Swell Boutique Hotel

Friendly service. The manager speaks German for those who don't speak English. The hotel is a bit dated, but it's apparently being renovated over the winter. The location was perfect for us, about 1,000 m from the old town, and everything else you could need is right around the corner. Just across the street is the sandy beach. Sunbeds and parasols are available for a fee (€10). This is our second stay here, and that alone shows that we were very satisfied the year before, too. The hotel is small and cozy, which makes it feel a bit more intimate than the larger resorts, which is a good thing. If we come back to Crete, we'll stay here!

We had such a great team at this hotel. Room was so spacious (room 52) and nice, everybody who works here is kind and ready to respond on any kind of request. Very clean and the food is amaIng. We will be glad to come back again! Thank you hotel Swell boutique!

The entire staff of this hotel needs to be commended. Friendly, helpful, courteous and most of all went out of their way to assure we had everything we needed.
The breakfast buffet was amazing. The location was perfect right across the street from the beach. We had a parking space directly in front of the hotel. I cannot say enough good things about it.

Located right on the beach. 15 minutes from the old town. Clean rooms. Quite large. Comfortable bed. Small swimming pool. Good experience in total.

I visited Rethymnon and chose the hotel because of full seeview and good location (next to beach and near old town restaurants and shopping options). We found out several other reasons to choose it during our visit. Our room (with full seeview) was really comfortable with large, nicely tiled bathroom, roomy storage spaces and shadowy balcony. Even if it was on the second floor/ first above ground floor traffic noise didn’t disturbed at all. Breakfasts were versatile and good and highlighted with fresh orange juice every morning. I can only wonder where they had found so friendly and helpful receptionist. We got help with the room and baggases, good restaurant recommendations, later check-out and always greetings and couple of nice words. Ten point service!!!

Swell Boutique Hotel is the perfect place for those who like comfortable, clean and quiet rooms with a stunning sea view; breakfast rich and diverse; the beach just a few steps away...
But the main reason why you should visit this hotel is the staff. They will welcome and pamper you with the effortless smile.

We booked our holiday before the Covid-19 outbreak here at the Swell Boutique Hotel. Before we started the trip, we had doubts that everything was going well, but this was unfounded! Hygiene is very important everywhere! Upon entering Crete we were greeted warmly. We had a nice room with a sea view and a very clean room. The premises were disinfected regularly in addition to “regular” cleaning. All employees were wearing masks, like ours in Germany. There was no buffet at breakfast, but there was a nice waitress who brought you everything from the buffet. On our departure (tomorrow) we even received a small parting gift. In Crete itself it is now very, very empty, so there were no problems with sun loungers from 10 am :) In general, you can recommend a holiday in Crete

Very nice hotel right on the Rethymno promenade. A feeling of a little luxury. Will gladly pay for it, but it's worth it. Beach view from living room and bedroom

We stayed in June and are just now getting around to writing our review. The staff was so professional, kind, and friendly! Everything was beautiful- the rooms, the views- everything! The front desk people couldn't have been nicer. Oh, don't let me forget to mention the incredible food. Parking was a bit tricky, but we would still stay there again a thousand times over. We'd recommend Swell to anyone wanting a fantastic experience on the most exquisite island in Greece! The location was perfect, and we enjoyed every moment.
