literally perfect. breakfast was 5/5. such a wide varieties of treats, pastries, sausages and more !!! (would definitely recommend the french toast) rooms were always cleaned. shower was perfection. fridge with refreshments that was always topped up (couldn’t help myself sometimes when it came to the sweet treats heheh xx). the team was so kind and caring and attended to every need of mine. lovely...
We stayed at this hotel 22 days! This hotel is your basic hotel, with very clean rooms, spotless bathrooms, amazing breakfast, comfy beds and thick towels. No gyms and pools. Great location with excellent public transport and taxi service. It also has parking. From this hotel we visited everything in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki. The staff is very experianced, they speak multiple languages and keep the...
The hotel was very good. Personal have bene very kind and professional. The room was clean, and there was coffee and tea for free. Breakfast was great, especially the yogurt they had was an ideal starter of the day. The hotel is in a very nice location of the Thessaloniki, very central. Me and my wife truly appreciate it.
Old, but nice and clean hotel with sea wiew and close to the centar. Room is big, comfortable, clean, but the bed was so narrow that I was all night affraid to fall down if I move. There is no chairs on the balcony. Wifi was ok. Breakfast excellent, big choise of food. Elevator is to small, it's only for two people with the luggage.
This Hotel is a half hour walk along the waterfront from the city centre. You can be lucky and find parking outside if youve hired a car. The rooms are clean and comfortable even if a little dated but breakfst is available and most ample, the staff are helpful and it is very reasonably priced. Byron & Dawn, Sydney
Pleasant hotel, nice breakfasts. Customer-oriented. We were allowed in the room as early as 11:00. We had a good safe place for our campervan for 7€ next to the hotel behind barriers. The location to see Thessaloniki is perfect. Will definitely come back here when we are in Thessaloniki again.

The location is ideal, rooms are small but comfortable. Architecture is amazing. Elevators are cramped and can be problematic for high floors. The view is nice. Restaurant area is small but the food is delicious. Bar is definitely comfortable and awesome. Employees are warm.
Nice hotel located near the Arch of Galerius (also known today as “Kamara”), one of the most important Roman monuments of Thessaloniki. I was assigned a room with a beautiful view of Ano Poli. The rooms are not particularly spacious, and the washrooms are fairly small. The staff, especially Giorgios Doumanis (front desk) and Yannis Baxevanidis (restaurant), were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast...
Very confortable beds, very clean room and well furnished and designed. Staff absolutely professional and helpful. Perfectly located in center. Good quality at the restaurant. Last not least : Playlist that you can here always good quality with old Standart and rarities of real and original songs, which is a pleasant and rare thing to hear in such places nowadays
I was very happy with my room. The service was all very helpful and kind, the restaurant recommendations that they gave me truly improved my visit to Thessaloniki. The breakfast was good overall, but the coffee was quite bad (but there are very nice coffee shops around).
Very good location to visit old city , museums and White Tower, and go around the seaside. Value for money, everything works well, neat and breakfast is good
Very nice, cozy rooms. Wonderfull view from the top stories. Good breakfast. Excelent position between various impressive sights.

My family stayed in this hotel over a number of days in August 2025 and they provided excellent customer service. The rooms were very clean, well air-conditioned and had everything that we needed. The location was excellent: very central and within walking distance from many interesting sites and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, and helped us with any query that we had. ...
I found the hotel to be vary enjoyable and a very pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is one issue I would like to mention. We were a family of 5 with holiday suitcases, so we needed two taxis. On 5th August we got two taxis to the airport, arranged by the hotel and it was €25 per taxi. On the morning of the 16th August we again got two taxis to the airport, arranged...
Nice hotel, well located, friendly staff. Breakfast doesn't have many variety, however, it is a good selection. Rooms looked a bit smaller than on the photos on booking.com. Good cleaning. Walk distance to many tourist spots.
Friendly, relaxing 2 night stay in this centrally located city centre hotel. The bathroom had been recently refurbished to a high standard. The breakfast offered was very good with plenty of choice. All of the staff from reception to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend it.
Staying at Egnatia Palace was one of our best choices on our trip to Thessaloniki. Amazing staff, great services, top quality cleanliness, nice breakfast and the best location.
The rooms themselves are worth 4 stars but the service is amazing and a great location. Overall the value for money is great, and so is the location too. The Junior suite has indeed a bathtub with indents but everything else was in good condition. Its design is modern but could be more convenient. The breakfast is a continental buffet in an amazing decorum. The manager allowed a early check in for...

Kind staff, great location, close to the bus station and city center by foot. Rooms are a bit old and not maintained but comfortable bed, Air condition and fridge. For the price is great.
It's been years since I visit it but I can still taste it's tasty breakfast 😉😉
Just a f/p accomodation. It's in the city center. A little old but clean rooms and the bathroom. The breakfast was ok.
Prefect location, amazing staff, great breakfast, good Internet, nice beds, fine shower. Okay this a 3 star hotel, some part old but maintained, some painting could do god impressions, but for sure a accommodation I will return to again. Ahh nice big rooms and balcony, helps if your a smoker.
Pros: Very friendly staff, located in a suitable walking distance to al major sightings i.e. Ladadika, White Tower, Agios Dimitrios Church, clean hotel. Neutral: Area of location is a bit dodgy, out of dated decoration inside the room, breakfast is controlled by hotel personel which creates uncomfort during serving. Negative: Low price/value ratio, very old elevators which seems unproperly maintained...
A little bit old school hotel but 3 stars in that price is fair offer. Air condition works well and very silent during a night. Breakfast nothing special. Good location close the centre

Hotel is located in the best possible neghborhood- beautiful Agios Dimitrios street. Groundfloor was completely renovated. It looks high-tech, like a 4 star hotel but the rooms are the same like before. Overage but nice. No kettle , slippers and safe box. You can take hot water in the restaurant and use a safe box for free on the reception deak. Nice breakfast until 10:30.
Stayed here with a group of over 10 friends for 2 nights. I really don’t understand the most recent reviews! It’s very clean and comfortable, with good linens and towels, changed daily. Excellent WiFi. Simple but substantial traditional Greek buffet breakfast provided. It’s a good 30 minute walk down to the waterfront and the White Tower, but the history you pass en-route is amazing, or hail a taxi...
The hotel is close to the cathedral of Agios Demetrios, but a little bit far from the white tower. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was not good at all, very poor quality and variety. The entryway into the hotel is very narrow and with a large group it was very difficult to enter and most people had to wait outside while everyone was waiting for the elevator...
What an excellent hotel. The room was clean and cozy with very soft pillows to match. The front desk service was nothing but helpful and very professional. We would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was simple but delicious.
Mixed feeling which has pros and cons, was booked last minute due to urgent needs Pros: - Good location, supermarket is a few meters - Nice big clean Room - Great big bed - Great staff., Thank you Cons: Not a great bathroom, small shower, no curtains Sound of water flowing through the pipes day and night Air con was terrible Very small lift Overall, will not go again.
Excellent service . Very kind staff and a great location to get you right into the culture of the Thessaloniki. Was able to walk to the sea in like 30 min. Also there's a great restaurant about 10 meters from the hotel that has great gyros.

A very stylish hotel at a great location and a very reasonable price!
The rooms are a bit small, but it was completely normal stay for us - after all we just wanted a place to sleep. It's near the city center and there is underground parking (paid) which was also fine for us.
Really nice room, cheap, clean and a really good service! Helped us to find a good car rental office. Thanks for everything! We will come again :)
We stayed here in October, 2018. Perfect for our requirements. Room was large and the bed clean and very comfortable. Area was quiet so we could leave the window open and have a good nights sleep. Very pleasantly surprised! This is a famous hotel near the sea. Go downstairs and walk to the left to the seaside, and walk to the right to the pier. The hotel is close to the attractions, but you can walk to the attractions in the city center. The room has a kitchen and kitchenware, so you can cook. You can see the sea from the hotel window, you can take a look at the photos you took for reference
Very nice room and clean. In a central part of the city, next to the oil shops. The disadvantage is, apart from the noise of the street which you know when booking, there are two nightclubs opposite which are loud until 6 in the morning despite the triple windows.
My favorite place to stay in one of my favorite cities. Small coffee shop next door is really great
I booked the hotel for a friend and he was very satisfied. He said the location was very good and it was very convenient to go to various attractions! But that night, several people in the next room got drunk and kept making noise until the early hours of the morning!
It gave me enough surprises, and my children were also very satisfied. The sense of space in the house and the arrangement of the sofas were very elegant and pleasant. I hope Ctrip can control similar overseas hotels so that everyone will be more willing to share the meaning of travel with Ctrip. It's close to the city's famous attractions and close to the sea.
The landlord is very nice. I was in a hurry. The landlord helped me call a taxi at 1am. The location of the house is very good and convenient. You can see the sea if you walk forward. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the White Tower. I spent a lot of time I paid 7 euros and took a boat ride, which was really good.

We had a very pleasant stay at your hotel; everything was clean and tidy, the breakfast was always good, and the hotel staff were very friendly. I only have one complaint: the taxi you called for me charged 10 euros for a ride of just 2 kilometers, which doesn’t make much sense. Otherwise, thank you again – we’ll see you next time!
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were super friendly and patient. The breakfast was tasty with a decent variety of sweet and savory. Fresh and full of flavor. The room and bathroom was smaller than expected but the bed was super comfortable and our balcony was a good size. Overall very pleased and definitely worth the money for a 3 start hotel. We will be back thank you so much
Such a cute hotel, definitely one of the more up-scale places in Thessaloniki after the renovation!
The hotel has very good location, just 15 min walk to the Aristotle square and seashore promenade. The room was clean with comfortable beds. Wifi worked properly during our stay. The breakfast was good, but the coffee options, included in the breakfast were limited. The staff were polite and ready to help.
The hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Our room, bed and bathroom were a bit snug but I chose a standard for 2 ppl, which is fine for 3 day stay. We had a small terrace which was nice. Breakfast is fresh and abundant. Location is perfect, just 5mins walk down to market and all restaurants in the city.
Nice clean room, professional and friendly staff. The only thing is you can’t get food delivered because they have a restaurant. I ordered room service the whole time I was here. The food is great but the menu is limited. If you have dietary restrictions this might not work. Otherwise, I would recommend it.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years and always had a great experience which explains why I choose it again and again. Until, on the 2nd day of my stay, early in the morning, a woman knocked and just entered my room while I was asleep. No permission. I was shocked. There is a problem with their savage system. Asked them to repair my toilet as flush doesn’t work. They didn’t repair it. You are expecting more comfort after paying that amount of money but hotel is really old and I don’t think it’s value of the money has given

City Gate Hotel was an unexpected jewel! We chose it for its proximity to the airport, but it's like an oasis where it's located. Everything is mediocre, the pictures are misleading, rooms don't look like that. Breakfast is ok but the tables are not enough for a hotel that size. By the way there is no swimming pool and the parking area that they say they have is always full. The view of the church from the balcony was good though.
We stayed here for 1 night. The room was more like a hostel than a hotel. Don't expect any miracles. It doesn't look like the pictures at all. Average. Old furniture and bathroom, nothing special.
