a waiter rudely snatched the utensils out of my hands, claiming I was "doing his job"—a job that, curiously, was never done on the previous days! Where was this efficiency when it was actually needed?
The rooms and common areas were poorly cleaned and in desperate need of renovation. Everything in the hotel felt old and worn out. Despite paying for an All-Inclusive experience, almost every extra activity and any traditional Greek products came with an additional charge.
To sum it up, this resort fails in every aspect: terrible food, poor service, lack of security, and outdated facilities. This was by far the worst resort I’ve ever stayed in, and it should not be considered a 4-star establishment. This review comes not only from my experience as a guest but also from my professional background in the hospitality industry.
Avoid this place if you can!!!
The hotel's description is completely misleading. They claim it's just 500 meters to the beach, but in reality, it's a whopping 4 kilometers away. The swimming pool was always packed, with no sunbeds or umbrellas available, leaving us to bake in the sun. The room was dirty and we found hair of the previous guests all over. The food was completely tasteless, and the staff were shockingly rude. When we voiced our concerns about the terrible conditions, we were sent to the manager, who turned out to be just as rude and utterly incompetent. This person had zero problem-solving abilities and offered no solutions whatsoever. To make matters worse, they made us pay for the towels—even though we had booked an "all-inclusive" package. In fact, despite the "all-inclusive" label, they made us pay for lots of other things as well. This place is ridiculously overpriced with absolutely zero quality. I would never, ever book this hotel again!
Ones. It’s a large, all inclusive hotel so you have to expect it to be busy. All pools were clean and well maintained. Did struggle to find sunbeds some days as people would ‘reserve’ them. And by that I mean leave their towels on them overnight or get up early to put towels down!
Room was clean and cleaners came every day and did a thorough job.
Food served all day and lots of choice, however, quality isn’t amazing and did become a bit bland and boring as it’s lots of the same things everyday. But again, this is to be expected in a large all inclusive hotel. However, both the Asian and Greek restaurants included were nice although not overly child friendly.
Shops and beach within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Definitely worth venturing out of the resort. Overall it was a pleasant holiday and we would consider revisiting!
- we were told we could book a meal at two of their 3 themed on site restaurants. We were only able to book one as the others were fully booked even though we tried to book on the second day of our trip. When we visited the Greek restaurant the menu was limited and one of the meals was not available. Our children struggled to choose and we rushed out to use the normal restaurant.
- sun beds a huge problem unless you are willing to get up before 6 am on your holiday. Hotel ignore the issue.
- the walk to the beach involves crossing a very busy road and the hill is very steep.
- our son is lactose intolerant and we were given the opportunity to complete a form to ensure he had options each day. Poor communication between duty manager and kitchen caused a number of issues and left us frustrated and disappointed.
- the room that we were initially allocated was dated and not appealing and not what we had booked. The second room was better and the cleaner was friendly each day.
- the entertainment was quite boring and with so many people around it was difficult to get a seat.
Wonderful facilities but really felt let down after our visit.
On arrival at the Belvedere we entered the reception and has a issue immediately. They had got our rooms mixed up . The ended up giving my sister a room with a double bed . This was not okay because she was with her 18 year old son. They obviously needed separate beds. After this issue was sorted out. We got to the rooms that were standard. The speciality restaurants were okay nothing was fantastic though . The still gave you the standard wine and if you wanted better quality wine you had to pay for it . Not to mention that we had already paid for all inclusive. Food overall in the hotel was standard. Pools were great except they did use salt water so your eyes would constantly be stinging. I would not give this a 4 star. It’s a 3 . Overall the staff were good but a few members were a bit rude. One bartender decided to come along and take my drink off me whilst sitting at the bar. Despite the cup being full . Other members of staff didn’t listen when you were speaking to them . They just ignored you then asked you to repeat yourself. Overall I would give the hotel a 3 star. Food - 3 star -rooms - 3 star - hygiene- 4 star- location 4- star.
Unfortunately the cocktails and wine in the all inclusive program were undrinkable. This should definitely be improved.
We stayed end of October, so the hotel was not full. Maybe a little more attention to cleanliness to the pool areas would be nice
Rooms cleaned daily and towels replaced daily along with bedding.
No problem finding a sunbed around the pools or you can tuck yourself away on a raised terrace area away from the pools.
Entertainment staff work hard all day firstly with the children and then later with the evening entertainment.
Some rooms are down the lot of steps and while there are some ramps they're fairly steep.
They have a little traditional Greek restaurant on site that you can book in to which is lovely too.
The restaurant manager, Kostas, is always asking if there is anything that is not good...which is good as it shows he's always looking to be better.
They provide a free shuttle to the nearest beach and a taxi to the local port/harbour is 8-10 euros.
Overall had a great holiday and would definitely return.
Thank you to all the staff for a great 2 weeks.
