Relais Florence
Florence, Via Della Scala 48 🧭 Map
This place is in the perfect location. 2 blocks from the train station and 1/2 block to the inter-city bus station. City bus and laundromat right next door. Tons of restaurants close by and the River is 3 blocks away. The best place to people watch is the Piazza Santa Maria Novella - just 3 blocks from the front door. The people who run it - Pierro and Marsala are the perfect hosts. Very friendly and...
The room is spacious and clean. The staff is very polite and welcoming. There is no breakfast, but this is no problem since in every corner in Florence there are good bakery's and patisseries. The room has a microwave and they provide plates if asked. Loved this hotel and would definitely recommend.
Super friendly owner. Took a map and marked all the places that we needed to visit and also restaurants and the best gelateria. It really was one of the best that we had been to.
Great location, about 3 minutes walk from the station.
Super inviting owners, big rooms, great price, and perfectly placed near the train station. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area!

Quaint hotel. Steps from the train station. Nice breakfast. Very hot water. Nice staff.
Cons: no elevator- but they will help you with your luggage up. Showers are open glass so no privacy when sharing a room.
2 nights.
Great location - walkable to all attractions.
No elevator! Quite annoying with heavy suitcases, or after lunch... 😀
Mini-fridge, comfortable bed and room.
Good AC.
The bath is really stupid! Clear glass in the middle of the room - I don't get it.
Nice breakfast...
Excellent location next to the train station and close walking distance to almost everything. Staff are very attentive and helpful.
However, be aware there’s NO ELEVATOR in the hotel and front desk is not 24 hours, only until 8PM, which is not very convenient.
Location is good, however breakfast is very poor, quality of rooms is very low. Door in shower was broken, blanket looked terrible and smelled stinky, AC looked very dirty.
This is the best stay I had during my recent trip to Italy.
We got a room right next to the dining room, so it's very convenient for breakfast time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. A short walk from the S.M Novella train station. We can walk to all major sites from there too.
Hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the train station. Which is very convenient. It was so hot on the day and they filled the fridge in the room with water and drinks which was so nice 👍
Hotel reception closes at 8pm so you are given the code to get in the premises. The place itself is very dated and needs updating. There is no lift so you have to climb the stairs with the luggage, although we were...

This is a very good located hotel, is really close to the Basilica di Santa Croce and also others landmarks. Excellent attention. Very good breakfast option. Rooms with a lot of space. Hot water. Clean rooms. You can also have a little kitchen in your room. Rooms are kind of old.
Our flight was delayed for an hour so we are late arriving in the hotel and to our astonishment the hotel was closed after 10 o'clock and we are not aware that a hotel was unmanned and luckily our taxi driver waited and tried to ring the hotel for us but nobody answered but one of the people who are actually there visiting it's just happened that he came downstairs to have a cigarette outside and he...
comfortable place for staying during visit Florence. Close to the tourist venues, easy to reach most of the place by walk.
Nice hotel very close to the main tourist attractions in Florence. The free breakfast was much better than I expected. The staff is very friendly. We had a tour an hour earlier than the hotel's breakfast starting time and expected to miss out on the free breakfast. After telling the staff, the next morning they prepared the full spread breakfast specifically for us one hour earlier! It's this...
A very good place to sleep and get breakfast. The people who works there are very friendly. Is good hotel to visit Florence
What a great place! The rooms are very clean and the staff are super friendly. WiFi is included which was a bonus. Missed the breakfast but they were kind enough to bring out a tray of various pastries (which were quite delicious). Location is perfect, steps away from Basilica de Santa Croce, and close to the famous All'Antico Vinaio. We had plenty of time to explore after checkout and they were kind...

This is a good 2 star hotel. Cristina was awesome! Great recommendations as to where to eat. Very helpful. She put me in the one room with a balcony which overlooked an adjacent hotel courtyard. Being 2 star, the furnishings are basic, but I’m not lounging around the hotel room when I’m traveling, I’m out and about. Furnishings were fine. Nothing fancy. The bed was a foam mattress I believe and rather...
I stayed here for my weekend trip. The hotel is very quiet. Never had any issues with noisy next room neighbours or noisy staff working outside. I travel solo and the room they gave me was enough for a single person. Hotel looks clean. The furniture was a little bit old but it wasn't an issue for me. The room was cool enough even during the summer time, never turned on the AC. Interestingly, the room...
The budget hotel for your stay in Florence. When you are going to stay a couple of days in Florence you need a place to sleep ,refresh and breakfast. This small hotel gave us excactly that. If you are planning a short stay in Florence and are looking for a convenient average hotel, Tourist House is a most appropriate option. Situated at the very center of the city, close to the railway station, it offers small, yet cosy rooms, with all the basic amenities you may require, along with a typical, light breakfast, and most polite treatment by the staff. Don't expect luxury, but for an affordable...
Absolute shithole, quite literally raw sewage leaking from the macerator. Internet down for three days. Noisy as hell despite being the only one staying here.
Adorable, amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, great value. Our room was super quiet and dark- able.

The location to train station is good . About 309 m away . Sign board can be prominently displayed for guest to locate the place . Suggest : hotel is beside the Hertz company . Breakfast is reasonable for the price charge .
The train to Florence was significantly delayed, but 24-hour check-in was available, which was very helpful. The facility was not new, but it was clean and I felt safe staying there. It was also a good place to stay where I could fully enjoy the Italian atmosphere.
It was good and convenient to the transportation. And yes it was safe.
The location is very good, near the train station, very satisfied
Close to the train station, clean rooms with AC, fine breakfast and kind, professional staff. We stayed for three nights and have no complaints. Good value for money. Recommended.
Perfect option to stay near to the train station! Air conditioning works, clean room and bathroom. It was my 2d time in this hotel and I recommend it so much. Reception guys are very helpful and nice, breakfast included

Felt very safe, 3 security doors, great staff and a very good breakfast, in downtown centre of Florence, 5 minute walk to the Florence train station and close all of the major sights. We disliked the fluff air pillows that dissappear...
The entire staff was friendly and helpful, since this was our first time travel abroad we were mostly lost and had plenty of questions. Well placed in Florence
Well placed by the station and within good walking distance of various sights in Florence. Breakfast was continental and ample. My only reservation is the noise that emanates from the breakfast area very early in the morning with doors banging. We were in a room right next to the area.
The room was big with a window to a nice garden, everything related with the check in or check out was so easy, a solid option I would return to this place
My fiancé and I had a great visit here. The receptionist Mackey (I apologize if I’m misspelling the name) was very accommodating and courteous. She arranged for us to skip the long lineup for a nearby popular restaurant, and the hotel held onto our luggage and jackets for us after we checked out 😋 🙏🏾

When we were let down by airb&b the lovely owner of this beautiful hotel gave up her own room to accommodate us. Beautiful hotel with lovely large comfy bed. Perfect location to explore Florence. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend.
I cannot say enough about this place! The room was great: cold, clean, comfortable, and spacious. They also restocked your towels and made your bed. The receptionist was beyond awesome! She was very accommodating with checking me in. The best part was the location. I loved how it was so close to everything but very little outside noise came in! I will stay here again. The hotel feels very safe especially...
What a beautiful experience in Hotel Relais, Il Cestello. My husband and I travelled from Australia for an emergency trip to be with our daughter , hospitalised while on her vacation. My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Relais Il Cestello for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. It is located on the other side of the Arno river but very close to the historic areas and many great restaurants with many bridges nearby. Location is wonderful. For price, it worth mise even
I loved staying here and if I'm coming back to Florence one day, this will be the first place I check the room availability.
Strategic location near everything, big and clean rooms, a fantastic all day bistro in the same building, but l'll not come again, as it's very difficult to sleep at nights due to the high temperature in rooms even there are a/c, but centraly controlled keeping the temperature higher than 27-28 C.

Great location and nice, modern rooms
Great location to see the sights! Modern interior in an older building. Nicely decorated rooms. and access to a lounge with seating for many. Coffee and tea in both room and lounge.
The staff was very nice, hotel was very clean and nice, room was perfect. It was quiet, very updated, very clean and had cleaning service. I would definitely recommend.
Amazing experience, room super clean, bed comfy, staff was lovely. Easy to find. Allow you to store you belongings on check out
Clean, simple and comfortable rooms in the heart of the ancient city center. The location is super. The rooms are small but equipped with all comforts. The staff is friendly and professional. Very good quality-price ratio. However, you need to know that you have to pay to park your car,at this hotel as everywhere here in Florence, and it doesn't come cheap: 50 euros a day!
This is an absolutely amazing value for the money. Modern, clean, perfect location. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely room with balcony. Breakfast provided and luggage storage. Easy check in and check out. Very secure hotel. Walkable to all areas and train.

Perfect location for travel by train. Easy to walk to main attractions. Luggage storage and an amazing breakfast! Also the most comfortable pillows we have ever had at a hotel! Definitely worth the price!
Great location and spacious rooms
Very great location and spacious room. We had a family room for 5 person and it was a great value. The breakfast was a good surprise. I was expecting continental breakfast. It there was also eggs and sausages, fruits, bread, pastries, cereals, yogourt. Staff is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend.
Lovely hotel near the city centre. Clean and friendly with a very good morning breakfast. Rooms are cleaned daily. There are mosquitoes when it rains. keep windows closed. A bit noisy outside when you stay in the room by the entrance. Should give more keys to customers that are visibly not couples but friends sharing a room … specially if they are more than 2 Other than that… very nice place.

Very good hotel. Scenery is 5/5 room is 4/5. But wifi was bad. If i come Florence again, I would stay here again.
The breakfast and view were really good. But the room itself was not comfortable at all.
Except for it to be a great location there aren't too many plus points. The room was stuffy, the bathroom couldn't be more tiny...we had to walk side ways 😂 good view from the room. The staff asked us to leave the keys with them when we stepped out, found that weird.
Everything was nice, the view to the Duomo is amazing, everyone was really kind.

I had good expectations of this hotel. If you're travelling without a car you might have a different experience from me BUT if you are with a car DO NOT TRUST THEM! The hotel itself doesn't have a parking so the hotel gave me an address to a private parking. I was promised a price of €30 per day but when it came to pay I had to pay €72 per day. When I asked the reception about the parking, I was told...
It was a great decision to stay at hotel; around corner from train station, restaurants nearby, very centric. The best part was the A/C!
Decent hotel at walking distance from Florance S.M.N. Staff is very cooperative and proactive in terms of making check-in arrangements/instructions for guests.
Lovely little hotel very close to train station and city centre. We went with a 2 years old and got a pretty big room, however notice that they don't have a lift so it was challenging to bring the pram up and down the stairs everytimewe went for a walk. Really friendly and helpful staff. Would recomend for a short stay in Florence.
I stayed with this hotel along with My wife and daughter in May 2024.
Now before one actually starts to compare price vs delivery, please look at following aspect.
It is in Florence and not Asia. (I have stayed at 5star properties in Middle east at similar prices but the comparison is not right)
The real price vs amenities comparison should be basis the price offered by hotels in florence in similar...

the personal and very friendly service was excellent! and the tips very useful ! breakfast ok and good location, lovely place, clean and would go there again thank you for the wonderful stay brigitte
It was really nice and spacious and clean for a hotel in Italy
Theres 2 variaties of rooms (according to what I know):There are suites (Big rooms with a kitchen too) and small rooms (still quite nice though)
Would go back again
Great location! Room I had was great for a solo traveler. Not a great view. Peeked into a bigger room/suite and it was much bigger and nicer for a couple. I would stay again. Staff was nice and unobtrusive
The place is very nice, great location, my room was spacious and clean. What I didn't like was that the wi-fi was really bad. Was almost impossible to use it in the room and as a tourist it was something I really needed. Also in the morning I had to woke up at 6 every day, due to the noise of the track that was picking the trash on the street.
Great customer service and hospitality here! The price was affordable and it was close by a lot of places like the Piazza of Michelangelo and loved the vibe. The only caveat was the smell of the bathroom, but I believe it's because of the old buildings. Nevertheless, the breakfast was divine, and felt really at ease there.
Very welcoming B&B,wonderful people who welcomed us warmly highly recommended for anyone who wants to live a few days in Florence and stop in a b&b. The rooms are simply superb and the location I would say perfect.
