Hotel Renaissance
Florence, Via Della Condotta 4 🧭 Map
Sabina was an excellent host. She did a great tour with us ($). We did not do the in house breakfast due to numerous restaurants in the immediate area. Great steam closet in the bathroom!
This is a nice clean hotel in a spectacular location. You simply can’t beat the location and the hotel has done a great job of updating the rooms in an old building. We will stay here again on our next visit to Florence.
Lovely room with fresco ceilings, beautiful friendly and helpful stage, close to everything. Beautiful stay. Thank you.
This hotel is wonderful: the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, staff is friendly and check-in/out times are somewhat flexible.
There is an elevator up to the hotel floor which is very fortunate (you’ll only have to go up a 10-step staircase to get to it, better than most Italian accomodations). Wifi works great, you’ll need it as no cellular signal whatsoever gets through the thick walls and...
Great to get an early check-in, welcoming host and full of information about the history of the building and the area. And lovely room and bathroom. And luggage could be stored there for a while after checkout. Great all round.
Love love love this quaint hotel. Hidden gem! Close to everything. The staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend it

Hotel well decorated, clean, nice and friendly staff.
Owners gave some great recommendations and directions. Easy to use nearby public transportation. Issue with maintenance in kitchen had no impact on breakfast as they provided us with coupons to bar across street. Late loud neighbors upstairs but you can't have everything. Otherwise phenomenal.
Comfortable hotel.very kind and helpful staff. Parking nearby
Florence
It was wonderful. The staff are super nice and professional. The place is romantic and welcoming. They do go the extra mile to help with any question concerns and do have great recommendations for dinner as well as how to get around the city. Love this place and will give them not a 10 but a 12. Definitely looking forward to come back on my next vacation to Florence
Monica and her staff were kind, polite, and extremely Helpful with directions, bringing up luggage, providing bus tickets, and calling a taxi for us. Dino provided us with attentive service at breakfast, which is included. Very reasonable rates for all services and comfort provided. They run the hotel in a very professional manner to accommodate guests. The hotel and rooms are very clean and quaint...

Great location and near the terminal station. The hotel is perfect for staying a couple of days. The staff was very nice and really helpful. About the breakfast a few options but overall 10 out of 10.
The location is excellent, right by the station! It was incredibly helpful that they held our luggage after check-out. All the staff were friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, though there were many sweet options like cakes.
Overall, it's fine for a one-night stay. The breakfast was decent, but the hotel is quite dated.
Very convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the train station.
An old building converted to a hotel. Love the antique lift.
It was an okay hotel, but nothing particularly memorable.

We stayed in the hotel for 5 days, staff are very nice and try to accommodate you, the sheets , towels are clean, beds are not comfortable, it is so soft because it has soft mattress on top. As far as location, it is located in quiet street but it is not in good area. One side of it toward train is not good for walk , no place for pedestrians and watch putt for cars. Breakfast is just good to eat slice...
This family run hotel is very nice and at a good price for Florence. Rooms were a reasonable size for Florence. The bathroom was good and the bed comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was included and had cooked and continental options. Staff were very friendly and helpful
This hotel provides all the basics and more. Updated rooms with a large bathroom and bidet. Refreshments and a breakfast were included in my stay. The staff were wonderful, friendly, encouraged us to stay and rest longer even after checkout. We had an emergency overnight stay and had to remain in the area unexpectedly. The most helpful part of this experience was finding this hidden hotel gem,...
This is a family-run hotel a short walk from the S. M. Novella railway station, the historic centre of Florence, and quite near to the Ponte Vecchio. It's an ideal base for visiting Florence, particularly as the organised day-trips by tour companies start and end at the railway station, a real bonus when some start just after 7am. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and really made us feel...
This hotel was a lovely walk from the centre of Florence, we found it easily after arriving by train. Checkin went smoothly and we got a room for 4 on the 4th Floor. The room was compact yet had everything we needed with a beautiful view. With 4 people it was too hot even with the aircon but reception kindly gave us a fan which was welcomed and appreciated. The staff gave us lovely recommendations...
This hotel is fine for a short stay and for the price. It’s a prime example of ‘you get why you pay for’. The location is great. Only 1 block away from the riverside and really close to the train station. Very walkable to several attractions. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, there were no doonas on the bed, only a flat top sheet, which got cold at night. The safe did not work. There was...

Fabio at the front desk welcomed us with a smile and gave us lots of helpful information. He was so kind and friendly. He called a taxi for us too. He went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome.
Hotel Ferrucci saved us. We had made the mistake of booking our other hotel for one less day than we needed and had to last minute scramble. Ferrucci was literally the only hotel with vacancy in the city and we snagged the last room. For that, I will be forever grateful.
In terms of review, this place is definitely a budget option with a no-frills motel vibe and it's further away from the core of...
The location of this hotel is amazing. Not too distant from the city center but quiet and calm during the night. Our room was relatively big but the furniture was randomly located (I was with my boyfriend and we had one king size bed+2 unnecessary really big single beds)😁. The bathroom was clean but the walk-in shower was too uncomfortable for me since there wasn't a handheld shower so everytime I...
Easy accessible by car. We left our car in the private parking lot next to the hotel for €10 which is a bargain for being that close to the city center. The room was clean and the host was very kind. Definitely recommend it!
Really good location if you arriving by car, cheapest parking in the area. You could park you car at hotel and reach center of Florence in less than 10 minutes by bus. Nice personal, cozy building.
Noisy in the morning, really bad lighting in the room, no kettle
Spacious rooms that are nicely decorated. Great selection of TV channels. Common balcony that looks on to the River Arno. Basic breakfast buffet available at 6 euro. Consider grabbing breakfast around the corner at Bottega di Pasticceria.

We’ve had an excellent one night stay here. Before we even arrived they helped us find safe and affordable parking for our camper (Garage Medici - also fantastic service!). The room was clean and cool, lovely shower, very comfortable bed. Good breakfast in the morning. Location is approximately 20 min walk from the city centre so no need for taxis. Thank you for such a lovely stay and top notch service
Cllean and comfortable room, receptionist also polite and helpfull, very recommended for travel with family
The hotel pleasantly surprised with its great location - all the main attractions are easily and quickly accessible on foot. The rooms are very clean and cozy. I would like to emphasize the high level of service: the staff is always friendly, responsive and ready to help in any situation. We will definitely come back here again.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The check-in process was convenient and done through WhatsApp. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and comfortable.
Lovely hotel, just 10 minutes away from the main station and city center.
The staff is really kind and the room was cozy and quiet, with all the necessities, from mini bar fridge to iron.
A lovely, small hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable; the city is right on the doorstep but the hotel is on a quiet street. There are all the normal noises you'd expect from a busy city but nights are tranquil. Service is friendly and personal. We are a family of four and we took two rooms. Nice big bedroom for family with 2 kids!
Great location, close to metro station. Staff was very kind guiding us and storing our luggage.
Reviews are old and hotel is pretty nice fridge didnt work but other than that it was clean and staff was really nice
I honestly have no clue why this hotel has such low ratings. It has been the perfect experience for my husband and I in Firenze! Is it luxurious? No. But it is comfortable, clean, easy to access, nice staff, and safe? Hell yea! Location: The walk from the train station to here was easy, even with our bags on the cobblestone. This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Rome. The location is super convenient, and the triple room we booked was quite spacious. The breakfast was good too.
Excellent! The room was very spacious, and the TV was a Samsung 7-series, which allowed us to watch Netflix.
I really loved this hotel! It was super clean and smelled great. The breakfast was delicious, I ate so much, haha!
The balcony wasn't furnished with a table and chairs as shown in the pictures. I chose the room without breakfast, but there's a bakery nearby, which is convenient. It's also quite close to Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, making it easy to go shopping.
Our stay at Hotel Orto de’ Medici in Florence was charming and memorable. The hotel’s location is excellent—close enough to walk to major attractions like the Duomo and Accademia Gallery, yet tucked away on a quieter street that gives the area a relaxed, authentic feel.

The location is great, close to the train station. The host was very welcoming, and check-in was straightforward – just contact them in advance. I also felt it was quite safe, and they offered complimentary cookies and coffee. The apartment is a bit old, but it was very warm, not cold at all in winter, thanks to the heating.
The hotel is a little hard to find, but it's clean and tidy. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of the train station and popular attractions, and the surrounding area has excellent amenities.
I stayed here with my mother for two nights, and it was a very warm and welcoming experience. It made my first trip to Florence an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable memory.
Franco’s service was outstanding. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit and provided all the information we needed.
The accommodation is also conveniently located within walking distance from the train station...
The location near SMN station was excellent, and we were warmly welcomed by the very kind owner. We also appreciated the complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea. Although the facility is a bit old, the heating worked very well even in winter, making for a comfortable stay.
The owner service are really great!
When we come in, he give us a map and briefing the recommended travel route. Owners prepare some snack and drink are really nice too!
The room is big and heater working ! U can walk 10-15 min around to go to the Main Street.
Love it!

Excellent central location with friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was a buffet style and tea/coffee was available in the dining room 24 hours a day. Room was comfortable and the building had lots of charm. We had a very enjoyable stay
Fabulous re-purposed Palace, with antique frescoes and painted ceilings. Great views from room. Well appointed bathroom. Very close to the main visitor locations.
Concierge staff were most helpful. A few stairs to climb in between Lift stops, be prepared !
All the staff at this hotel were very professional and always helpful with any questions we had! The hotel is in a busy but good location that is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Our room was a bit dated and not really well lit, but it was very clean and well stocked. Great location and service. Our room was perfect for 4 of us. Lots of noise from outside during the night, some nearby residents were partying a good part of the night and then trash collection started just as they went to bed. Great location, clean and very nice, friendly staff. The shower is very difficult to step into and would be my only negative. I probably would not stay just because of that ( I am on the shorter side) but older adults might have a difficult time with it as well.
We had an excellent stay at hotel Albergo in Florence. The hotel is perfectly located: close enough to the train station to walk and a 5 mins walk to just about every attraction you can imagine. The rooms were very quiet, spotless, and staff were beyond helpful and so kind. The breakfast was amazing with many food choices and we would definitely stay here again. We loved it!

Stopped here for a quick stay in Florence and have nothing but good things to say. The staff, the breakfast, the rooms, the location, the cleanliness, the aesthetic — seriously perfect! Highly recommend!
The hotel itself is historic, clean and comfortable. However we barely got any sleep due to the noise below... Live music was performed right outside our window until after 12am. I cannot believe Florence doesn't have a noise ordinance...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pendini. The location is great, with short walks to the major attractions. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. The rooms had a lot of charm and definitely were memorable. I would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing special but good value for your money
This hotel is really great. I chose the annex building, which has a great environment and atmosphere. The breakfast was also very rich, the internet was stable, and the room was clean. It is very close to the core attractions. You can see the Cathedral of Santa Maria delle Grazie from the window, the Accademia Gallery is just around the corner, and the Uffizi and Pitti Palace are a 15-minute walk away

Booked 2 nights here just for the location. Hard to beat! Room was good enough but no counter space in recently renovated bathroom. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Very friendly staff.
The whole leaving your key thing is weird and doesn’t make sense because they give you another key to get in the building after hours. Why not just let us keep both??
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got us checked in early. The room was nice and the bed was wonderful. Easy walking distance to pretty much anywhere you want. The breakfast was above average. Would stay there again.
The location of this hotel is very convenient. The staffs are very kindly and helpful. Will recommend to my friends.
Very near to bell tower , around the hotel have shops for shopping .
Fantastic location right in the city center, everything is within walking distance. All the sights, museums and lots of cafes and restaurants right in the vicinity. The room was okay. We had to pay an extra of €30 for two nights for our baby's cot, which I think is outrageous. Not happy about that.

The hotel has a great sense of space and is very sunny and comfortable. Green trees, sunshine and high ceiling design make the room full of layering. The soft beige and coffee-colored lighting is warm and pleasant. The toilet is also very big. The TV is in the perfect spot and everything is just right. The breakfast was also very rich. The keys have a golf ball design which is very cute.
I often sit here every time I come. It's better to have a parking lot behind.
Clean room with daily room service but they are small rooms and the facilities are limited; I was in Florence on a 6 night stay and there was a very small fridge and aircon in the ensuite room only. No kettle, iron or other facilities which would have made the room more comfortable. There is no bar for an evening aperitif etc. Bathrooms seemed newly renovated in the room
and were spacious in comparison...
Room is okay at best. Bed is comfortable. AC doesn't work that well, my room was hot all night and the AC is noisy. Kinda pricy for a room with poor AC.
The key they give you is ridiculous. A large metal handle attached to a golf ball. It's large and heavy, the last thing you want to carry around with you all day as you're out exploring.
Breakfast was okay, coffee is good.
My family and I recently stayed at the Hotel Golf in Bologna and had a positive experience. This hotel is very close to the city center. And the stuff was very nice. We arrived early and parked our car there after we checked out.
The hotel is located half an hour's walk from the train station, a little less to Santa Maria del Fiore. Right next to the hotel there is a bus stop, from where a bus goes directly to the train station (relevant if you have a lot of luggage with you, the narrow streets of Florence are not conducive to walking with luggage). My room was large, spacious, beautiful. Breakfast can be rated at 7.5/10. I...
I stay at this hotel almost every time I bring a group to Florence for business. The price is quite reasonable. The rooms are a bit dated, but I guess that adds to the character of the building. When you step into the hotel, it feels like you have stepped back in time. As for customer service, most of the staff need training and are a bit impatient. But the people outside the hotel are very polite...
Enjoyed my stay! However, I recommend reaching out to the hotel before arriving to ask for rooms not on the ground floor as it might be noisy since 5 close to the lobby. Luckily, I got a quit room on the 1st floor, so I enjoyed a pleasant stay 🙏
About 20mins walk to the city center, which is convenient.
I visited the hotel with my family. The staff was very friendly and kind. The triple room was big, clean and the beds was very comfortable. The breakfast was good. The hotel is cheap, clean, well located and the staff friendly. The breakfast is correct (the coffee machine might need a clean!)
The major inconvenience (in our room at least) would have to the noise coming from the pipes and the general sound insulation.

The hotel is a little far from the old town, but the transportation is very convenient. The service was very good. The front desk was very detailed in introducing us to all the details we wanted to know about the city and the hotel. It is worth recommending.
It's a bit like a family hotel. The room is not big and the toilet is very small, but there is a balcony where you can sit outside. Service was ok. The hotel is very close to the square where you can watch the sunset, so you can walk back after watching.
Wow! Hotel David is among the treasures to be found in Florence. I had been disappointed when we couldn’t book our first choice hotel, but now I’m convinced it was some kind of divine intervention. I can't praise The Hotel David enough. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff makes you feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and kindness. It's not often that a hotel makes you want to spend time there, but their Happy Hour is truly something special—one you definitely won't want to miss. In addition to the excellent wine, the variety of snacks is both generous and pleasantly surprising....

Clean, good breakfast, close to attractions
Everything was perfect! Grazie mille!!
We stayed in the hotel with a big group just before our wedding in Tuscany - the location is amazing!
What should be say - the people in Hotel Silla are outstanding and incredible! The stay was absolutely perfect. Mostly the service level exceeded all our expectations. Grazie mille especially to Massimo, Laura and the señora at the breakfast!
Booked last minute in an an emergency, literally walked in and asked for a room! Excellent customer service and food breakfast. The location is great as well, since you’re just across the river from the city centre but not too near the tourists.
Beautiful comfortable clean hotel, a very unexpected highlight of our trip to Florence. Friendly staff, perfect location away from the noise of the inner city. Great local food just around the corner. I would not stay anywhere else in Florence. Easiest and most deserved 5 star review ever.
