The hotel is beautiful, with such a Greek feel around the place, beautiful plants everywhere. The pools are so clean & the water park is amazing for all ages. Me and my husband love the slides

A few small disappointments: the beach bar only serves Aperol Spritz as its alcoholic option, juice glasses in the main restaurant are tiny, and the coffee there is poor

We especially liked Aris at Idaia bar who made us great cocktails! The hotel is divided into different areas making it great for families with lots of activities, and couples who want their quiet areas and great drinks and music with a view

My daughter loved the kids' club (bookable online) and the staff there. special wine at dinner) were charged extra. Otherwise, all drinks and snacks were included. The food was always delicious and fresh

I spent a week at the resort all-inclusive with my daughter. After initially being given a somewhat noisy room, we requested a quieter one, which was immediately accommodated

Busy enough to feel part of something, quiet enough so that there were no queues at all for food (which was plentiful, varied and delicious) and plenty of space in every area (poolside, restaurants, etc)

We have just arrived home from a wonderful holiday at the Belvedere. We have three teenagers and they all thoroughly enjoyed. There are 3 big pools to choose from, but their favourite was the top pool with the jacuzzi

If you wanted the sunbeds at star beach these were at a fee. The food is okay, pretty much what you expect for an all inclusive family holiday. Plenty to choose from and the grills are cooked fresh along with omelettes

Very varied, many salads, different meat, rice, potatoes, pasta or fries to choose from. I can highly recommend the hotel, because even in bad weather it can be endured very well

Just had 5 nights at this hotel (late October) and it was wonderful

Only milk make it better ? But in Spar water is just 0. 5 Euro If you need long beach take the bus to Malia And don't stay in the hotel all the time. Take some excursions just in front of hotel

All round good service but had problems with the A/C, bunk beds were slack and flimsy, food was a bit canteen ish and not a great choice, add more alcohol to the all inclusive list because what you have is not much and fix your slides because where they join together needs to be filled as there like a cheese grater when you go over them

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days recently and I will definitely be returning, perfect for children, they absolutely loved the pools, play areas and slides

To be honest reading the reviews I was dreading coming here! I can honestly say we’ve had the best time here! The kids have loved it they’ve been busy all week with kids clubs discos every night for them the entertainment staff have been fantastic :) they been playing in pools all day and the rooms are nice as well

Disco each night was a bit repetitive but kids loved learning the same dances. food could be a bit better but we always found something to eat as there’s plenty of option. Our room was very clean with a perfect sea view

Everything for the family stay is here. Plenty of attraction, few pools and bars. Besides that location is great- everything nearby including clubs bars and restaurants

Also 3 different pool bars included with drinks and some snacks. The Water Park is right next door and has multiple pools for all ages. Some slides for and access to sunbeds in the park and on the beach are also included

The whole resort is quite spacious and access to everything is included in the price, even the sunbeds on the beach. It’s truly a paradise for children

The food is excellent and the selection is amazing! The area can be a bit windy since it’s up north, but there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy – lots of pools, fun water slides, kids’ corners, playgrounds, and more

Awesome place Fantastisk hotell. It was like staying in a little village, they had everything inside the perimeter. shops, outdoor activities, playgrounds pools for the kids. Beautiful view to the sunset/sunrise

You can access the sister hotel Lyttos beach and use their facilities such as the Olympic pool, waterpark, lyttopia, and see the entertainment each night (quizzes, bingo, performances & DJ nights) so there was plenty to do

Our second stay this year! Amazing hotel. I'd accidently booked the wrong room type, and we were upgraded for free. Giannis provided excellent service around the pool

Service throughout the hotel was amazing and cannot fault at all. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Beach is a pebble/rocky beach, this didnt bother us as we were happy by the pool

There's an astro pitch, tennis courts and arcades and pool table for other entertainment. Unfortunately, didn't get an opportunity to try the sushi bar but it looked really nice

The food at the restaurants are amazing, we can't decide which one is the best! Really enjoyed the pan asian breakfast. Loved the creperie, open all day

Not only are there 2 pools, but also a sea down the street. You can ride jetskis in the sea. There's also a bar, an 8-ball place and a lot of shops nearby from this hotel

The hotel has a great pool deck, two well maintained pools, and plenty of sunbeds, and waiters are on hand all the time to bring drinks. A really nice resort hotel, well run, and great staff

I really love this place! I like the food from the buffet, you can choose what to eat in the morning or in the evening. The rooms are a little small for my liking though

The bath by the bed and open plan wash basin is a bit odd, and if you do feel like having a bath, it would take an absolute age to fill

Our room (with a private pool) was very good, great bed and very clean. The pool was very cold in September but it was nice to sit near it

The beach, however, isn’t the most appealing, so we highly recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding area. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would definitely come back!

We stayed for a week in a suite with a private pool and loved it. The staff were excellent to a fault, especially the bar staff - couldn't rate them high enough

Food, staff, rooms and all facilities are great. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The swim-up was fantastic, quiet most of the time and waiter service to pool side was unexpected but appreciated

Areas for Improvement • The hotel’s beach is not particularly appealing. However, after a 10-minute walk, you can reach a much nicer beach

Private beach areas are lovely too. The water park for the granddaughter is great too

• Everything is tastefully decorated — from the stylish apartments to the elegant restaurant interiors and even the staff uniforms. • Our children absolutely loved the aquapark; it’s a highlight for families

- 4 pools (main, kids, relaxed, slides) with plenty beach chairs (saltwater like most pools on creta, slide pools is fresh water) -bars with coffee, branded softdrinks, ice cream and even fresh cocktails (fresh lime/lemon/mint) -you need to take a transit to the beach but it's not far and will transfer you every 15 mins or faster

Just back from a ten day stay at Grand Hotel. Super clean rooms and dining areas. Pool areas power hosed every morning and then mopped by the very hard working cleaners

Apparently the beach chairs are free for hotel guests but we didn't known and just stayed for an hour because it was quite windy that day Bad: -micromanaging everywhere: you have to wait to get in the dining area, you have to wait to get seated by another guy, you have to wait to order drinks by a third waiter

A special mention to George in the restaurant who is just one of those welcoming and helpful people that makes your holiday very special. He’s worked there for 25 years and could not do enough for our family

Excellent choice of food in main restaurant and vegetarians catered for at all times. Desserts delicious and plenty of choice compared to many other all inclusive hotels that I’ve stayed in

He’s the type that knows what you need before you know yourself! Nothing is a bother to him and we will always remember his kindness

The hotel fully lives up to its 4-star rating. Great location with easy access to the sea and convenient parking nearby. The reception staff are friendly and helpful — always ready to answer any questions

Beach was small with paid sun-beds and umbrella, but last day we just stayed around pool where beds are free and went for few dips in the see from there. Inflatables are free to use and stacked by the pool

All inclusive buffet is very good with a nice variety each day. Rooms are clean and tidy with plenty of space for 2. We had room 448 which was in an excellent location with a main pool view and a distant sea view

I have been to many Tui hotels of the same rating and this one has something special! Manos and Kostas at the pool bar are PHENOMENAL and both truly make the holiday - I really really hope they are here next year for my 30th! They create a wonderful atmosphere - wonderful bar drinks, always filling everyone with laughs! The staff are beyond friendly and could do not more for you - I have never experienced...

Can't rate staff here enough, nothing is too much trouble, Xsnthippi was amazing in releasing tension during my massage. Only niggle is smoking, where some guest are inconsiderate when sunbed are so close

Just got back from a fantastic 2 week holiday at Insula Alba. This Hotel is one of the best hotels we’ve been to in Europe. The Rooms are great and having a swim up pool at the bottom of your sun loungers is top notch

But most of all our pool barman MANOS He was not only great at making any cocktail we asked for but went above and beyond to make us feel special and it actually felt like he was a long time friend

The adults only is fantastic if you are a couple or with friends in search of a high class resort. Nearby Hersonissos with beach bars and restaurants give the area an added value for night life and lunch

The food was absolutely fantastic and had so much choice. We didn’t do much in the evening but there was always some entertainment going on at the pool bar

- mediocre cuisine, really not a 5-star variety and quality - lovely pools, with plenty of sunbeds - rooms need bigger renovation, we are a family of 4, with teenagers and there was literally a window on the wall between the two rooms of our apartment

Stayed for 10 days, and not once witnessed the pool getting cleaned, water is extremely murky. The pool is horrific and the pool bar is messy, unclean and dated. Had to pay £2 euros for wifi access per device and day

Everything was just fine, I had a grate hollidays in the hotel. The room was clean, food was nice and fresh and the hotel stuff friendly... only in the breach you need special shoes to get into the water.

2 big swimming pools! Cool! What was not very comfortable - it is entrance in the sea, there were a lot of stones, for children it is not good

- excellent beach, just a few steps from our room. Unfortunately, we had huge waves on 3 days of our stay when it was not allowed to swim in the sea. This is purely bad luck, can happen anywhere, anytime

Getting a massage at this spa was really nice. Emma was my masseuse, and you can tell she's an expert, and her massage was very relaxing. I'd definitely go back again!

we were accommodated for 5 nights, the big minus is that there is no beach and if you want to lie on the sunbeds you have to pay €25 but the view of the sea is beautiful, we had ordered 2 rooms, but we got a large apartment with a luxurious terrace and a wonderful view, the food was good for children (all-inclusive) they didn't have any non-bubble drinks except water, otherwise everything was wonderful

There are a few pools mostly small, very disappointing that they allow guests to leave their towels on the sun loungers even though they are still sleeping. We never found room at the main pool

The hotel is nice, located on the first line. Location to the sea is perfect! One of the best disco bars by the sea yelling to three hours a night for sleeping

It was a pleasure to stay here. The only thing was, that the dinner was always a bit cold and the polish and russian guests were horrible at the buffet.🙈 The Staff was perfect. Maria at the Reception was the best.❤️

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Overall I would recommend the hotel and the whole experience. It is a very beautiful hotel, the beach was wonderful and so was the surrounding area

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Cozy hotel in a huge area, beautiful garden with palm trees. Directly on the seafront promenade. 100 m from the wide sandy beach, from the center ca. 1500 meters away.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. The a la carte dining options are incredible with 5 restaurants to choose from, all offering very different cuisine. The cocktails are made fresh and are excellent quality

From the first minute, we walked into the front doors we were cared for like none other. The staff was super friendly and very hospitable. The dining options were very good. We only booked a two nights stay

The resort felt spacious and quiet despite being fully booked. Staff are very attentive and friendly. If we had to be constructive, one criticism would be the buffet - we enjoyed the breakfast

Lunch and dinner are ok, but the variety isn't huge and quality was hit or miss. However, there are several restaurant options for lunch as well where the food is guaranteed to be great

Our deck was in the shade most of the day which may bother some people, but we were happy to use it as a break from the sun. And there are plenty of sun loungers available

I wish it was a seven nights stay. I will definitely be returning in the future. The only knock I would give this place is we had ants in our room… 9

Very cute family-style resort. The staff was super nice, always smiling, and willing to help. Every day, we had chairs by the pool and the beach. Highly recommended for families. They also had activities during the day.

Plus points: Well laid-out hotel. Good spa service, including indoor heated spa pool, gym and jacuzzi for free. Staff were friendly and helpful

Optional organised sporting activities available like darts, table tennis, beach volleyball. Evening bar entertainment was good. Negatives: Sink blocked in our room

The Option to use the pool or go to the beach which was just crossing the road. The bars and restaurant gave options for dinning. The grounds are well looked after.

We stayed at Bella Beach in October for my partner’s 25th birthday and had a lovely time. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating from beginning to end

The next day we got an upgrade from our double room to a family room with a private pool! Top service! The food was fine but not super fantastic

Can go to the beach too which is owned by another hotel but that's fine. Some people say the pool towels cost extra but the first one is free and you're free to use it throughout the week

There's also a convienient laundry rack in the rooms. The food was fine, maybe needed some more salt at times. We arrived quite late and they even had a cold buffet waiting for us which we didn't expect!

We had a wonderful stay at Arminda with our 2YO daughter. The location is great with easy access to a beach which is excellent for swimming, and close to local towns for authentic dining & sightseeing

One of those events per night. Our kids loved the food variety, pool and entertainment provided. Lots of activities for kids which allowed for some adult time too. Check-in and out staff were helpful with advice too

The kids klubb was lovely for my cousins. The entertainment was so nice and put in a lot of effort. My aunt went there last year and the hotel and entertainment has had a great improvement. Wonderful!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. A 20-30min drive from Heraklion. Different pools to choose from and some water slides. Although the water was a bit on the colder side in October but we still swam
