B&B Hotel Firenze Laurus Al Duomo

I recently stayed at B& B hotel Firenze Laurus Al Duomo and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spotless and modern, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The temperature in the room was perfect, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Additionally, the hotel’s location was excellent, conveniently situated near key attractions and amenities. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a top-notch stay.

This hotel is in a prime location and offers fair prices for your stay. All the main sights are walkable and less than a 20-minute walk away. I had the classic room with view and the bed is SO comfortable! It has an elevator as well. The hotel is slightly dated which presented some issues. For example, there was a gap in the shower glass so when I took a shower the floor became very wet. I had to stuff a towel to prevent this and the receptionist said that the hotel needs bathroom updates and there is nothing they can do. I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend ❤️

Best treatment ever got in a hotel!!!
- Staff: literally every staff we interacted was going the extra mile in politeness and proactive attitude
- Checkout: at 12:00h (most hotels have been 11am), and they also proactively offered to take care of our stuff after 12h
- AC: super good and silent (city as 35 degrees celcius)
- Room: smelling really good, great bathroom and bed very comfortable. Smart TV was a plus.
- Location: near the main restaurants that I had in my list to go try. Just walk out of the hotel and reach your hot spots
- Breakfast: above my expectations. The natural honeycomb was a plus!

We loved our stay - the staff was very friendly and accommodating to this group of Americans visiting Europe for the first time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was yummy! (Would love to have had bacon instead of those sausages - the only change I would make!) Great location to walk to many things in Florence - we stayed 2 1/2 days, but spent one in Tuscany...would have liked to have stayed one more day. And the terrace for breakfast is so lovely - wish they served dinner! Appreciated the good blackout curtains too. :)

I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is perfect, near train station and all major attraction sites. Room is clean, big and well kept. Bathroom is also very good and bright. Breakfast has good options. Hotel has very friendly/helpful staff.
For the price point under $200 per night, this is a great choice. My husband and I were both really happy that we decided to stay here. We'll be back in 2022!

Our stay at this hotel was very brief (1 night) however it met all expectations! It was perfectly located in easy walking distance from train station and located in the heart of Florence with beautiful city views. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very attentive and nice! We were able to leave our luggage well beyond check out which allowed us to explore Florence further. Would definitely recommend for the price point!

Receptionist who greeted me upon arrival (around 1 PM) was kind and helpful. The room was clean, large and comfortable with two minor issues that can be easily fixed. There are two chairs that are placed at the desk/laptop area that are extremely uncomfortable and impossible to use for more than a few minutes at a time. Replacing those with something that is more suitable and comfortable is easy and would make a huge difference for those of us who need to do work at a desk while traveling. The second issue is water pressure in the shower. It is way too low. My room was on the fifth floor of a hotel that has 7. Water pressure on the sink and the bidet was great, but way too low in the shower. Replacing shower heads with more efficient models would solve this issue.

I read a lot of good reviews on this place, and pictures looked nice as well. In reality, it isn’t super nice inside, so I’m not sure by what standard they are rating themselves a 4 star hotel. There was one review I read that noted that it does not look or operate like a 4 star, and now I see that I agree.

They say soundproof rooms, and they couldn’t be farther from soundproof. Every time a door shut while I was sleeping, I was jolted awake! Can also very clearly hear talking and commotion if there is any in the halls. But the doors slamming is what really got me.

Aside from those things, it is clean and comfortable for the most part, with nice staff. The location is absolutely amazing with a great view of the duomo (which is VERY close) on the rooftop. This is the reason I’m giving it a good rating, which I think is most people’s rationale as well.
