The Moon Boutique Hotel & Spa

We stayed for four nights during our vacation to Italy. The staff were very professional, helpful and kind. The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. We loved the shower waterfall and the spa that is available. It is a bit of a walk to the main tourist area, but also far enough to not have all of the noise. The breakfast was a fabulous presentation and delicious. We did use the spa services for a massage, but unfortunately it was a disappointing massage. It was not the most relaxing and didn't seem to do much for either of us and we are people who frequently receive massages. However, I do realize this can be preference and my review was not lowered due to this. The reason for a lower rating was our experience with the air conditioning. There is a controller in the room for you to set for your comfort. However, the front desk staff have control of your air conditioning. My husband had to call down three nights in a row to have them lower it because at midnight the air would shut off. We were so hot that I truly considered lying on the cold tile in the room. My husband did ask the 2nd and 3rd nights for them to leave the air where we had it set and was assured it would remain, but it did not. This needs to be told to guests that they do not have control or that it will automatically shut off. Sleeping is what is mainly done at a hotel, and this made my experience very rough.

The hotel staff were very professional and helpful. The room we had was spectacular, we used the sauna every day! The hotel itself was very clean and beautifully presented. It was a good walk to the centre of Florence but I would choose this hotel each time we visit the city as other comparable hotels in the city would be much expensive and probably not as good!

Moon Boutique Hotel & Spa was a wonderful surprise in Florence. Check in was quick, staff kind, and their dining tips spot on. My room felt fresh and serene, with a comfortable bed, effective blackout curtains, reliable WiFi, and a powerful shower. Housekeeping was impeccable. The small spa became my nightly reset; I loved the sauna and a relaxing massage. Breakfast offered quality pastries, fruit, eggs, and excellent cappuccinos. Location is ideal, close to the center yet peaceful at night. Minor notes: the elevator is tiny and front rooms catch occasional street noise. Overall, terrific value and I would return.

We thought this hotel was fantastic and would happily go again. Our room had everything we needed and was clean, breakfast was excellent, and the spa facilities were very nice. The staff were also very friendly and processes such as check in were quick and smooth. The hotel's location is also very convenient, being near the city centre and train station, as well as the city park.

I experienced the most loveliest stay at The Moon Boutique Hotel and Spa! The staff were very professional and welcoming, and I felt very much at home with the beautiful and most luminous decor and detail. The quality and standard of hospitality and catering was very high, and it has immediately become a favourite place of stay in Tuscany whenever I am on tour. Upon my arrival I requested a steamer for my concert outfit and it was immediately provided. I also thoroughly enjoyed the spa and warm treatment from the lovely members of staff, also at the reception desk. Very nice hotel in an excellent location, right on the edge of the old city and next to the river. The area has plenty of nice restaurants for lunch and dinner, in case you do not want to walk to the old city. However, the hotel is only 10 minutes walking from the City Centre and 15 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. The hotel itself has very nice rooms. It is very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. They were able to accomodate all our request (even requests to arrange flowers, special decoration in the room, wines, etc in order to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries). Breakfast is very nice. The hotel has its own parking (with extra charge) which is very convenient. There is also a SPA area which worth the visit. Everything was very nice. You can also arrange for a massage. Just speak to the reception and they will make everything happen! We had an amazing time!

Studied many hotel options for our recent visit to Florence... looking to be near the train station and historic center but out of the crowds.

We were so pleased we selected The Moon Hotel perfectly located in a very nice residential area.

Billy helped us with our luggage, checked us into our rooms, served us coffee and drinks in the bar area and gave us transportation advice.

The breakfast staff were very professional but also so friendly, responsive to any request.

This is a unique small hotel experience that we highly recommend.

From the minute you walk into the Moon it was absolutely fantastic. Praise goes out to the entire staff. The guys the front desk stood and greeted each person as they walk in the door, offered assistance or just a cheerful hello. The wait staff in the breakfast room was outstanding catering to anything you needed. I did not use the spa as I spent my days exploring but I would highly recommend this clean, beautiful boutique hotel.

The Moon Boutique Hotel & Spa is excellent for exploring Florence. Our room was spotlessly clean and the whole hotel was welcoming. We were greeted by Billy on our arrival. He always had a smile on his face and was very enthusiastic; nothing was ever too much trouble. The Spa was a very relaxing experience and we would have loved to have used it more but time was not on our side. Billy is an absolute credit to the Hotel. Thank you for helping us have such a fabulous holiday.
