So when you have a 600+ rooms resort and a limited number of sunbeds, you must enforce the no reservation policy. The beach is fine, but there are huge underwater rocks near the shore when you get into the sea

We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The food, especially the meals at the restaurant, was absolutely amazing—every dish was delicious and exceeded our expectations

We did get a bungalow with a connecting door to another room so it was a bit noisy and lacked a little privacy so we asked to move rooms and the staff were extremely accommodating

The reception staff was very attentive, always accommodating everything we asked for with a smile. Our room was spacious and comfortably

All pools were clean and well maintained. Did struggle to find sunbeds some days as people would ‘reserve’ them

We have just arrived home from a wonderful holiday at the Belvedere. We have three teenagers and they all thoroughly enjoyed. There are 3 big pools to choose from, but their favourite was the top pool with the jacuzzi

If you wanted the sunbeds at star beach these were at a fee. The food is okay, pretty much what you expect for an all inclusive family holiday. Plenty to choose from and the grills are cooked fresh along with omelettes

There is also a free shuttle bus by the hotel to take you to the star beach which also has a few water slides which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was €10 each for the full day

There are also two snack bars open throughout the day with one offering fresh Gyros. These were a great hit with them all. The only reason for the 4 star was the lack of room for clothes

The wardrobe space was really small and wouldn't have been big enough for my husband and I never mind the children too. The rooms are pretty basic but we didn't mind, we were only in the rooms to shower and sleep

Awesome water park for kids of any age, sunbeds on the beach available for free, beach nice and clean, with a part without stones after entering the sea, car rental, supermarket and souvenir shops onsite

Drinks were good on all inclusive and the beach setting is great. Snorkels necessary as lots of shoals of fish just off the beach

The food is outstanding, with several restaurants to choose from, each offering a unique and delicious dining experience. There are also multiple bars to enjoy, providing a variety of drinks in relaxing atmospheres

Everything about the hotel is 10/10 the Food, Entertainment, cleanliness, drinks, activities for the kids, splash park, location we can not recommend this place enough. We extended our stay we loved it that much

Dinners in the main restaurant have different themes every day. There is an excellent fish restaurant within the hotel area: octopus, calamari and great variety of fish

Huge hotel complex, great food, however the fish restaurant could be better (grilled stuff had weird taste because the grill probably hasn't been washed for some time)

Only milk make it better ? But in Spar water is just 0. 5 Euro If you need long beach take the bus to Malia And don't stay in the hotel all the time. Take some excursions just in front of hotel

All round good service but had problems with the A/C, bunk beds were slack and flimsy, food was a bit canteen ish and not a great choice, add more alcohol to the all inclusive list because what you have is not much and fix your slides because where they join together needs to be filled as there like a cheese grater when you go over them

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days recently and I will definitely be returning, perfect for children, they absolutely loved the pools, play areas and slides

To be honest reading the reviews I was dreading coming here! I can honestly say we’ve had the best time here! The kids have loved it they’ve been busy all week with kids clubs discos every night for them the entertainment staff have been fantastic :) they been playing in pools all day and the rooms are nice as well

Disco each night was a bit repetitive but kids loved learning the same dances. food could be a bit better but we always found something to eat as there’s plenty of option. Our room was very clean with a perfect sea view

Everything for the family stay is here. Plenty of attraction, few pools and bars. Besides that location is great- everything nearby including clubs bars and restaurants

I don't know from what time the others went there because if you wanted to go after breakfast, you couldn't find any places available. A minus of the beach, it seemed to me the price of the sunbeds

Our room had a 'picture postcard', perfect sea-view and whilst the view might have been better from the suite above but then the extra flight of stairs! As beautiful as our room may have been, the real joy was the product of all the hard work from the staff and management

The hotel has a lot to offer, especially with its stunning beachfront location and friendly staff, but there are a few areas that could use some improvement

Despite these issues, our overall experience was enjoyable. The location is fantastic, right by the beach, and the staff were always friendly and helpful

We recently spent 9 nights at Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel in Hersonissos, Crete, and overall, we were happy with our stay

I'm particularly grateful for their efforts at the back end of a long season

Because the hotel has closed the day of our late departure, we were allowed to use all facilities at the neighboured Lyttos Beach Hotel and we even got another room there for a couple of hours

The stay at Lyttos Mare was just wonderful. The food was really nice and the service overall was just fantastic. The rooms with individual pool are superior and come with some extra benefits

Evening program was always funny and entertaining. The only thing you should be aware of is that the allergies deceleration on the buffet is not always correct. Better ask in case of allergies

High quality and professionalism everywhere! Super holidays and especially for families ! We enjoyed every moment of our stay ! Many thanks to the personal and congratulations to all ! This resort will be one of our best experiences

The same is true about the beach area. Multiple open bars are present with easy access from all directions serving alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. The rooms are spacious, kept very clean daily

The facilities are nice but the service was poor. We stayed at the Luxury Villa which is booked through Lyttos Beach but gives access to both Lyttos Beach and Lyttos Mare

The hotel has a very nice bar, pool bars and restaurants. Food is tasty, and although the choice is not overwhelming, it was still difficult to decide - everything was tempting

Great and helpful staff, lots of activities for kids, but the highlight for me was Rocco the magician. Very funny and the kids were roaring with laughter, as were the adults. Any chance to see Rocco is a huge bonus

- Room was cleaned nicely every day, and the hotel gives you 4-5 water bottles, when they clean the room. - Food was decent at the buffet

Nice, clean and well situated hotel with a few small swimming pools and a water park. The beach directly in front of the exit is small, but sheltered from the waves, so you can use it even in strong winds

Resort is beautiful, facilities for a family are great. Lots of options for pools and dining. Beach is stunning and very close. Restaurant and bar staff are great. Resort is kept immaculately clean

One of our party is coeliac and the meals are made personally and brought to the table. Absolute must for families!!! Hotel grounds are well tended to. Flumes are fab for the kids! Will book again when we get back

Staff are the hardest working people and always so welcoming and pleasant. It has 4 single beds and 1 king size bed which is really comfortable

Never had to look far for a sunbed and located well for off resort shops and a beach. Very nice food in the restaurants but alcoholic beverages were watered down

I think it's very obvious that the staff doesn't care about the condition of the rooms they give to the guests. On the other hand, the food and beach are absolutely flawless

Very clean with comfortable rooms and beds with comfortable mattresses and pillows that ensure a good night's sleep. It's very easy to access the location and is near by center of town

But there are good hotel sunbeds, umbrellas, a changing cabin, a shower, a freezer with cool water. There are also waiters from bars who bring drinks and fruits

This is the second time we live in the area and again we chose the same hotel because we are completely satisfied at all levels

It's situated on the beach with lovely views, is well located with the small harbour/port in one direction with many nice bars & restaurants along the sea front, star beach in the other direction with nice pools, water park & nearby water sports & snorkeling

Go to the beach bring flip flops or beach shoes as sand gets really hot go to the beach beds as little coves you can swim in the clear crystal sea so lovely but feet get covered in sand there shower behind the pool bar

We had a wonderful holiday at Silva beach, nicely laid out rooms in small blocks not one big building. 2 decent sized pools, both with nearby bars & loungers. The staff are very welcoming & feiendly

Up the hill are a series of small old villages that are very nice & well worth a visit, there are plenty of taxis if you don't fancy the walk, there are multiple bars on the way back down from Old Hersonissos to the beach side Hersonissos to ensure you don't get dehydrated! Alar dinner show is well worth booking in for a very entertaining evening

Many shops, bars & restaurants along the main road that runs parallel & fairly close to the seafront path/road

After reporting a couple of times a brand new unit was fitted. Very clean all over the hotel and pool areas great

They were well-maintained and provided a relaxing oasis. We loved lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and enjoying refreshing drinks from the bar. Overall, our second visit was a fantastic experience

Our room was just as we remembered – spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed. It offered the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The pool areas were a highlight once again

We stayed at Stella Palace in the fall and had a suite with pool sharing. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the direct pool access is absolutely fantastic

Again we could not fault the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is plenty to choose from and if you would like a change they also have 4 onsite restaurants that are also included in your all inclusive package

We arrived late at night and missed having wine or beer in the fridge, although it was stocked daily with water. The hotel offers several restaurants, and reservations can easily be made through an app

The beach, however, isn’t the most appealing, so we highly recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding area. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would definitely come back!

The rooms with pools were super nice. The pool area was also nice with a refreshing sea breeze. The only disappointment was the Budha Bar by the pool. The quality did not match with price and expectations

The sushi was perfect I ordered the same thing everyday! The hotel grounds truly breath taking with the sunset views. They gave us a free room upgrade with a plunge pool. Service and staff were so friendly and helpful

We also used the fitness center and spa and enjoyed both. The massages were relaxing and perfect for the atmosphere here. The beach and pool chairs are nice as well, with gorgeous views and decent beach access

The hotel is great, but the service is amazing. The water are good and the beach is great, food is good but use the menu instead of the open buffet, it had great things like pesto pasta and grilled meat

Just perfect! Everyone was so very kind and helpful. The concierge even helped us rent a car. We booked last minute after fleeing another not so nice place booked by our travel agent. This was absolutely the best move

The village is only 15 minutes on the taxi and 20 min max from Heraklion city and 10 min on a taxi or a quad bike to Hersonissos which has loads of shops and bars by the beach

Great hotel with friendly and polite staff, with fantastic facilities and multiple pools. However if you want the beach you'll need to get the free shuttle bus to the golden beach, approximately 5 minutes away

Stayed for 10 days in September and what a fab place. Excellent choice of good quality food, pool areas very clean with tasteful fun games at family pool area. All staff very friendly and helpful

Good: -food is fantastic: fresh, seasoned, not boring, no overcooked veg and overall a decent selection of local and international food. A la card is even slightly better

- 4 pools (main, kids, relaxed, slides) with plenty beach chairs (saltwater like most pools on creta, slide pools is fresh water) -bars with coffee, branded softdrinks, ice cream and even fresh cocktails (fresh lime/lemon/mint) -you need to take a transit to the beach but it's not far and will transfer you every 15 mins or faster

Apparently the beach chairs are free for hotel guests but we didn't known and just stayed for an hour because it was quite windy that day Bad: -micromanaging everywhere: you have to wait to get in the dining area, you have to wait to get seated by another guy, you have to wait to order drinks by a third waiter

Staff is very friendly and always smiling. There are many pools and the food is very good. Hotel has a great location it’s close to local shops a nd supermarkets. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this hotel

Absolutely perfect hotel !!! Modern, clean and excellent service !! There are plenty of seating areas and a pools of water. We were in a room with a pool and this was a great choice !! Of course we'll be back there again

The overall ambiance of the resort is wonderful and relaxing. There's live music at night near the pools. There's access to the beach as well

Nice place for a summer holiday. They have some rooms with small private pools. There are larger common swimming pools with bars. They have 3 restaurants with different cuisines, apart from the regular buffet

It has balconies that let you go straight to the pool and the rooms have a beautiful interior and are made of quality materials. All in all a good recommendation if you want to go and relax :)

it's fun to wake up in the morning in front of the sea and it's fun to end the evening in front of the breeze from the sea. A large pool with many sunbeds, adjoining tables and umbrellas all around

We arrived early morning and they offer us beach towels, sun beds to swimming pool to relax until they prepare the rooms for us - and they did it faster the we expected

Our rooms were cleaned everyday to a very high standard. The pool and pool area were very tidy My only complaint was we had go home. Thanks to everybody at the hotel, hope to see you all again in the future

There are a few large beds dotted around the pool area, bells that you ring for service at every sunbed (service is very quick throughout the hotel), music was at a good level with the mood being respectful and chilled

Location is great, so close to the beach and convenient for shops and great photo opportunities. We will absolutely return and I loved it here, such a paradise!

The beach is stunning although I would recommend water shoes at it’s quite rocky in the water. The food included in the all inclusive package is all good. Perfect romantic holiday for a couple in late 20s

We had the beach just a few steps away, and the proximity to the pedestrian area and a village with a historic center allowed us to explore the local beauties with ease

I've had great experience at Albatros. The staff here is amazing, everyone is friendly and always helpful. Service is amazing, my room was nice and clean with a balcony and pool view

Albatros hotel is very welcoming with all members of staff doing their best for visitors. We had a lovely room with a sea view, cleaned daily and all you need for an enjoyable stay

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here,and both times in a superior room with pool view. Both times rooms have been immaculate. The hotel has a great location, close to sea/beach

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Overall I would recommend the hotel and the whole experience. It is a very beautiful hotel, the beach was wonderful and so was the surrounding area

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Cozy hotel in a huge area, beautiful garden with palm trees. Directly on the seafront promenade. 100 m from the wide sandy beach, from the center ca. 1500 meters away.
