Hotel Nizza
Florence, Via Giglio 5 🧭 Map
Well run small hotel near both Cathedral and railway station. Comfortable room with kettle. Good breakfast. Pleasant host. Reasonable cost.
Great place to start your journey in Firenze. Just In the middle between railway station and old town. Rooms are cosy, but include of everyting you may desire. Definately a place worth staying in. Staff helpfull and very kind.
We booked this hotel last minute (the evening before) and it was just perfect. The stuff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel looked so sweet inside too!
The hotel is very centrally located. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very charming and you feel very comfortable. The price/performance ratio is very good.
Hotel Nizza has a superb location! It's a 3 minute walk away from most main landmarks, such as the main Florence Cathedral as well as the St Lorenzo cathedral. The rooms are clean, and the bathroom is good. The hotel is dated and aged which you'll feel when you see your room, but it adds a vibe to being in Florence. The bed did sink in a bit, so not the best. A shower and shampoo 2-in-1 sachet is provided...
Friendly and pleasant. Would stay here again. The included breakfast is ample. Beds are comfortable. Rooms clean and in good condition.

It's all about the location, and helpful staff.
Ac was not good in the occasion we were there, and we had a rough time since it was really hot outside. OK breakfast. Another positive was that we got help for the parking inside the limited traffic area very close to the hotel, which was a big help.
Overall, the hotel was quite good, the location is perfectly awesome and super convenient to reach almost every attractions of the city centre. The staff there were very helpful.
Lovely old hotel in the center of town, great for access to all the main sights. Good comfy bed clean friendly staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast, reasonable price
The location is fantastic. Very central but the hotel would be politely called tired. It's old & the rooms need a refurbishment. Cracked tiles & tiny bathroom. But as I said location is fantastic. And made a great base for a short trip.
It was small and old hotel. It was very near city center and central train station. If price is good you should stay.!
I really enjoyed staying here. I don't remember what the cost was, and I didn't eat at the hotel, but I could smell something delicious cooking from my window. I read other reviews that mentioned the hotel is dated, and it is, but I liked that about it. I left my key at the desk each day though because I wandered the streets carrying just my money and phone and my camera. No room for that very large...

Amazing!!! This hotel is amazing and Alessandro at the from desk is supper!!! He goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a great stay!!! Location is great!!!
I really enjoyed staying here. Lots of restaurants, music at night and not far from many attractions. The clerk was super helpful. Breakfast was the best! They also held our luggage after checkout on our last day. I would stay here again.
Charming hotel with enthusiastic and kind staff, and in a perfect location from which to explore Florence. It’s relatively no-frills, but breakfast was nice, the bed was comfortable, and all of the staff we interacted with were helpful and kind. Despite being on a Main Street, the windows were quite soundproof. The decor of the room is a little bland and could be changed to better fit the building...
Boutique hotel, 14 rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. 3 to 4 person room was clean and roomy with vertical space to put things and ample amount of outlets. Overall, very good, the only problem was the noise coming from the street during the night. 10 minute walk from the train station and in the heart of the city.
Super friendly, easy going, great value, and perfect location hotel.
We were very happy to stay here; the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice and fresh, and the rooms extremely clean.
The hotel is small with maybe 15 rooms, the staff remembers you, is helpful with recommendations and there are bars, restaurants and tourist sights just outside the door.
If we come back...
Great place. Very clean and comfy. Good breakfast by Italian standards. Right in the heart of the city. Well priced

Florence, Via Nazionale, 8a, San Lorenzo 🧭 Map
Small hotel very close to the Santa Maria Novella station, about 15 minutes walk from the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral and 5 minutes walk from the central market. The cleanliness is average, the staff polite and helpful. The breakfast is a bit poor. There are some adjustments that should be made to the maintenance of the rooms.
Recently renovated of course but:
- entrance to the hotel which does not tempt you,
- room not neat (basic renovations)
- small bathroom
- TV with only 1 channel and still when it works,
- no curtain so you have to keep the blind closed!,
- industrial breakfast with little variety,
- location not bad but the location in the evening is somewhat strange…
Good points :
- well placed for visits and next...
We had a room where the heating did not work, we asked to fix it and when they could not fix it, they changed our room. Very happy the truth, in addition to an excellent location, I would return
The entire hotel smells like rags..... Thanks to you, I caught a cold. It was so narrow that I couldn't really open my suitcase, but the location is really the best.... The breakfast was okay. The breakfast I ate while looking at the same color roof scenery of Florence was not envious of any other cafe.
Near city center, all restaurant , Train station and supermarket very very good location nice smell don't have iron
it was a rewarding stay and hotel . staff at reception and breakfast room extremely nice. i will return breakfast was great filling u for the whole day

Hotel Villa Betania
Florence, Viale Poggio Imperiale 23 🧭 Map
The hotel's location is very close to Michelangelo Square, a 5-minute drive away. It is very convenient to go to the square in the morning to see Florence; the staff are friendly and the recommended restaurants and tourist routes are great! The villa has a beautiful environment, but the only drawback is that there is no hot water kettle or coffee machine in the room.
Parking is very convenient and there is a large yard. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic and can help introduce travel routes and help with luggage.
The staff was very friendly...the facilities were also great...it was great value for money.
Excellent location close to the city centre, with parking, nice staff as well.
Very friendly people, the room was very clean and spacious...garden and parking of hotel are really fantastic, breakfast was also very good

Hotel Aurora
Florence, Via Luigi Alamanni 5 50123 Firenze,Via Luigi Alamanni 🧭 Map
In Florence we broke our stay in two parts. One in the city at the Aurora and second at a Vinyard. Both location were awesome Part -1 the Aurora hotel has great location just close to.the station and has a historic feel to the whole place. If you are hiring car be careful as many one way streets. I got ticket after reaching home for going into a wrong lane. It was fun in a way as it was my 1st and...
Was the on holiday 4 years ago, lovely hotel, small and old setup, can hear next day having fun, location was perfect, just infront of train station, nearby lot touriest area.
convenient place for restaurants, shops, churches.
Walking distance to coaches to THE MALL.
lot of historical area nearby, all walking distance.
nice place for short holiday, couples and families.
Pretty safe hotel.

Fantastic experience with this hotel. Convenient to the train station but it's not affected by noise or traffic. Our room and bathroom was a good size, clean and comfortable. The hotel is not a far walk to many of the city's key attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and was very tasty.
Probably the best hotel we stayed in out of the 3 that we did. The rooms were lit magnificently, the bathrooms were very clean and put together well. House keeping stayed on top of everything, front desk service was extremely nice and talkative in English. Well versed in other languages as well. If you want to stay in a fancy hotel, this one is not for you: it's the kind of cozy hotel with nice staff. The breakfast is not that good, the elevator is kinda old and creepy , the wifi is very slow (around 1mbps)and the tv is so small you can't see a thing, but everything else is pretty good.
Rooms need to be renewed. Bathroom is good. The TV is so small it's like not having one. The wifi works only interminently. Morning breakfast is good but the owner will go crazy at you if you dare bringing your coffee in the room!

We spent two nights in this hotel on May 7, 8, the hosts are very kind and attentive, it was very good and pleasant to communicate with them, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, the location is very good, the security of the hotel is protected. The night was very quiet at the location of the hotel. The breakfast was quite good and I would love to return to this hotel if I come to Florence again
We have just got back from a 3 night stay at the Hotel Giglio which we absolutely loved. Marco and Manuela were so friendly and helpful, they gave us lots of good tips for places to visit in the city, and they were really welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and the room was great. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was great too. Our room had modern air conditioning which was a blessing after...
I love this cozy hotel that has delightful caring owners! They make great suggestions & take time to give exact directions to sights. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. The best in Italy in my opinion! Including fresh fruit salad
This is a really convenient hotel, just 10 minutes (max) walk to the centre of Florence and even less to other attractions such as the Accademia gallery and the San Marco museum. We were given a warm and friendly welcome upon check in by Marco and provided with lots of useful information about the area. Our room was very clean and had excellent air con thankfully, as we were visiting during an unexpected...
We had booked for 4 nights. Excellent welcome, the owner couple is extremely kind: always there to provide information, give restaurant addresses....The hotel is quiet, while being about 15 minutes from the historic center. it is possible to leave your car in a car park (which does not belong to the hotel) and which is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Excellent breakfast. For sure if we come back to...
The hotel is located about twenty minutes on foot from Florence train station, and fifteen minutes from the Duomo (it's straight ahead!). Our room was spacious and functional, the bedding very good, no complaints. Two very special mentions: - Very good breakfast, lots of fresh, quality products - Very warm welcome from Marco and his team, smiling, helpful, and lots of good advice (in French too!)....

The owner is so friendly and helpful! He even let me choose the rooms myself since he got both available. The room is cozy with good AC and fridge. Location is great, close to the central station.
The boss is very enthusiastic and helps introduce city information. The hotel is very close to the train station, only a three-minute walk away, and about a 20-minute walk from the Duomo.
Nice location and the host is very nice and make your feel at home.
The location is very good. There is a train station behind it. It only takes about ten minutes to walk to the Duomo and Milan Market. It is a family hotel. The room is not big, but it is very clean and tidy. The boss is very enthusiastic. He went downstairs to help me carry my luggage, and then took out a map and enthusiastically told me which attractions I could visit nearby.
The hotel owner was very friendly and helped us provide various travel information and solve some temporary problems we encountered.
The elevator is small, and you have to go up the stairs, so it was a bit difficult because you have a lot of luggage. The owner is a kind and cheerful person. It would be good for those who want to stay for a day at a low price.

I stayed a weekend with my daughter in Florence, because she had an important violin test. The place is pretty good for a 3*, the location is unbeatable, it has a buffet breakfast option, I did not take it because there are many restaurants nearby. The staff is quite friendly, but they don't have an assistant for your luggage, there are stairs everywhere and the elevator only goes up to the 1st floor, that's a big disadvantage, at the reception they give you all possible facilities and useful...
We had a night to stay in Florence before returning home. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel convenient to train and tram stops. This hotel fits these criteria perfectly. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Not luxurious but a good place to spend a night or two.
Excellent value budget hotel. Location is great. Everything you want to see is very walkable. Hotel is spotlessly clean with everything you would want-air con, hairdryer etc . They don’t do breakfast but have an arrangement with the fabulous Hotel Adler. Biggest plus point is the helpful, charming and cheerful staff. Especially the evening receptionist who deserves a customer service award.
Small welcoming hotel at incredible budget price. Cosy, neat , clean , modern room with tea facilities and big tv with Netflix options etc . I know some people have said their room was more dated but I had a very modern junior suite. It had a crisp white double bed and it also came with two extra beds and plenty of room so it’s a good option if friends are coming , I can imagine me and a couple...

Clean property in a decent neighborhood. The staff were very pleasant and they served a great breakfast.
Simple hotel with a great central location. Room was basic, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was excellent. Staff were polite and helpful. Lift is small but helpful. Even with lift, stairs are necessary. Food for breakfast was average.

My mother and I stayed here in it’s such a homey hotel. It is a touch of the old with all the paintings as doors and paintings all around. I asked and was told this hotel was a monastery before, and now I know why it looks like this. I love it. The rooms are simple and clean ALTHOUGH my only 3 complaints will be 1. The smell in my bathroom in room 105. 2. The unfriendly lady in the breakfast area...
Very pleased with this choice. The hotel is near train station and not so far from the historical center. We asked for a room at the last floor and is was very quite (noise only from the neighbours). The room was not very big but nice and clean. Bathroom with towel and soap/shampoo/shower gel. The wifi is very good. Air conditioning works properly. The breakfast was divers and good. No complains....
Amazing little hotel right in the middle of everything. Few minutes from the Duomo. Surrounded by little streets full of restaurants and coffee shops and pizzerias. Extra friendly staff. We loved it. Truly recommend it for anyone visiting Florence.
Lovely decorated hotel close to everything by foot. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, loved the art on the room doors. Very good attentive service from the staff. Close to train station, close to all the sights, some wonderful restaurants around the corner from the hotel. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Florence.
Stayed here for 4 nights as a base in Florence. We stayed in 2019 pre-COVID, and still found the hotel to be a great base, located near the train station and within walking distance of the main sights. Very beautiful place, very silent area, friendly staff with good English, good breakfast, air conditioner in room, very clean! Highly recommended!
The hotel is fairly well located about 15 minutes walk from the center of Florence. I stayed in April and it was incredibly warm, but the air conditioning wasn't turned on so I had to leave the window open which meant very noisy nights.
Nice place. Great breakfast. Close to city center.

Nice hotel, everything as expected, and just outside city center was only 15-20 min walk from key tourist locations/sites/museums. Only issue was the mattress - no springs, just slats, and mattress was old and thin.

Overall, this is a decent hotel for the price. Nothing particularly bad, but also not amazing. Two things I would note, however: the front desk staff's grasp of English isn't the best (you will get by unless you have a very specific request), though they absolutely get points for trying; and, when you book a room with an external private bathroom what that means is that you get two keys - one for your...
Location was pretty central. In a very walkable area. Only about 5 minutes from the duomo and the train Station. Breakfast is HUGE, with lots of choices. They will also make eggs and toast upon request. Room was somewhat basic but clean and comfortable.

Hotel City is a strange little hotel in the heart of Florence that's a short walk from the train station. The room and location were great. Some staff do not speak English, especially the evening shift, and the elder gentleman working at the reception in the evening was making inappropriate remarks to my friend who I was talking with in the lobby.
