Reviews
The elevator to the reception area is tiny with only just enough room for 2 people and their luggage. Their is no signage inside the elevaror as to what is on each floor. Reception itself is very clean and tidy and the gentleman who checked us in was very polite and spoke excellent English. The first impression of the room is good, you can see that they are trying to bring a bright and modern touch to an old building. Unfortunately first impressions do not last long. The bed is uncomfortable and the pillows are awful. If you are a light sleeper you should absolutely avoid this hotel as the traffic noise is unbelievable at all hours of the day and night. I reckon that the pit lane at Monaco on a race weekend is quieter than the road outside the hotel. I lost count of the number of times we were woken by motorbikes or emergency sirens. Add in the aircraft noise as you appear to be on the flight path from the airport and it is horrific. It is then unfortunate that when you have managed to get to sleep the shower then drips and runs randomly waking you up (the shower is separated from the bed by a glass screen only).
The lamp beside our bed did not work as someone had broken the switch, the shower was poor and the towels are some of the thinest I have ever experienced.
On a positive note, all of the staff are very friendly and their English is much better than my Italian and e were given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco during our stay ... unfortunately that is not enough to make us want to return.
Me and my husband had a Wedding in Amalfi cost and Nunu Hotel was last stay before our flight home. We arrived on Saturday and checked-in to leave our luggages before going out to town. My husband putted in the safe some personal items. On Sunday morning because of the rush I took from the safe our passports but forgot to take my pearl earings which were inside little black pocket (safe inside was black as well). In the evening at the Airport I have realized that I do not have my earings with me. I immediatelly called to the Hotel to ask if they found them. The guy who worked in the reception told he do no know anything and will check with the collegue. After our flight late at night I have called to the Hotel again. The same guy told me that lady will call me in the morning and he thinks they found my earings. I was happy to hear good news. But in the morning I did not receive any calls, so I called myself. Lady in the reception said that cleaning lady confirmed the safe was open and empty. Yes, for sure safe was open but definately not empty - there was my Wedding earings. I have asked to check again and the answer was the same. I just cannot believe how they can tell me such a lie, so asked to check with other guests who stayed in the same room after us - maybe they found earings in the safe. Lady said she will call me. And guess what - no calls all day. I have called once again on Monday evening - other lady said guests are out and once they came back, they will call me at the earliest. Once again - no calls till Tuesday lunch time. I have called again and again, no one answered. Then lady from reception called me back and said the same - safe was open and empty! The same day I have asked that Hotel Management will contact me - nothing happened. On Wednesday I have wrote claim on email, asked to share the same with Management and got an answer:
"Dear Ms Mazonaite,
unfortunately the earrings were not found, neither in the safe nor in the room nor anywhere in the hotel."
And then I asked one simple question - if the cleaning lady checked the safe immediately after our check out? Hotel has ignored this question. I have wrote the same question on Thursday via email and whats upp and got the same copy paste reply: "Dear Ms Mazonaite,
unfortunately the earrings were not found, neither in the safe nor in the room nor anywhere in the hotel."
If the answer is yes - that cleaning lady checked the safe immediately after our check out - she should found my Wedding earings in the safe.
And it is obvious that answer is 99% yes :)
Went outside 3 times and ask them to quiet down but useless.
Ask them if there's another room on a different floor, told us it's fully booked while we're the only one on this floor. How ironic!
Defintely not recommanding this hotel.
