There’s a private beach, plenty of pools, and activities you can book easily through their app. I suggest staying at least 3 days. With 4 or 5 nights, you can also explore the town

Hotel gym is well equipped, but it hosts local people as well which makes the weight room tight. Food - great but could be better and a wider variety. Bars and food areas located all over, big variety with great service

A big compliment for also thinking of early departures and late arrivals – full meal options are available from 6 AM until midnight. The bars are excellent, the cocktails are high-quality and well-prepared

All rooms are organized in a semicircle around multiple large pools, some with sea water and some with fresh water. There are ample and very comfortable pool chairs everywhere with shading umbrellas

The stay at Lyttos Mare was just wonderful. The food was really nice and the service overall was just fantastic. The rooms with individual pool are superior and come with some extra benefits

They are modern and equiped with small refrigerators, and a small safe. The bottom level rooms have a small pool connected to the rooms

The same is true about the beach area. Multiple open bars are present with easy access from all directions serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The rooms are spacious, kept very clean daily

To be honest reading the reviews I was dreading coming here! I can honestly say we’ve had the best time here! The kids have loved it they’ve been busy all week with kids clubs discos every night for them the entertainment staff have been fantastic :) they been playing in pools all day and the rooms are nice as well

All round good service but had problems with the A/C, bunk beds were slack and flimsy, food was a bit canteen ish and not a great choice, add more alcohol to the all inclusive list because what you have is not much and fix your slides because where they join together needs to be filled as there like a cheese grater when you go over them

The 2 Albanian gentleman working the pool bars were the rudest, most miserable people I met the whole holiday. Advice, get a job where do you don't deal with people. I would recommend this place for families

Other than that good location lots to do and nowhere is 100% but it's the small things that count

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days recently and I will definitely be returning, perfect for children, they absolutely loved the pools, play areas and slides

The bathroom looked awful, but otherwise the rooms weren't that bad. Shame the pools are salty as it kind of puts you off from using the slides (not a pleasant experience for nose and eyes)

Free entrance and nice swimming pool for children. If you have one child, this is the place to meet other kids. The music was a bit a bit loud, but we are the parents and this place is more for youngsters

Very nice hotel, we had room in Athina building, pool party wont hear there. Pool areas are big and clean.. if u go 10:00am you got good place. Lot of kids in hotel, we have one in holiday.

Had an amazing holiday here! The food was amazing! The pools were awesome and the staff were great! We loved the rooms also! The only issue we had was there was a private villa (not star beach) next to us and they played really loud music and sung and shouted until 2 am every day

I'm not sure what peak season is like though there's lots of loungers and more pools available. Good WiFi throughout, clean room. Most of the staff are very friendly

Pool water is cold as a warning, more an issue for the adults I found as kids just jump in. Limited selection of drinks can get boring after a while

Our son’s family stayed in a Family Room, which had the same facilities but was larger and included a bath. Their ground-floor room also had a patio leading to the family pool

This time we have booked all-inclusive deal with Laguna Resort in Crete and as expected it was one more unforgettable experience!!! Everything was just so amazingly welcoming - the facilities, well-maintained room, huge swimming pools and recreation areas, tennis courts, the gym, reach food and beverage menu in the main dining room and on-site restaurants

The only downsides were the salt water pools and the food not accommodating for children. Apart from that we had an amazing time!!

Rooms was clean and quite big, Daily cleaning. Staff always smiling and very helpful 😊 There is 3 pools , 1 for small children , the other 2 for older, 2big slide and in small pool few slide and splash area

We have just returned home from a week here and I wish I could have stayed longer! We were worried as we had seen so many bad reviews but this hotel is absolutely lovely

Pool fresh sea water and cleaned daily was so refreshing after the warm sun with plenty of sun beds to choose from and kids loving the slides. Food was tasty and so much choice for all including 2 fussy eaters

Big shout out to the guy that ran the pool entertainment. Didn’t get his name but he was fab and he and the animation team worked long hours and kept both adults and kids entertained with very basic props

At the pool bar Eva and Alexandriou worked very hard and always had a welcome and a smile

Fun pool had an excellent bar and provided pizza, chips, burgers, salad and was a nice change from the main restaurant some days. Whipped ice cream was available in both pool bar and fun pool bar all day, every day

Grand Hotel get them some decent equipment! The water park and slides were excellent and very well supervised by two lifeguards at all times, who would not allow children to enter without an adult to accompany them

A special mention to George in the restaurant who is just one of those welcoming and helpful people that makes your holiday very special. He’s worked there for 25 years and could not do enough for our family

It has so many activities for children with water park, swimming pools, theatre, shows and kids club. The restaurant buffets were really good. But what made our stay so precious and wonderful were the Staff

We had an absolutely fabulous time on our relaxing vacation! We are always hopping around anytime we travel, and we really wanted a vacation where we just relaxed and had fun! My kids swam EVERY single day from 10am to 6pm

Their heartfelt approach truly elevated our entire experience. Special mention also goes to the entertainment program and especially the quality of the food – way above what you might expect from an all-inclusive resort

Life guards were on duty in all pool areas which was reassuring. Location and sea views from our room were amazing especially early morning sun rise was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Room was clean; towels got replaced everyday. The poolwater is salty and clean too. Food was average, since there isn't a wide variety. The waiter are attractive and nice. The beach is a 10 minute walk from thr hotel

Situated on the outskirts of Koutouloufari village, Diktynna makes the most of it's elevated position offering stunning views of the Cretan coastline from many of it's rooms although a few of the lower level rooms have a view of the pool and it's surroundings (also a very pretty view)

Owner Anna is a gem, going above & beyond to help with anything you need. Bar area run by Vangelis, open until gone midnight

The room was cleaned every other day to high standard by a very friendly lady who would leave replacement towels and additional toilet rolls. The chlorine pool is cleaned religiously every evening and shuts at 7pm

We stayed in a pool view maisonette which had everything you could want for a self catering stay. I know some rooms had amazing sea views too. The pool is very small (but well maintained)

There's also a brand new communal toilet/shower block that's been recently added downstairs from the pool area. Everything at Dyktynna happens under the watchful eye of Vangelis

Our room had a 'picture postcard', perfect sea-view and whilst the view might have been better from the suite above but then the extra flight of stairs! As beautiful as our room may have been, the real joy was the product of all the hard work from the staff and management

Great place - maybe one of the best on this seaside! Just a 20 minute ride from the airport, and right on the beach. The food was so fresh, healthy and gorgeous - every meal. Lots of choice to be fair. The bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and I will go again.

Children's animation, decent kitchen. The beach is small and not very wide area for children in the shallow water, but swimming with a mask not to swim out of the Bay you can see a huge number of marine animals

My family and I, wife and children aged 9 and 11, had a wonderful 5 days at the Arminda. The food quality was good, tasty and plentiful

They gave us such a warm and familiar feeling! The staff Arranged my daughter a wonderful decorations for her birthday, and made a whole celebrationof the check in and the entry to the room

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Nice hotel but the food is just ok. After 5 days everything repeats and gets boring. Nice pool area and bars. Low budget drinks are ….. ok. Small cups for LQ cocktails

From the sea not far away, but to return to the mountain. The food is not bad, but monotonous. Good free beer. The pool area is nice.

The full body massage was very good, not sloppy like un other places. I had a massage therspist Inna and she was very professional. Inna recommended good advices that I can use in my everyday life

For 50 euro all inclusive is a good deal. Food is okay, free beer and drinks made of local gin and vodka. Pool water is cold, but sunshine all day long to the pool area. Parking place next to the hotel available.

It’s better to take room in the main building because there is no elevator in other buildings and you should go upstairs on foot what is little bit hard

Rooms and hotel in general is very clean , staff were very helpful and attentive pool area was good with plenty sunbeds .we had a complementry bottle of prosecco in room on arrival

To give you and idea of the charges a massage and jacuzzi session for 2 had a special discount price of 189€! The pool area was very quiet, there wasn't much in terms of atmosphere, people kept themselves to themselves, there was some background music from the pool bar and an aqua aerobics class a couple of times a week that seems popular, but on the whole day times were slow and quiet

The overall condition of the hotel was good with comfy sunbeds and it was all kept clean, the hotel reception area is dated, I think they may be going for the rustic style but personally I think it just felt dated

Let me explain, in hotels I've scored higher previously, you get a good night and good morning from reception when walking past, here there was none of that, we stayed here for 10 nights and had the same drinks almost all the time, at other hotels the staff remember you and your order here this just didn't happen

Food Ok, again nothing special but nothing to complain about either, managed to get something to eat at every meal but nothing stood out as being amazing, there could be long queues for the fresh cooked station in the evening and also at the cold drink station at breakfast

Rooms Ours was modern, clean and adequately sized with a refrigerator and safe so no real complaints, the shower was nice and the beds comfortable, the only odd thing was having the sink next to the next to the bed instead of in the bathroom but this didn't bother us

Staff was nice to us and help fool. Pool and sea was the best along with the view. Definitely one of the better vacations we had so far. I hope we will go back again next year to enjoy some more

the view was breathtaking and the beach was nearby. the food was amazing and they had a variety of dishes. the nicest people work there and everybody was super friendly. we would love to come back again

Great hotel! The view is absolutely breathtaking, the personnel is very kind from the receptionist to the cleaning staff, bartenders everybody! I see a lot of complaints that is on a hill, well yes but the view is absolutely amazing and the walk to the beach is short and not so challenging
