The swiming pool has a good share of shadow in the afternoons which is really great for kids and refreshing during a hot summer day. Definitely we will come back

Towels are also changed daily. There are some quite small rooms, and we did reqeust, and were given a larger room in our second week, which was excellent

This hotel is fantastic value for money, lovely rooms, right by beach (1 min walk), lovely staff and very relaxing. I had a self-catered apartment and it was very well equipped. Very relaxing stay

Good supermarket close by and Lidl a short walk. Buses available but taxis into Rethymnon around 12-14 euros. Small pool with use of another pool by the beach

Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal location a couple minutes walk to beach one way and shops the other. Plenty of choice for restaurants. Several have small play areas for little children

The cleaning staff were very noisy one day and were shouting at each other very early in the morning. The rest of the days, they were quiet. Our apartment was on the ground floor and had a balcony facing the car park

Apart from that, everything was great: location (next to Rethymno but without the noise or perturbation of a city and with an entire beach for us), the food (very good and with variety) and the staff (special mention to Giorgios from the Beach Bar and all the Grecoland staff)

Rooms were really nice with welcome gifts even for kids too. The service was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from town and airport. The experience here was wonderful and very inclusive

Loads of activities for kids with a pool and play area to leave them in the care of minders. The food was very fresh and buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner

We found that the hotel manages to be very kind friendly but without compromising the quality and calmness that you look for a hotel during holidays. First time with Grecotel and not disappointed at all

The room itself wasn't 5 star but was what I expected given we've stayed in other hotels of the same/similar star rating. Food We always go Half Board which suits us. The dining room has seats inside and by the pool area

I have been here for the restaurant and the outside bar with the live music that was really good. The atmosphere is very nice and the music from Sofia & George amazing

We raised this with Guest Relations, and to her credit, she followed up later in the evening. But the only option offered was to stay in the suite for an additional €144 per night — which we understandably declined

We always ate in the dining room as it was cooler with the air conditioning. The dining room was the perfect size for us, not too big and the food was excellent with a great variety

Our week at this hotel got off to a frustrating start. Upon arrival, we were told we’d received an upgrade — great, we thought — only to be told it was for one night only

We personally didn’t use the pool areas but they are small and congested as other users have stated. What Worked Well: • Rooms were clean (though a bit dated). • Staff were generally friendly and helpful

Staff are very helpful and friendly - they did a great job organising a day trip for us. There are three pools (two outdoor and an indoor heated one)

Everything in the hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room quality was 1st rate. One minor issue in the maisonette is the very small wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom a small set of drawers would help

The only drawback is that the gym is tiny and can only accommodate three people at a time, so if you are a regular user, you'll need to book slots ahead of time

Lovely property with a private beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes in Reythmno town. Everything is superbly clean and comfortable

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

It was a very luxery and nice complex. The Hotel have luxe rooms, all the things works, luxe ligthing system etc. Also to have a balcony is nice. Every day the rooms are cleaned and the water and coffee cups are filled

The location is also very good, right by the sea, opposite the beach is nice, there are two swimming pools in the hotel, the children had a lot of fun playing in the water

Good location - 35 mins walk from town centre. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Well mantained swimming pool and good rooms. However, there were quite a few bits that i expect from a '5-star' property that were missing

A fantastic location with an expansive patio/pool complex, good restaurant/bar, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff that speak English.

We had a fantastic family Reunion here. The staff are super accommodating. The spa was a great treat, the pool fun to hang out and the food was delicious and varied.

Great pool bar, there were even inflatables in the pool for the kids to use. The staff here are all absolutely lovely, they are so friendly and helpful. They can’t do enough for you and always with a smile

There was a pool inside the hotel, so we went for a swim to relax instead of getting a massage

I received a room upgrade, and was so happy with my room, overlooking the beautiful pool, which is especially beautiful at night with the twinkling lights

The food and drinks were amazing, the pool was lovely to sit by and swim in, as well as the other two pools situated in the annexe! The bed was so comfy, the room cleaned everyday, and I loved my wall seat out on the balcony! I received late at night, received a complimentary lemon drink on arrival, food saved for me from dinner, and also complimentary snacks in my room

She was calm,, kind and efficient and within minutes of arriving at the reception had organised a pharmacy to give me a tetanus injection, and a taxi to take me there, wait and bring me back to the hotel

The food and the selection was of the highest quality and the restaurant was very clean and well laid out with enough space between the tables. The rooms were serviced everyday to an immaculate standard

The hotel pleasantly surprised us. Beautiful and well-maintained rooms, cleanliness. Rooms up to the 4th floor are closer to the pool, while rooms from the 5th floor and above have a better view of the sea

The staff and their manager, Mr. The hotel has its own pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a pool bar. The breakfast offers a good selection and the kitchen is trying to fulfill special wishes as well

The staff were so kind! The manager asked us multiple times if everything was alright and always wanted to talk to us. It was extremley clean, tidy and it was beautiful with marble floors everywhere

It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city center. The city beaches on the eastern side of Rethymno are about a half-hour walk away, so in that case, it's more convenient to take the bus

After unpleasant start (we got a room that was dark and had mold smell), we were given a very nice room on 7th floor. Breakfast was good, vasrious dishes avaiable

A small beach is near the hotel, old town 15 minutes walk. All in all, a very nice experience

We had a great stay for 9 nights at the hotel. It's beautifully decorated with a relaxing and cozy courtyard. The staff is so welcoming, nice and helpful. They always met us with a smile and made us feel so comfortable

A beautiful garden with a bar invites you to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Great roof terrace with pool and bar as well as a fantastic view of the harbour and the mountains

The rooftop pool we didn't use very much, but it's a perfect place to relax if you don't feel like going to the beach. It offers a beautiful view and also has a bar with lots of tables where you can enjoy a cold drink

The bathroom also had an older, but functional design. In the pictures I attached the room before check-out, so you get the idea. In terms of food, I only had breakfast and was very satisfied, it was diversified

Rooms are a little tired and dated but are in the process of being updated, very clean and comfy beds! We had a wonderful stay at Minos Hotel in Crete! From the moment we arrived, we was warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff

A boutique hotel in a renovated Venetian building. It looks like we're living in history. Love the exposed beams on the roofs. The host is warm and welcoming

The place could be better insulated to sound, but with a historical building, I am sure there are limitations. There are no elevators, so not ideal for people with mobility issues

The hotel was well situated, close to the harbour and shops and cafes. One night we were woken with noise from the nearby nightclub but it didn’t trouble us much

This was a lovely old hotel but could have been a bit cleaner. Our room was also cold but we turned up the heating and got it sorted

The owner was very hospitable and allowed us to drink our own wine around the pool area. Breakfast provided a good variety of local foods. The restaurant also looked good but we didn’t eat there

We thought this hotel was really nice especially for the price. Very good value! The room we had was well designed, plenty of storage and we had a large balcony overlooking the city and the pool

The breakfast was better than expected, with plenty of choice and good quality. The pool area was really nice, on the smaller side but never had issues finding a free sun bed throughout the day

We found it quite relaxing to lie around the pool. It’s in the busy area of Rethymno town, really close to the beach and about 20 min walk to old town which we went to most evenings

Perfect holiday, the staff was really nice and the food was great. We were a group of 7 people and everyone of us was please with the service and location.

We had superior room with a pool view so the noise wasn't an issue. However, if you are on the third floor during full season, you can forget about showering between 7PM - 8PM. The water pressure is very low

Everything is spotless, and having two pools is a big plus (though it’s a pity that loungers are often “reserved” with towels and left unused). The food is excellent with a wide selection for both breakfast and dinner

The hotel is very nice in front of the sea and also has a nice pool, the food is very good and I have never met such good staff before.

The only downside was the number of mosquitoes – not the hotel’s fault, but keep doors and windows closed and ask reception for a mosquito device. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

The staff always answered to any questions you had and knew alot even about things outside the hotel. Hotel had beach towels which was amazing and you didn’t have to buy your own ones

Great for families too with a children's pool and you don't have to cross a road to access the beach. There's also a good bus service into Rethymnon and lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels in Missiria

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

The weaknesses of the hotel are mostly tied to the hotel rooms, even if one decides to rent a "Deluxe Room". Additionally, Odyssia´s pool landscape is rather small

Also the sea in the beach is crystal clear, which is almost unbelievable! Provided with the hotelroom you have free access to beach towels, sunbeds, shower and changing rooms just in front of the hotel

Kriti Beach is more than a resort. In front of the beach with sunbeds for the guests, is the ideal location to explore the city. Helpful and polite staff, a hotel we love to stay.

The location within the city with all the money; clean beach - those two are the hotel's greatest advantage

My spouse had her birthday while we were staying and they brought a small cake with a candle for her in the breakfast. The lady serving coffee is an absolute gem, always smiling and ready to help

There was a bottle of cold white wine and a bottle of water waiting for me in the fridge in my room - a lovely surprise. I would definitely stay in this hotel again

The location is very convinient, roughly 1km from the old town and only a block away from the beach. Hotel is extremely well-maintained and clean

The breakfasts are very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves. Drink bar by the pool, fitness area and spa. The center of Rethymno is only a 20-minute walk away. We highly recommend this place

The rooms and communal areas were very clean. There was always space by the pool, and it was good that throughout the day there always were sunny and also shady areas by the pool

And after a day in the sun, I really didn’t want to feel I was scratched by my towel. The first day we arrived we had lunch at the pool “restaurant”

The hotel is compact, but cozy. The rooms are small, but neat. The only thing missing is a playground, at least a small one. If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, I definitely recommend May Beach Hotel

This hotel has 4 stars, but the most valuable fifth star is its staff. We have visited many countries and stayed in different hotels, but we have never met before such friendly and caring employees anywhere

My stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House was outstanding. The staff was extremely welcoming, and looked after me during all my stay. Maria and Vassiliki that offered hospitality at the first place

They have a small gym with some dumbbells, benches and cardio equipment - enough to keep trained during your holidays. Thanks a lot, Grecotel, for giving us a home for the time in Crete!

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. Room was good with a lovely sea view. In particular Michalis who greeted us when we arrived was very helpful and welcoming. Great location with the beach just across the road

Very friendly stuff and a very nice place to stay. Only limitation is that there were no fruits at breakfast

The pool although small was perfect, lovely little bar as well to grab drinks, not many sunbeds so gets quite full but we mainly went up after breakfast when it was quieter and just as sunny

But all in all despite the interesting foods at times, there was always something to eat we enjoyed. Had an amazing time, would reccomend to anyone :)

2 minor negatives - room’s were small on the restaurant side, which I think anyone booking through jet 2 were given, secondly the breakfast was not ideal for British people but there were not a lot of brits in Rethymno (not a bad thing lol)

The only downside to our stay was the food, we were half board, there was always a wide selection of foods but some of it was interesting

There was plenty bars and restaurants near by for excellent food though and some mornings toast and eggs did the job from the hotel

Dinner typically always had at least quite a few different options, even as a picky eater
