City Gate Hotel Airport

City Gate Hotel was an unexpected jewel! We chose it for its proximity to the airport, but it's like an oasis where it's located.

We arrived too early for check-in, but we were allowed to store our luggage. Later, when we returned and checked-in, my wife realized her purse was missing. After several minutes of panic, she approached the front desk and the lady at the desk said she saw her purse and moved it to a more secure location ❤️.

The owner and the staff were all super friendly and very accommodating. The room was immaculate with comfy beds. The complimentary bottle of wine and water were just what we needed to wind down. The morning breakfast was very reasonably priced and quite good. And the owner shuttled us to the airport the next morning. Every part of our short stay at City Gate was absolutely DELIGHTFUL! It was the perfect way to end our wonderful time in Greece.

Location - excellent. Rooms spotless clean but it was the hosts / reception staff that went out of their way to make me welcome , comfortable and at home. So kind and caring staff …I was feeling unwell upon arrival … definitely recommend.

I enjoyed staying 2 nights there, they have good breakfast, nice lobby and stuff. The girls from reception are sweet, and one of them is playing chess)) i would love to come back.

We stayed one night as we recovered from a long flight and got ready to pick up a car to explore greece. The service was outstanding. From the airport pick up, to check in, helping us order take-out from a nearby restaurant and a welcome treat, everything was perfect. The breakfast buffet, the decor and the hospitality of all staff, made this stay a 5 star for us. We have stayed in many hotels close to the airport, all over the world, city gate is in our top 3.

The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast was a surprise. It was a great breakfast and the location of the hotel was good to get to the airport quickly. You can’t walk to restaurants but they offer to call a delivery service. The owner was super friendly. We highly recommend this hotel if you need a hotel close by the airport.

I arrived in Thessaloniki just before 8:00 pm. I called to let the hotel know I was ready for the shuttle to pick me up. Before I could make it to spot #5, he was there with a sign and a smile. At the hotel, check-in was quick and off to the room I went. I slept like a baby. I was treated like family every day. Thank you! ❤️

This is a quaint hotel located just minutes from the airport with a 5 star staff and 5 star customer service.

Lovely breakfast with some specialities the one I loved the most has been a hi quality honey 🍯 specially provided from biological harvesting in the forest.

The hotel scope is to serve as logistic point near airport, excellent position and very quite rooms

Perfect family hotel.
Perfect for 1 night.
My wife forgot her phone at the plane and they went over their head to help
me. Drove me back to the airport , spoke to the woman there and found it for us!
We were 16 guests with children.
All rooms were ready as we asked.

Cheked in at 0:00 front desk staff was really nice! Imediatly helped with the bags and explained about the hotwl. Room is waht you expect from 3 stars. Well apointed clean and was prepared for three people wirh the opening of the second bed. Complementary bottle of wine and huge bottle of water. We were complemented with breakfast for free. Breakfast buffet is well appointed. Staff is very very helpful.

Average rooms, shower needs some attention. But our welcome in the late evening was very nice. There was a bottle of wine waiting and water. On the house. After being robed ( charged far to much just 2 kilometers) by two local taxidrivers. The cross in the car didn’t represent their actions :-(. Thanx again city gate hotel for welcoming us in the proper way to Thessaloniki! Well done.
