We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The food, especially the meals at the restaurant, was absolutely amazing—every dish was delicious and exceeded our expectations

We did get a bungalow with a connecting door to another room so it was a bit noisy and lacked a little privacy so we asked to move rooms and the staff were extremely accommodating

The reception staff was very attentive, always accommodating everything we asked for with a smile. Our room was spacious and comfortably

If you wanted the sunbeds at star beach these were at a fee. The food is okay, pretty much what you expect for an all inclusive family holiday. Plenty to choose from and the grills are cooked fresh along with omelettes

Food was excellent 👌 outside the pools and bars where very good. Overall recommended 💯 per cent

The wardrobe space was really small and wouldn't have been big enough for my husband and I never mind the children too. The rooms are pretty basic but we didn't mind, we were only in the rooms to shower and sleep

There is also a free shuttle bus by the hotel to take you to the star beach which also has a few water slides which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was €10 each for the full day

The animals at the hotel were a big hit too, the donkeys, goats, chicken, ducks and turtles. We loved visiting them most days

Not to mention that we had already paid for all inclusive. Food overall in the hotel was standard. Pools were great except they did use salt water so your eyes would constantly be stinging. I would not give this a 4 star

The hotel of course attracts people from different age groups, and perhaps families with loud children isn’t the perfect match for elderly people with hearing aids, but they do their very best to cater for everyone’s taste offering family areas, as well as adult only areas

Wonderful hotel with great variety of restaurants. The food offered is excellent. At breakfast there is absolutely everything you could ever wish for, and then some

Dinners in the main restaurant have different themes every day. There is an excellent fish restaurant within the hotel area: octopus, calamari and great variety of fish

Drinks were good on all inclusive and the beach setting is great. Snorkels necessary as lots of shoals of fish just off the beach

There are 5 restaurants, the main restaurant and taverna serving mixed buffet with daily specials, an oriental restaurant serving sushi and Chinese that needs to be pre-booked, a fast food style bar in the waterpark and a snack bar by the beach

The food is outstanding, with several restaurants to choose from, each offering a unique and delicious dining experience. There are also multiple bars to enjoy, providing a variety of drinks in relaxing atmospheres

Our room had a 'picture postcard', perfect sea-view and whilst the view might have been better from the suite above but then the extra flight of stairs! As beautiful as our room may have been, the real joy was the product of all the hard work from the staff and management

The wifi did not work in the rooms. The food was not good. Not easy finding sunbed at hotel. Everything closed: animationteam and kidsclub. expensive with sunbeds at sea.

Just a 20 minute ride from the airport, and right on the beach. The food was so fresh, healthy and gorgeous - every meal. Lots of choice to be fair. The bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and I will go again.

I spent 10 days here with my wife and 2 kids. It's not a hotel tuned specifically for kids but it is family friendly, good aircon, great food, great service. Really nice and thoughtful team

On the positive side, the food at the hotel was quite good for an all-inclusive experience. There was a decent variety of dishes, and the quality was consistent

The restaurants and bars that for part of the resort are very good too. I would definitely stay again

The stay at Lyttos Mare was just wonderful. The food was really nice and the service overall was just fantastic. The rooms with individual pool are superior and come with some extra benefits

The children's entertainment was very good in the evenings, the team with Anna and the others was very good

Evening program was always funny and entertaining. The only thing you should be aware of is that the allergies deceleration on the buffet is not always correct. Better ask in case of allergies

Rooms a bit dated but serviceable. Location was good but it was so hot we didn't venture out but that wasn't the hotel's fault. Entertainment staff were great and so friendly

We have just returned home from a week here and I wish I could have stayed longer! We were worried as we had seen so many bad reviews but this hotel is absolutely lovely

The rooms are cleaned every single morning to a high standard. The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic with our two year old and made her confidence shine through

The only problem we had in our "junior suite" that there weren't enough sockets for all the beds (especially in the front bit where the refrigerator is). Service was great, everybody was friendly

The only downsides were the salt water pools and the food not accommodating for children. Apart from that we had an amazing time!!

Desserts were above average compared to my previous experincenses, when it comes to all inclusive. - They got a unique restaurant, which you may visit once for free

Great and helpful staff, lots of activities for kids, but the highlight for me was Rocco the magician. Very funny and the kids were roaring with laughter, as were the adults. Any chance to see Rocco is a huge bonus

A very clean hotel with fabulous staff, the food is not overly diverse but very good and sufficient

The pools and sheer size of the place means it really takes days to see it all. The food is the best we've had in a hotel never mind all inclusive

One of our party is coeliac and the meals are made personally and brought to the table. Absolute must for families!!! Hotel grounds are well tended to. Flumes are fab for the kids! Will book again when we get back

The only downside was the reception staff were unhelpful. We asked 3 or 4 basic questions over the week and each time they would say we don’t know and move on to the next person. This really let the resort down

Resort is beautiful, facilities for a family are great. Lots of options for pools and dining. Beach is stunning and very close. Restaurant and bar staff are great. Resort is kept immaculately clean

We arrived early to the hotel, so we weren't given our rooms yet, we had to wait for around three hours. That's perfectly fine, I understand, I'm not here to complain about that

Very clean with comfortable rooms and beds with comfortable mattresses and pillows that ensure a good night's sleep. It's very easy to access the location and is near by center of town

But there are good hotel sunbeds, umbrellas, a changing cabin, a shower, a freezer with cool water. There are also waiters from bars who bring drinks and fruits

We booked the Italian A La Carte and the food was really good. Unfortunately we left it too late to book "Prime Burger" so I would suggest to anyone that you try and book early

We went on the Train tour get off at old Hersonissos and go right up hill to the greace tavern lovely people and good yummy family run place. Can get train outside hotel on left

Up the hill are a series of small old villages that are very nice & well worth a visit, there are plenty of taxis if you don't fancy the walk, there are multiple bars on the way back down from Old Hersonissos to the beach side Hersonissos to ensure you don't get dehydrated! Alar dinner show is well worth booking in for a very entertaining evening

It's situated on the beach with lovely views, is well located with the small harbour/port in one direction with many nice bars & restaurants along the sea front, star beach in the other direction with nice pools, water park & nearby water sports & snorkeling

Many shops, bars & restaurants along the main road that runs parallel & fairly close to the seafront path/road

The food was great and we didn't even eat in any of the themed restaurants. The baklava was to die for! Such a pretty looking hotel, with the blocks of rooms in different pastel colours

Again we could not fault the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner there is plenty to choose from and if you would like a change they also have 4 onsite restaurants that are also included in your all inclusive package

They were well-maintained and provided a relaxing oasis. We loved lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and enjoying refreshing drinks from the bar. Overall, our second visit was a fantastic experience

We arrived late at night and missed having wine or beer in the fridge, although it was stocked daily with water. The hotel offers several restaurants, and reservations can easily be made through an app

We stayed at Stella Palace in the fall and had a suite with pool sharing. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the direct pool access is absolutely fantastic

Just perfect! Everyone was so very kind and helpful. The concierge even helped us rent a car. We booked last minute after fleeing another not so nice place booked by our travel agent. This was absolutely the best move

The hotel is great, but the service is amazing. The water are good and the beach is great, food is good but use the menu instead of the open buffet, it had great things like pesto pasta and grilled meat

Very beautiful resort, extremely clean ,the rooms with the private pool are perfect! The food is good. However surprisingly we had to pay extra cost for the water in dinner.

Just got back from 4nights at this hotel it was complete bliss. More restaurants and hooka lounges within 15-20 min walk. The Buddha Bar restaurant was so good

The sushi was perfect I ordered the same thing everyday! The hotel grounds truly breath taking with the sunset views. They gave us a free room upgrade with a plunge pool. Service and staff were so friendly and helpful

We also used the fitness center and spa and enjoyed both. The massages were relaxing and perfect for the atmosphere here. The beach and pool chairs are nice as well, with gorgeous views and decent beach access

Manos and John easily put this resort at 5*. Two great guys who made our break excellent, cannot rate these two people enough. Manos' cocktails and coffee are amazing and he's a friendly and great asset to the hotel

Stayed for 10 days in September and what a fab place. Excellent choice of good quality food, pool areas very clean with tasteful fun games at family pool area. All staff very friendly and helpful

No real reason if you can get most of the stuff cheaper or for free at the other ones. -the Italian restaurant is fine but just a small upgrade compared to the good buffet. And the wine selection is more limited

All inclusive* (*from 10:30 to 22:30) The hotel overall is good, could be great but there is just too much unnecessary annoyance especially bad micromanaging and it's more suited for families or older people

Good: -food is fantastic: fresh, seasoned, not boring, no overcooked veg and overall a decent selection of local and international food. A la card is even slightly better

- 4 pools (main, kids, relaxed, slides) with plenty beach chairs (saltwater like most pools on creta, slide pools is fresh water) -bars with coffee, branded softdrinks, ice cream and even fresh cocktails (fresh lime/lemon/mint) -you need to take a transit to the beach but it's not far and will transfer you every 15 mins or faster

Apparently the beach chairs are free for hotel guests but we didn't known and just stayed for an hour because it was quite windy that day Bad: -micromanaging everywhere: you have to wait to get in the dining area, you have to wait to get seated by another guy, you have to wait to order drinks by a third waiter

Food was nice with plenty to choose from but at times the food did seem luke warm but the quality was to good standard

Room was clean; towels got replaced everyday. The poolwater is salty and clean too. Food was average, since there isn't a wide variety. The waiter are attractive and nice. The beach is a 10 minute walk from thr hotel

Life guards were on duty in all pool areas which was reassuring. Location and sea views from our room were amazing especially early morning sun rise was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend and stay again

The food is varied for so many people, alcohol in all inclusive is not the same, but the whole hotel and the commitment of the staff at the highest level

I have never seen such cleanliness and commitment in such a large hotel. The pools are great, even the number of sunbeds is quite ok

Stella island resort is spacious, clean, has friendly efficient service and good food in all the restaurants. Good gym and spa treatments. The staff are wonderful. Great local wines as well.

Nice place for a summer holiday. They have some rooms with small private pools. There are larger common swimming pools with bars. They have 3 restaurants with different cuisines, apart from the regular buffet

Absolutely gorgeous location, so clean and the best part - excellent staff! We were greeted by the lovely Dimitra who gave us brilliant recommendations for restaurants and local sights

She was so helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome! We also had an excellent massage at the on site spa which was incredible and very worth the money

The location of the hotel is simply excellent. A room in the suite is very large and spacious. A spacious balcony facing the sea

Very clean, high level accommodation and services considering their 4 stars status. All staff is customer oriented

The glass shower door was slightly ajar which got the floor wet every time we showered. I'm six feet tall and when I sat down, I was on my tip toes. The rainfall shower was excellent

Not sure if it was a misunderstanding on his or out part. The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all fairly well stocked. Nothing crazy, but the coffee, warm pastries, and the omelette station were great

The all inclusive drinks were great too. Tasty cold beer, decent vodka, and very friendly bartenders. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a hot tub suite and made use of the tub almost every night

We had some minor issues with one of the staff members not wanting to provide us with drinks we'd previously had for some reason, but management was able to fix this for us quickly

The fresh fruit and bottle of white wine on check in was appreciated. The shower/toilet area was a bit tight and it made it a bit awkward to close the door

We were never left wanting for hot water. I saw a panel on the wall in the shower and started pushing buttons which made it constantly beep at me

Albatros hotel is very welcoming with all members of staff doing their best for visitors. We had a lovely room with a sea view, cleaned daily and all you need for an enjoyable stay

Buffet evening food is okay, but lack of variety in the evenings & not always hot. Ordered lunch a few times & was very impressed- gyros, club sandwich & Pizza. Happy hour for cocktails also very good

Attentive & helpful staff who are a credit to the hotel, always willing to help customers & provide very good service during mealtimes & at the bar

Would also add that tourist tax rate is charged at €10 a room a night (5* hotel rate) however, although a very good hotel, it is not 5* standard

Although the gym is a bit lame you can enjoy the healthy choices in the cafeteria and go on walks next to the beach where you can enjoy a lot or great shopping places and things to do :) overall no flaws, thank you for the amazing service I have a great time

We also went to the Euphoria Spa that is part of the hotel but you can also use it if you don't stay in the hotel. My partner had a Deep tissue massage from Lily and came back out after 1 hour a new man and so relaxed
