The most annoying thing during our holidays was the silent fight for sunbeds. The hotel has a no-reservation policy, a lot of signs everywhere, but the policy is not enforced

Hi everyone, We spent 7 days here for the second time. I would say it's not an accident. Honestly, I would come here in every year if I could do. Why? Because, it's perfect choice for real 5 stars lover

So when you have a 600+ rooms resort and a limited number of sunbeds, you must enforce the no reservation policy. The beach is fine, but there are huge underwater rocks near the shore when you get into the sea

The hotel is beautiful, with such a Greek feel around the place, beautiful plants everywhere. The pools are so clean & the water park is amazing for all ages. Me and my husband love the slides

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The food, especially the meals at the restaurant, was absolutely amazing—every dish was delicious and exceeded our expectations

The hotel complex is large with a number of pools including adult area (that you don't need to pay extra for so parents can take advantage of some quiet time whilst the children are in kids club) family and splash pool

The pools are all cold but as I said on a boiling hot day it's quite nice. The beach chair "reservation" is ridiculous since people are putting towels down and not coming back for hours

Have just returned from a 7 day break at the Caldera Palace with the wife my son his fiancée and my 3 yr old grand daughter We had rooms 8001 family swim up and 8002 double swim up Room was large massive queen size bed and brim on all inc was nice to have a complimentary bottle of wine along with the mini bar that was replenished each day Food in the main restaurant was really good with a vast selection...

Huge room(1110) huge balcony. Food excellent, very clean. Great amenities. Quiet and not much pool entertainment through the day. . This is a review compared to other greek all inclusive large hotels.

The rooms are spotless and clean, the staff are very helpful and we loved the waiter service for drinks by the pool. We have visited twice and enjoyed both holidays

Sometimes you get coffee from a push button machine, also gross. Then at breakfast you can be served what I think is filter? Could be wrong but regardless, it's disgusting. So apart from the coffee, great hotel

The territory is very attractive and green, cascading, if there are problems with the ODA, you need to take this into account! Meals: as for me - everything was very tasty, there were more than enough fruits and vegetables, desserts were delicious

The large PLUS beach and the main pool are separated by wind protection, which is very important when the wind blows from the sea

The beach is small, small pebbles, the entry is comfortable, but there are stones (further inland). Rooms: all are simple in design, but at the same time comfortable and have everything you need

In July many tourists so early in the morning the pool chairs are occupied until the evening, but the sea is very close! Good location, not very noisy, but the centre of the resort

Hotel partially renovated- reception and restaurant. Rooms were not renovated however they were cleaned every single day + air condition, TV, fridge available in the room. Very good diverse food in buffet style

Really enjoyed our vacation in July. We visited with our toddler, and it was overall perfect. We had our own private pool, which was awesome as we could still chill by the pool when our son was taking naps

The busy center of Hersonissos was only a 10 min drive away, (but we barely noticed the party teenagers in our town :) Same for the sea side; A lovely lady from Restaurant David recommended us to go to Pathos beach (which was just 25 min by car)

Our room upgrade greatly mitigated the disappointment of our canceled flight. Our further stay at Mika Villas was also very pleasant! The breakfast was good, the whole staff team was friendly and the location was great

Great bar waitress and restaurant staff. Opportunity for test before return flight daily in hotel. Shame people leaving towels on empty sunbeds around pool and grounds. Advised not, but no-one checks

The only place you could use it was in the main lobby and even there the connection wasn't perfect. The pool was full of chemicals and hurt your face and eyes after 10 minutes. Otherwise it was amazing and beautiful

There is nice swimmingpools and litte beach in front of hotel. Beach is not like one of the great greece beaches, but very suitable, if you have a small child, because the sea is not deep at that point

The room was clean and spacious, the swimming pools well maintained (my 4 year old son loved the kid's pool), the staff were very nice and helpful and the kid's entertainers were fantastic

The problem is the hotel's beach, which has wet sand all day, probably because of the nearby port, and in front of the sunbeds it is full of holes with water that drains to the sea, a rather unpleasant image, this is not how a beach should look

My husband and I love Greece 🇬🇷 a lot, our favourite restaurants are Greek restaurant in Germany 🇩🇪, so we decided to go there as our honeymoon 👰🏻‍♀️ 🤵🏼‍♂️ so Crete was the best option and we chose Sol Marina beach hotel, one of the best one based on what we read, and based on what we experienced 😍, very friendly employees, so clean, tidy, and the environment is so beautiful

The rooms are cleaned, the pool water is also always clean. The breakfast consists of local products(lots of sweet stuff). She is always happy to help you and tries to make your stay as pleasant as possible

The pools and sheer size of the place means it really takes days to see it all. The food is the best we've had in a hotel never mind all inclusive

One of our party is coeliac and the meals are made personally and brought to the table. Absolute must for families!!! Hotel grounds are well tended to. Flumes are fab for the kids! Will book again when we get back

The only downside was the reception staff were unhelpful. We asked 3 or 4 basic questions over the week and each time they would say we don’t know and move on to the next person. This really let the resort down

Our room had a 'picture postcard', perfect sea-view and whilst the view might have been better from the suite above but then the extra flight of stairs! As beautiful as our room may have been, the real joy was the product of all the hard work from the staff and management

Just a 20 minute ride from the airport, and right on the beach. The food was so fresh, healthy and gorgeous - every meal. Lots of choice to be fair. The bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and I will go again.

On the positive side, the food at the hotel was quite good for an all-inclusive experience. There was a decent variety of dishes, and the quality was consistent

However, we felt that the dining area could benefit from more seating and a wider selection of food options, especially during peak meal times when it tended to get a bit crowded

All rooms are organized in a semicircle around multiple large pools, some with sea water and some with fresh water. There are ample and very comfortable pool chairs everywhere with shading umbrellas

They are modern and equiped with small refrigerators, and a small safe. The bottom level rooms have a small pool connected to the rooms

Pools were very cold but plenty of sunbeds and pools around. The indoor pool was very welcome as it was warm. The gym is very good! The rooms are very nice, plenty of room

This time we have booked all-inclusive deal with Laguna Resort in Crete and as expected it was one more unforgettable experience!!! Everything was just so amazingly welcoming - the facilities, well-maintained room, huge swimming pools and recreation areas, tennis courts, the gym, reach food and beverage menu in the main dining room and on-site restaurants

The only downsides were the salt water pools and the food not accommodating for children. Apart from that we had an amazing time!!

We have just returned home from a week here and I wish I could have stayed longer! We were worried as we had seen so many bad reviews but this hotel is absolutely lovely

Pool fresh sea water and cleaned daily was so refreshing after the warm sun with plenty of sun beds to choose from and kids loving the slides. Food was tasty and so much choice for all including 2 fussy eaters

Great hotel with friendly and polite staff, with fantastic facilities and multiple pools. However if you want the beach you'll need to get the free shuttle bus to the golden beach, approximately 5 minutes away

All inclusive* (*from 10:30 to 22:30) The hotel overall is good, could be great but there is just too much unnecessary annoyance especially bad micromanaging and it's more suited for families or older people

For lunch and diner waterbottles are possible but you can't get a bottle at breakfast, just tiny glasses. You have to ask the person at the pool bar afterwards, but the pool bar is closed till 10:30

That might be my best experience so far. Friendly and kind stuff and delicious food! The dinner experience is fantastic. Every day we got new surprises like wine tasting or even national dance performance

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

The waves and wind but the sea and the beach is clean and really warm on the beach with sunbeds wielding nasty Greek grandfather! the only horrible Greek! he does not allow not that the stroller with the lounger leave if you have not paid, and to swim in the sea in front of the chairs forbids! he is wrong, maybe the beaches are municipal

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

(Maybe better pool chemicals or better filtration should be used). But overall, the pool and its surroundings were very nice and pleasant. There was a bar and an afternoon restaurant by the pool

The pool – although they take care of the pool and clean it every evening, unfortunately, the pool was slightly cloudy the entire time, and the edges of the pool could also use a cleaning

No hotel shop selling Inflatables etc (although they'd make a fortune!) so no one has anything in the pool, which was very cold when we came in April (temperature was 24⁰c but pools very cold) The location is OK- its up a steep hill so be prepared for that if you intend on walking

I'd advise better for older couple and not so much for families with children who want to be entertained as there is nothing for them other than the pool, which is rather small

The sushi was perfect I ordered the same thing everyday! The hotel grounds truly breath taking with the sunset views. They gave us a free room upgrade with a plunge pool. Service and staff were so friendly and helpful

We also used the fitness center and spa and enjoyed both. The massages were relaxing and perfect for the atmosphere here. The beach and pool chairs are nice as well, with gorgeous views and decent beach access

Just perfect! Everyone was so very kind and helpful. The concierge even helped us rent a car. We booked last minute after fleeing another not so nice place booked by our travel agent. This was absolutely the best move

Albatros hotel is very welcoming with all members of staff doing their best for visitors. We had a lovely room with a sea view, cleaned daily and all you need for an enjoyable stay

Herssonissos Village is a beautiful place with great views and cozy rooms. The bar is fantastic, thanks to bartenders Ricardo and Dimitris. Both of them make amazing cocktails, and they are warm and friendly

Rooms are maybe not 5 stars, comparing to other European countries but there was everything you need and you don't go there to sit in hotel all the day 🙂 food was not changing often but was good, everyone was really friendly there, pools where great, super lovely personal in kids club, kids disco every evening, really great entertainment team with great shows after kids disco

I had made previous arrangements with them to celebrate my wife's significant birthday and they delivered perfectly. All in all one of the best holidays we have had. Now just need to lose all the weight I put on!

The room was spotless and cleaned beautifully every day with linen changes whenever required. From the porters to the manager everyone was without exception friendly and accommodating

Every aspect of our holiday was spectacular. My granddaughter and I had a wonderful time. The food exceeded my expectation breakfast, lunch and dinner were more than 5 stars
